Hu Le Qi ran to where she was and apologized. That was the time their gaze and Zhao Ting Xin Yan crouched on the ground perplexed.
It was him! Her childhood sweetheart!
Her face had a huge smile worn on it as she stared absentmindedly at him.
He helped her up and she was taken to the infirmary and Hu Le Qi resumed playing.
Zhao Ting Xin Yan came after the match was over and looked all over for Hu Le Qi but could not find him. She asked around but nobody knew of his whereabouts. She was frustrated!
Aafterwards Zhao Ting Xin Yan walked to her sister and joined her conversation with the other family members.
Yan Xinyi was busy eating the food provided when she turned around and her gaze met with Hu Le Qi's, she then ran to the washrooms immediately.
She was now staring at her reflection on the mirror while other ladies were making touches on their makeup as some conversed.
After sometime, the welcome party was over and everyone retired to their homes. Zhao Ting Xin Yan had already asked around for the information about Hu Le Qi's current wife and was well informed.
........
The pop beat was vibrating off the walls as Que Yingyue and Yan Xinyi entered the admission doors.
The crowd was out in force and ready to party.
The drinks were flowing across the tables just as fast as the bartenders could make them, conversations were loud and patriots were struggling to hear over the thumping music and the dance floor was filled with sweaty bodies swaying to the beat
find dance clubs, with large crowds of young people.
Everyone was so excited to get inside. Some people danced around outside like little toy robots, to the beat of the fast music.
As the line continued growing outside, one found excitement through the massive doors that everyone was waiting to walk through.
Two steps inside and one was in a magical world of disco lights, laser beams, and the irreplaceable glow of black lights shinning on people.
Everyone was smiling and having such a good time. One doesn't even realize that one is in packed in the club like sardines.
The D J moved the people in ways no one has ever done before. Mixing the loud music on the turn tables to the beat you desire to hear, the D J watched the many different sized bodies of young men and women dancing around as if something had possessed their bodies.
The line at the bar was extremely frantic, with people getting water or their favorite alcoholic beverage.
Yan Xinyi and Que Yingyue were at one corner of the room with beer on top of the table.
They were competing over who would finish faster like a competition.
Soon, they were drunk and sleeping on the couch.
"I'm telling you, that jerk better behave or I will teach him manners." Que Yingyue said her voice full of disgust.
"We will beat him up like...like..." Yan Xinyi was looking for a word but got none.
"Let's go home." Yan Xinyi said as she pulled her friend out of the bar while staggering.
She was confused. Since when had the government decided to install two streetlights per interval.
The city was dark, and the street lights can't properly light every part of it. There was little traffic, and most cars speed away a bit over the limits.
Only a few windows appear lighted from inside. Most shops were only dimly lit with two exceptions. One is a 24/7 medical shop. The other one was a shop that was closed, and one wondered if they simply forgot to switch off the lights or they have a special contract with their power supplier.
If one waited long enough, they could have spotted a couple of rats running along the roadside.
Yan Xinyi and Que Yingyue were still walking when a tar black vehicle approached them with it's headlights on.
"You jerk! Do you want to blind us?!" Que Yingyue asked the driver.
A young man got off and approached Yan Xinyi.
"You got drunk again?" He inquired and then carried Yan Xinyi in his arms.
Yan Xinyi tried to resist while kicking her legs in the air.
"Let go of me! You jerk!" She said.
He then placed Yan Xinyi gently inside the car and her friend too.
Assistant Ju Jia Yi drove off to the Hu Mansion and Hu Le Qi ordered maid servants to take them in Yan Xinyi room and the other in the guest room.
The day dawned crisp and clear.
The sun poured through the windows and another day had dawned, bringing with it new hopes and aspirations.
The light of dawn seeped into her room.
Yan Xinyi woke up, rubbed her bleary eyes and walked to the window.
There was a pearly glow in the sky.
The first rays of sunlight lit up her cold room. The dawn chorus of melodic birdsong drifted in.
The rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky. Golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene.
The just-risen sun shone softly on the city streets, bringing with it a flurry of early-morning activity.
Children voices could be as they headed to school.
Que Yingyue woke up and was shocked seeing the ceiling above her.
That was not her home since it was fancy.
She sat on the bed, took her phone and dialed Yan Xinyi's phone number then placed the phone on her right ear.
Yan Xinyi was woken by the ringing phone, she rubbed her blurry eyes and sat on the bed.
She glided her finger on the green button after affirming that the number calling her was Que Yingyue's.
"Hello, what's up?" She greeted and inquired.
"Where are you?" Que Yingyue asked while looking around the room.
"My room in the Hu Mansion, and you?" Yan Xinyi asked.
"Unaware. "Que Yingyue answered.
"There's a guest room in the house. I'll come and check if you are there. Don't go anywhere." Yan Xinyi said as she hung up.
She got out of the room and headed to the guest room.
After arriving, she pushed the door open and both of them were relived to see each other.
Then suddenly, the rumbling of thunder was heard and lightening striked the sky making the place full of light for a minute.
Yan Xinyi drew the curtains aside and looked out the window.
A huffing wind rose up then, stirring the flaps of our tent.
A tinkling sound came to their ears as the first pearls of rain dropped onto the leaves.
