Chapter 4 - Ki-Jitsu

"We will continue after you both break through the last stage of ki-jitsu. Lith you are a prodigy to behold as feats like these are attainable at the age of 17. Well done. Vorden, your ki is so saturated that it can even affect Lith's ki without you practicing ki-jitsu. I'm sure today will be the day you both will break through the last stage of ki-jitsu. With Lith's talent and Vorden's strong ki, you both will assist each other in breaking through. Good luck and I'll appreciate if one of you can become a Pro-guda." a man said to two young boys who were seated beside him. The sat cross legged in a circle as they talked. The man had grey hair not because he was old but that was the normal color of his hair. He was just 35 years old. He had brown eyes and a broad, mature face. Even from his sitting position, one could tell he was muscular and tall. "Dad you're right. Senior brother is so amazing. He can even practice ki-jitsu when he's sleeping." One of the young boys, the youngest there said in praise of his elder brother. He was Lithium Branlock. The boy being praised was obviously Vorden, Vorden Branlock. Their father was Davies Branlock. Lith was tall for his age of 13. He had dirty blond long hair which was currently tied in a bun. He had tiger brown eyes and cute round face. His skin like his father's was fair. Vorden also had short winter grey messy hair which reached the nape of his neck. His finely chiseled face housed a pair of crystal dark blue eyes. The trio could be mistaken for fashion models as they looked freaking handsome with Lith being more on the cute side. Because of their otherworldly looks, they gathered attention everywhere they went which sometimes brought unnecessary problems to them especially the kids. In school, students and some teachers tried to bully them because of their looks which is pretty stupid. Their father worked as building contractor in a popular company,"The Warlocks" "Mmm…but when is mom coming?" Vorden asked. "I'm sure she will come very soon. Her mission this time involves a mid rank Sanik Class beast so it will take sometime but all I need you guys to do is to breakthrough the last stage. The Awakening Ceremony is just around the corner. If you achieve this which I believe you will, you will start your journey of becoming gudas" Davies told the brother pair as he stood up to leave. They were currently in the training room of their house. They lived in a two story blue house with a side garage and a spare empty building which they used as their training hall. It had two rooms;one for cultivation and the other for honing their fighting and weapon skills. "Good luck" Davies said and left the kids to the devices. Vorden and Lith nodded to their father and moved to different parts of the room. Two circular formations with strange runic symbols covered the ends of the room. Vorden and Lith moved towards each of the formations and sat cross legged in it. As a response, the formations lighted up in dull silvery color. The two boys closed their eyes and performed five hand signs which caused the the light from the formations to brighten up. The then ended by placing their hands together in a prayer form.

The atmosphere in the room changed continuously as it moved from warm to cold, then cold to hot and hot to chill, then chill to burning. The boys scrunched their faces in pain as they felt the changes in the room which they were feeling it more in their bodies. The temperatures rose and fell continuously without cease. A silver color light burst from Vorden and entered Lith causing the ki in him to erupt. The same silver colored light burst from Lith and combined with the one from Vorden. The two lights twisted furiously like storms in the room. The more the lights twisted the more pain the kids felt. After sometime, the lights slowed down. The lights went under drastic changes:the silver colors absorb some unknown energy from the environment and changed from silver to a bright rainbow color. The rainbow colored energy brought a kind of soothing feeling to the boys. The pain they were feeling some hours ago vanished in a second. They felt like they had never felt the pain of breaking through the last stage of ki-jitsu. Their eyes glowed for a while before it gradually dimmed.

......

Davies stood on the balcony of the house which faced the training hall and smiled. Rainbow light flowed through the hall through the little spaces in the building. It glowed brighter and brighter by the second pouring out its radiance on the whole building. Davies's smile grew wider and turned into a laugh. Tears flowed through his eyes complimenting his joy. They had done it. They've broken through the barrier, the chains that were holding them back. Now they can achieve their dreams of becoming the strongest people in the world. Even though it was the was dream of most children when they were very young but he was still happy. Maybe they would truly become the strongest people in the world, who knows? Now maybe he would get the chance to show the prideful and crappy Brimestones that they were wrong in judging his decision to marry Gamora, his wife. He would make the old man beg to bring him back.

Davies's story is sad but funny one. He is the first son and child of the Brimestone Clan leader. Of the three children the lord had, he was the next in line the position of Patriarch in the clan. His first obligation was to marry and according to clan rules, he was supposed to marry a woman from the clan but Davies, known for being stubborn, fell in love with an outsider and vowed to marry her. The penalty for such a thing was banishment from the clan. Davies had a chance to stop this but he still wanted to marry her. In fact, he already had a child with her which his father wasn't aware of. Only his siblings knew and they also kept it a secret from their father. The patriarch had no choice but to banish his beloved son. He was stripped of his name as a Brimestone and for his position as the next heir to the Brimestone throne, a limiter was put on him to prevent him from awakening the number of god arts a guda was supposed to awaken. Every guda had the chance to awaken three god arts in their lifetime. Not all gudas could achieve this feat but Davies's talent was unparalleled in cultivation so the limiter was like hell for him but he still stood his ground. He left the clan and married Gamora and their life continued.

......

The rainbow light dimmed revealing two young boys: a 17 year old boy and 13y year old boy. The aura around them had changed drastically setting off their otherworldly looks. They were now close to becoming gudas. Lith quickly stood up and rushed to doors of the training hall but a horrifying scream made him stop in his tracks. He turned to see Vorden lying on the floor with blowed seeping from his eyes, nose, ears, mouth and every other pores on his body. "Br…brother?"
