"I forgot my I.D." She exclaimed, if she'd left her flat without it, she would only have to come back, even if she looked old enough, you never know which power tripping AH would be there, out to stop her fun and ask to see her I.D., So she ran to her bag that was on the counter to grab her driving licence and put it in her clutch bag.
Once she was now sure she had everything she quickly turned to leave, she brushed up against something and shuddered, goosebumps spread against her arms and she almost stumbled, "What the actual F**K! is this place actually haunted?!"
She said as she looked at the placed she accidentally brushed up against, there was nothing but air and Just as she was she was about to reach out to see if she could touch whatever was there, her phone rang loudly, scaring the bejesus out of her.
"Shit!" she exclaimed, patting her chest, she quickly went through her bag and saw it was Sammy calling her, she answered her phone. "Hello… Sammy… yeah I'm on my way now, I forgot my I.D. so I had to back for it… yeah, I'll be there soon… OK see in you 3 minutes.. Bye."
She then hung up the phone, looked around her flat one more time before grabbing her bag and leaving. As she closed the door she didn't notice the man who appeared out of nowhere was now standing in her living room watching as she closed her door.
"Whew, that was too close, I've got to tell the others, her perception is increasing, its almost time."- he said as he walked to her kitchen sink to get a glass of water, he was too scared just now, she nearly noticed him!
Then he realised something, she left, and he didn't. "Bloody heck! What's wrong with me today!" -He exclaimed as he quickly left the apartment to chase after his protectee, he's supposed to keep an eye on her and make sure she's safe, as he close the door he realised his invisibility cloak was lifted and he could be seen by anyone.
Luckily he hadn't left her building yet otherwise he would be screwed. Dang it!
As Sophia made her way to the designated meeting area, she kept feeling like she was being watched, it was a bugging, nagging feeling and it kept increasing as she made her way to the designated meeting area, as she kept looking around, noticing no one, she decided to try and not think about it.
Otherwise, she would go crazy and she was about to enjoy her night out, her first night out in months, so why let it be ruined by craziness.
As she made her way to the park entrance, she saw Sammy and the other workers standing there waiting for her. So, she quickened her steps, feeling guilty for making them wait for her.
"Hi guys, Sorry I kept you waiting, have you been waiting long?"- Sophia said while looking at the group guiltily.
When Sammy and the group saw Sophia, they were stunned. They had never seen a more beautiful woman. Not an exaggeration but she was absolutely stunning, she looked gorgeous in her dress and her make up was minimal but emphasized her features. She made their group look good.
Once Sammy managed to get his emotions in check, he realised that no one had spoken a word since she arrived and she had asked a question that he honestly couldn't remember so he spoke the first words that came to mind, "You look amazing." Sammy said dumbly, then realising it, he became really embarrassed.
Sophia smile at him and the group and started to give compliments to the girls and the guys too. "You guys look great too, really clean up too well!"- She said with a bright smile.
'Guys and girls liked compliments as well'. - She thought, so why not give them some as well, maybe it could break this uncomfortable silence that had now formed because everyone clearly went into a daze because of her. Not that she narcissistic or anything but it's true okay!
"Oh, thanks Sophia!"- Amanda, one of the barista's said with a giggle. "Guys we are running behind." Marc said, he is also one of the barista's and one of the buffest men she has ever seen in her life, the man was all muscle and tall, probably six foot two inches tall or so. Sophie often wondered why he would work as a barista but she figured a lot of people worked in unexpected places or in unexpected careers so she wouldn't judge, as you never know their reasons right?
