Chapter 43 - Seventeenth Guardian, useless Grumblings, A Silver Serpent (part 2)

In the plain near the dark forest two different groups were standing silently while looking at the plain like they could see something, they were waiting for something about to happen, the atmosphere between the two groups were awkward if not little stiff as they ignoring each other presence like the other party didn't exist.

The rock demons were standing there like they were turned into a weird shaped boulders that were rooted to the spot for centuries they were standing there motionless they acted like they didn't care about the other tiny group staying near them or deliberately ignoring them even though they bowed their heads towards someone that definitely wasn't those weakling who couldn't put in their eyes.

The humans were angry seeing this attitude how could they not understand what was this rock heads were thinking but they could careless about them acting all high and mighty they didn't they bowed their heads in front of their ancestor as for the little disrespect the guardians know this was their meager power this was the reason they were treated like this they could do nothing about this at least for now.

On the other hand the guardians were thinking something else, all of them looking little restless and from time to time, they would talk something amongst them in hushed whispers, they have been standing here for quite some time to be exact they have been waiting here since long before the rock demons send here by their ancestor.

The Old Man was slowly pacing front and back his face was very thoughtful, the rest or either standing silent or whispering to each other in low voices as they seemed immersed in their small talk.

A curvaceous woman turned her attention to one of the guardians who, was unusually quiet for his character after some serious consideration she walk towards the pensive looking middle-aged man "What's the matter? why are you unusually quiet today? " she directly come to the point there was this surprise and concern expression on her face.

The Middle aged man merely glanced at the woman indifferently before he turned away to the other side look at something else he waved his hand impatiently "Woman don't bother me, can't you see I'm busy?" his voice was little petulant.

The woman looked at him with a raised eyebrow then she did carefully sizing him up before turning her head addressing someone else on the side "Mara! what do you think about his attitude could it be the old man about to die or do you think he is plotting something ?" she asked the young man standing little away from them Balli face twitched hearing this.

The young man expression turned little abnormal before he closely scrutinizing the middle aged man then confidently shake his head "Aunt Naala don't worry he, wouldn't dare to messing around anymore with lord teaching him lesson personally he would be obedient " his look was little relieved as If he was free of some burden then someone else join the fun.

Aadhi who was also standing silent interjected "Well, I'm relieved, I doubt this fellow would dare to continued fooling around anymore " he looking mockingly at Balli as if he was provoking him for saying something but alas aside from red face Balli didn't react to this sort of things.

" Does your head still hurts should I massage it for you teacher" Mara asked there was not only concern, the glee in his question for all who could hear .

"Did you want my help old man, I don't mind but you have to ask nicely for it" Naala said teasingly she then comfortingly said "didn't I always said act accordingly with your age now see what happened the lord personally teach you a lesson what would the newbies going to think of you? My father would be very ashamed" there was this underlying meaning in it.

Aadhi gently patted Balli and adviced him "Look what happened to you if you don't fooling around everywhere should the lord have to treat you like naughty kid? well don't embarrass yourself like this anymore to say you were my friend is already embarrassing at least don't drag us with you"

Balli's face flushed more and briefly take a look at the smiling face of his friend which caused to Aadhi to have a bad premonition so he quickly walked away looking back at Balli suspiciously he just felt like he was targeted by this petty person 'He wasn't going to plot something for this teasing would he? ' he take a few more looks.

He next went to the old man " Old demon, did you sent a message to the settlement" Aadhi asked with seriousness "They should be rushing here aren't They "

The Old Man nodded his head In affirmation "Yes I did send the message as soon as I come here, from my estimate they should be here in less than hour" he then cast his glanced at the rock demons before looking at the plain.

"What are you thinking so hard about now?" Aadhi asked curiously.

The Old Man looked at him then smiled amiably "Just thinking about our situation.... can you imagine what would have happened if the Lord didn't here our situation would be completely different shouldn't it? "

Aadhi fell silent a derisive laugh come from them, Balli strode towards them as he "Are you guys blind or something? wasn't the answer obvious already"

They raised their eyebrows in unison and looked at him in wonder Balli tiredly sighed and explained " You guys didn't even listening when the Lord explaining things or when you see the hints in reality yourself"

"If the Lord didn't descend down nothing would have happened we should still lived miserable life outside like Nomads there was no way in hell this rock heads would willing to come here in the first place " Balli gestured towards the big group " It was the Lord who, make this happen so? "

The Old Man nodded his head in agreement "Yes! now that I think about it, even if we don't do anything they would have died horribly the barrier would have protected us" he was stating the incident where few hours ago.

