"Is everything alright, your Majesty?" The servant's voice shook as they asked. Adrian smiled. At first wanted to tease and make a huge scene, but refrained from doing so. Instead he just nodded and waved them away. Truth was, he was more focused on something more important. A spark of hatred set a flame in his heart as he watched Viola and Anry play around the snacks table. There was a time where he'd do the same. When he was dumb and refused to grow up. Now he stood alone, waiting for the time to be officially crowned king. He watched as Anry and Vi laughed and giggled at the small snacks. He hated how jealous he was. He wanted to be that kid. The one who had nothing to worry about, the one who just had to sit and absorb the title into their bones, never had to work for it. He hated her. No matter what he did he couldn't find a way around it. She killed their father and now she had the audacity to play and laugh.
"Viola! Sit down, for the love of God!" He took a slight joy in the way she shivered in fear. She first looked around the room for someone to defend her, but nothing came. Eventually she sat down. He heard Anry mumble under breath, but he was glad she knew her place. Time after that seemed to go pretty slowly. The silence that surrounded the room became more and more apparent as important people came in. Of course, they greeted the other people, but the three of them never conversed. Adrian watched as the youngest of them struggled to keep a professional stance as she shook hands with numerous people. He couldn't lie, he felt a little disheartened. The boys felt heavy as he made his way over to his sister. The child's mind constantly debated whether or not he should do this. After everything that happened, did she deserve to be beside him? Even though she was a murderer, she was his sister. Royalty no less.
"Hey," He made sure to whisper in case things went south. Not to his surprise, she ignored him. "So you're just ignoring me? Gosh, you're so mature."
"Quit speaking to me." The sound of anger was quickly noticed by the sound of her seething. But nonetheless, he also decided to play the ignoring game.
"Why?" He watched as she continued to keep a fake smile. "If you need to take a break, you can. So we can talk." Though he only received a side-eye. After a while of getting ignored, he decided to leave her alone. He wasn't expecting much, but a 'hi' would've sealed his wound. He looked around for anyone else he could convince to talk, but to no avail. No one was there. He knew Anry had left to check on more decoration, but other than her and Vi, he had no one else. Honestly it irked him. He never wanted to be alone. Viola on the other hand, had friends lining up to meet her outside. Heck, they had to get extra security to manage all of them. He gritted his teeth as he peeked over his shoulder to watch the 'star of the hour'. Why her? Why did she get the attention? On his day nonetheless. It was always like this. The people liked her. The servants looked up to her. Dad looked up to her. He wanted her to have this. The coronation. The crown. The power. Everything.

The sound of the town's bell caused him to snap out of his thoughts. It was time. Was he even ready for it? To be king? Well this father was ready and he had nothing Adrian had when he was young. Yeah. he was. He was ready to live the life he was destined to. It was his God-given birthright. For the first few minutes of the ceremony, the Duke took over. He spouted about how the kingdom had received a tragedy. At first the speech seemed like a sorrowful one, but then he picked it up. He went on about how 'King Adrian would insteel his father's values and lead with an iron fist.' Even though one of those statements was correct, it didn't stop Adrian from smiling at the crowd. For the next few hours it was like this. The Duke spouting words, not knowing the half of the story and Adrian taking the moment to bask in the glory of it all. It was all so… tiring. Adrian watched a group of crowd members roll their eyes or nod off as time went on.
"Alright!" The Duke soon opens his arms to announce the finale of the coronation. Finally after several hours of pretending he cared, something was ACTUALLY gonna happen. "How let us greet the ruler of Gravesville, King Adrian!" As he spoke Adrian finally moved forward to greet his subjects. For the first time since the real thing started, he heard cheer… and laughter. Some people, which he knew for years, would give a thumbs up in response to his new position. All the time he spent alone was nothing compared to what he was going through now. Right now he felt… happy. Like he had to right a wrong. And that's what he planned to do.
"Ladies and gentlemen." His voice caused silence to wash over the group of people. "Growing up, my father always taught me honesty. He told me honesty was the best way for the people to know how and who to trust. And I... believe that sole heartily." He looked over his shoulder to see where the two most important people in his life stood. Behind him Anry and Viola looked at him with smiles plastered along their faces. It almost brought him to tears. "And I'm here to tell you the truth, I've been holding on for a long time." A wave of mumbles circled through the crowd as they waited for his confession. "I have the misfortune of telling you… that my dearest sister murdered the king."
