Both sides watched with the trepidation and anticipation of what would happen how he was going to deal with the attack even the rock demon attacking was little curious in it's heart about this strange person in front of it.

The guardians turned to the source with stunned look, Vaanavan chuckled at them like he was hearing some sort of joke and leisurely answered "Were you slandering me? when did you see me ever attacking that challenger hmm? " he straighten his body and stood tall and proud "I never go back on my words, I promised I wouldn't retaliate his attack or counteract but he was send flying by my basic energy shield what's there to accuse in this matter"
Vaanavan looked at them teasingly "Little friends you don't expect me to not even using such a basic defense measures what were you thinking after all I can't stand here to become training dummy for you" he then secretly thought 'And what's with the emotional outburst don't you guys pretended to be not understanding us now'
Vaanavan was indeed little relieved by exposing them, he didn't want to his newly gained subordinates to think of him or talk bad about him on his back on the assumption he was bullied a newly born unintelligent race that would ruin his reputation.

That doesn't made him any less frustrated or lessen his taunt "Hehehe, you don't get it don't you? it seems you wouldn't mind me disabling the shield let you have another chance " his face was set in mocking "I obviously thought giving you such a freebie for last ten minutes but seeing your performance being extremely mediocre I might as well just do that "
He sighed in dramatic fashion "At least this might give me some entertainment appease this boredom " his taunting slowly turned into quite melancholy if it's not for the slight interest in their formation now ten peak qi realm experts trying to destroy the shield around his body which was hovering less than dozen inches the ten was trying all sort of ways to move him or destroy his shield.
They now know better than using brute force so they become using quite some innovative ideas from raining stone projectile to throwing large boulders from using vibration to collapse the shield to bury or shift him using their earth manipulation.

Vaanavan was mildly amused by the boulderheads bewilderment over the rapid upgrade in the flaws of seemingly weak shield but Vaanavan control his expression not to show his enjoyment over this matter after few more attacks the hulking figure stopped its barrages and broodingly looking at him.
To which he showed his mock encouraging smile, the yellow green flames in its eyes dimmed little but it let out of an one of its annoying grating sound Vaanavan raised his eyebrows and grinned at that thing more provokingly than before.
Vaanavan watched other seven stepped up after conmmanding something to the rest of the rock demons they stride towards him on halfway three of them sinked into the ground as if the ground could swallow such a huge figures into it in such a swift way and the remaining five Insted of attack him surround him.
Each one take different direction then started to strike and poke the flimsy shield he conjured 'Hmm? this flimsy thing going to collapse if I didn't reinforce it ' he pondered as he tried to eliminate the trouble some flaws 'I hope they thought they can break this shield by attacking from all side if so I would be greatly disappointed ' despite his mocking thought his face was break into smile.
He was clearly enjoying every second of this despite creating few impressive feats with his own efforts he was never looked down on low level techniques as he still tried to upgrading during the battle was something he never done before after all this was only thing he can do if it was level higher he wouldn't be so sure in doing something similar.
But he do gain different kind of understanding over the basic level techniques it could be kind of rare opportunity for him experience this was infect better than just theoretical knowledge so he was extremely excited as he correcting them unknowingly the technique automatically become upgrade to profound level a qualitive change.
