Chapter 3 - The Great War.

"Baurta! Baurta! Come check this out!"a stout young guy called out to whoever he was referring to. He had disheveled green hair and a chiseled face coupled with beautiful yellow eyes. He wore a shiny black armor which covered every part of his body except for his head. A long shiny bladed staff hang on his back making him look menacing even though he had a baby face. A slightly muscular tall guy, about 6'4 jogged to his side upon hearing his name mentioned. " What's the matter Maddoc?" the guy who was probably Baurta asked. He had short, black hair, crystal black eyes adorning his angular face. He looked just as handsome as Maddoc . In fact, the looked slightly alike. He also wore a tight fitting black armor which rather set off his defined body. He also wielded a halberd which hang on his back. Maddoc pointed in to the lake which he stood beside. "Look at that rainbow like liquid in the lake. Don't you find it strange as something like this should have spread and dyed the lake but it's passing a route without turning." Maddoc said. "Mmm….this is pretty strange. Let's call the others and decide what we will do." Baurta said.

Maddoc nodded as he took a red firecracker from his storage ring. He lighted it and threw it upwards. As the cracker exploded, large golden letters lighted up the darkening sky. "ALERT!!!" It read. Ruffling noises could be heard as the message faded away.

"What's happening?!" "What's the SOS!" "Is it a beast?" Countless questions were thrown at the duo as four people appeared at their location. They were three males and a female. "Is something wrong somewhere?" A tall muscular guy with short brown hair and a full grown beard over a chiseled face with dark brown eyes asked. You may be wondering why no one asked" Are you okay?" or "Did you hurt yourself?" The answer is simple: they knew each other to be able to handle at least a Fexa Class beast without it being a life and death game. And this part of the Growler Lawn was known for its countless numbers of Fexa Class beasts and below so they seeing the SOS signal they were 98% sure that it wasn't a life and death game, not the two maniacs together. They all wore black armor.

"Yes senior brother Angrim. There seems to be a strange stream flowing through the lake here." Baurta said as he pointed to the rainbow colored liquid in the lake. The person referred to as senior brother was the tall muscular guy with a beard. His armor appeared to be a bit bulky with golden sheens on the chest and shoulder parts. He also wore a silver gauntlet with red scales running down the claw and wrist part. "What the f**k is that!" Angrim exclaimed. "Would you care to jump in and check?" A tall, slim guy in tight armor asked with a smirk. In fact he was the tallest there with slender legs and piano fingers. He had white messy hair which covered his left eye. His right eye was a dull grey color on an oval face. Two long daggers with tiger heads hang by his waist. His face was emotionless as he asked the question making Angrim scrunch up his face in annoyance. He was Lariciem. "Seriously! At this time?" An average looking guy asked. He had dirty blonde long hair and tiger brown eyes. His black armor had a red hoodie and slang on his back was a giant buster sword which looked too heavy for him but that wasn't the case for him. He had a handsome but savage look complimenting his shaped mustache. He was Demurral. The girl was the youngest of the team. They were hunters or say mercenaries. The girl was slim with well endowed body. Her armor stuck to her body exposing her goods. She had long, straight dark blue hair and gorgeous blue eyes which rather set off her unrivaled charm. Her oval face and puffy red lips made her breathtakingly beautiful. She looked a sculptured doll. She had a pair of twin swords which hang by her sides. Even though she was the youngest and most of the time acted cute she was the fiercest. You may again wonder why these people are together. The reason being that, even with their different looks, they had some kind similarities; which is, they are siblings. Angrim being the eldest, followed by Baurta, Demurral, Maddoc, Lariciem, then Marcea who was the only female.

"Even though it looks strange, it doesn't give off a dangerous vibe. I suggest we jump in if we want answers or we leave it be." Marcea observed. At the sound of this, Maddoc shivered subconsciously. Even Lariciem who wasn't fazed by things like these scrunched up his face in fear. This was one the attributes of Marcea: she was tigress to the them.

The group stood there for about five minutes still deciding on what to do if they should find out what the rainbow liquid was or go report it to the Mercenary Guild. As they stood there agreeing and disagreeing, a small whirlpool formed in the lake. It was so small and silent that they didn't notice. Even Lariciem who was known for his observance still failed to notice it. A fierce and strong suction force attacked the bank pulling everything into the small whirlpool. The group also noticed this and tried running away but they hit an invisible barrier which rather propelled them back into the area of the suction force which greedily sucked them into the small whirlpool. If one was standing far away from them, he would think they vanished but that wasn't the case. They fell into a 12cm wide whirlpool in a lake.

...…

Six people could be seen falling into an endless pit. They appeared unconscious, probably from the height and speed they were falling. But something seemed strange; the rainbow liquid was forming a protective layer over them preventing them from hitting anything and hurting themselves. They fell for 2 hours till they neared the bottom which surprisingly had light unlike what was portrayed at mouth of the pit. The speed of their descent reduced drastically as fell slowly into the rainbow like pool in the pit. A strange barrier prevented the lake from entering the pit. The moment their bodies fell into the pit, a bright, golden light enshrouded them. The light was so bright that it lit up the whole pit from bottom to top plus the whole lake.

...…

A group of 20 people approached the Demif Lake in the Growler's Lawn. They looked strange to begin with. They wore black clothes from top to bottom. Their skins were so pale that it was almost transparent. They had strange looking horns unlike the ones of the dwarves. Theirs were either dark red or blood red in color. The positions of their horns were also strange. Some had it on their chins, their foreheads, on their eyes;in fact in place of their eyes. The leader of the group was the only normal looking "person". He looked almost human but the thing that gave him out was the strange blood red bull sign on his forehead and the strange lines running down from his eyes to his chin. They were the highest race in Axelia. Axelia was the name of the place the current races were staying. The races were the Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Fairies, Vampires, Werewolves, Felines and the Demons who the strongest and highest race among the 8 races. The only thing was that the races lived in different places in Axelia away from each other. Even though they had an occasion where they meet each other for a meeting, they didn't mingle with each other. Besides, the demons didn't attend the meetings so they were seen as enemies to the other 7 races.

The leader the Demon group approached the lake and dipped his index finger into it. His eyes glowed red and sign on his forehead flashed red equally. He stood up with a wide grin on his face setting of his handsome appearance which was concealed by the cloak he was wearing. "That's the power of the gods. The humans beat us to it but we must get at all costs. Let's inform Prince Demos of this. I smell the great war around the corner." He said licking his lips.

...….

Six people materialized into a big hall. They were siblings mercenaries. They looked around them in fear and awe. The hall was like nothing they had seen before. Even the king's whole castle was hen coop in front the hall they were in. They were on the path of wondering how the exterior and other parts of probably, castle they were in. "Are we dead?" Lariciem exclaimed. "Not again" the rest exclaimed in unison. "Think about it. We were sucked into the lake and fell through a bottomless pit and find ourselves in here right after we probably passed out. I believe we are heaven." He replied. "I..it can't be…." Maddoc muttered.

"Before you make hasty conclusions, don't talk" a deep voice said. The group reacted by jumping in surprise. They looked towards the sound of the voice only to see something which will shock them for the rest of their lives.