When the rock demons send here they look startled by the energy concentration they were frantically rushing towards the plain, the sixteen of them personally witnessed just what exactly their ancestor referring to, if the rock demons can't control their impulsive act none of them should have survived.

Vaanavan was forcefully dragged back to the cave once again, the system was extremely furious with him for carelessly meddle with things and scolded him for more than ten minutes, Vaanavan did indeed acted out of his agreement and did something the system repeatedly mentioned he shouldn't the result was scolding he was little happy with the way system handle things there is no torture session this time.

[How dare you? You dare to ruin things like that for us? I will let you know the consequences for your actions! do you think I would let you go out again? you can forget about using your clone technique anytime soon, humph!]

Vaanavan face darkened immediately but he knows it wasn't the time to argue with the system he did indeed make the system angry with him but he couldn't silently watch things proceed like that and he wasn't cautious like the system Vaanavan thought he had to do something about it so he acted out despite system's continuous warning.

He felt heart ache for the little serpent, this was like at some point he kind of sympathize with the snakelet, he want it to escape the fate of became food to its brethern somehow it's broke through its egg during the struggle and come out effectively surviving the cruel ending.

Vaanavan was overjoyed seeing this but the system once again informing what it did found poured cold water in his excitement, the snakelet was paid a huge price to its survival it's burned it's bloodline for brokethrow the eggshells because of the unstablity of its bloodline it was injured internally and it's blood line was rapidly collapsing there is a possibility the backlashes going to kill it.

Even if the snakelet survive past this then it still wouldn't have much of a time to live or the possibility of going to reach adulthood and gaining strength so it's fate doomed to die or live a miserable life.

After he heard the system's furious rants he spoke consolingly to the system "Why are you so worked up over this matter, don't think I'm stupid okay? " he countered " Doesn't the avatar obtain by that opportunity it could hide my fate and karma fully from sensed or affected anyone else so who are you fooling with this huh? "

[.....]

"Besides I didn't even step out of the boundary why are you blaming me was it wrong to save the poor thing don't be heartless system" a angry laughter echoed in his ears so continued to persuade the system "The poor thing fate was already flickering like a candle in the storm you don't expect me to act like I don't saw that do you?"

He looked down on his palm there was a small silver snake let curling around his finger his eyes were very tender As he placed it on his stone desk and observing this silver snake let unlike it's Brethren and Sistern It didn't have that purple hue on it's body which was completely silver like color.

[Idiotic Host, what are you some sort of Messiah, don't delude yourself okay this world was like this strong prosper while weak die it was the way of heavens if you don't carefull enough even you might become someones stepping stone, I can't believe! you are this ignorant]

[All it takes was little bit of carelessness to lose out everything, were you expecting me to acting all touched idiot!? there is always probability there is nothing hundred percent certain that bunch is every bit powerful as me, so don't think you can trust anything blindly got it!]

Vaanavan rolled his eyes as he was operating the control panel and watching the image of the guardians and rock demons Vaanavan raised an eyebrow when he see the few dozen qi realm experts rushing there and meeting up with the guardians "OH!" he was little surprised by their dedication.

He then turned his attention towards the rock heads and shook his heads silently " Both of them having this much of ego haha! This was very funny, I don't expect to this guardians to be haughty like this the humans " he smiled he, can understand the rock demons attitude but as they have a high combat power than human race and only willing to lower their head because of his means and the incoming danger.

Then it hit him 'The guardians are this prideful because of their ancestor, oops! my bad ' he thought to himself amusedly he indeed have to adjust his thoughts little bit to thought like the ancestor of human race.

He asked the system to contact them he felt their mental presence "Warriors come and see me at the top of the Mountain and let them know that they can settle near the blue mountain near them for now" Vaanavan watched as they hurriedly nodded the old man went towards the rock demons and pass the message.

Then suddenly the rock demons bodies are glowed in silver light they stiffed little and then they cautiously went towards the barrier this time it did not continue to obstruct them the first few people passed through barrier the rest of them perked up slowly trudged towards the barrier after crossing them they went on in the direction of blue mountain.

The ground trembled very hardly as they used elemental means to go to the allocated spot, Jada grumbled "I wish we have some special powers like them its going to be take longer time to reach the mountain"

The rest of the guardians are took their eyes off the huge figures but rushed to the direction of Misty Mountain it did indeed take them to some time they didn't dare to complain when they reached the Mountain it was already dawn.

"WHAT! SEVENTEENTH GUARDIANS" the sixteen of them exclaimed in shock,
