Throngs of newscasters were in the room who were preparing.
Zhao Ting Xin Yan got in and directly went to greet her family. She was pleased to see them.
As she turned around she was Hu Le Qi who approached her. He greeted her and they formally introduced themselves to each other.
Yan Xinyi was outside holding up her pair of binoculars having zoomed in watching the two from a distance.
"Hello and welcome to the welcome party for Zhao Ting Xin Yan." One of the ladies welcomed the guests. This startled Yan Xinyi making her hide her pair of binoculars in her purse.
The line at the entrance was not as long as she expected.
She turned around and spotted a young man in a navy blue modern suit and a pair tar black polished loafers.
He was making a phone call holding the invitation card.
He seemed pretty rich according to her examining.
After making the brief call, he walked over to a bar and took a pinot nior glass of an orange-blue drink with him.
Yan Xinyi could not say what type or what the name of the drink was but what was for sure is that the man was headed to the entrance of the room. She followed him there.
He showed his invitation card to the men standing there in tar black modern suits and was allowed to enter.
"Where is your invitation card?" The man asked in a thunderous voice.
"I'm with him." She replied as she pointed at the man walking past the door.
The man believed it and allowed her in.
She was lucky and heaved a sigh once she was inside.
Yan Xinyi was pretty that day, she was in a white and gold halter dress with white peep toe ankle stap platform wedge shoes and a glittery clutch bag.
She had a silver choker necklace, silver ear threader earrings and her hair cascading on her back.
As she was busy looking around the place, a young man in a tar black suit with a tray with pinot noir glasses full of pina colada approached her and she took one of the glasses from his tray after he lowered it and then went away.
Que Yingyue approached her friend silently while on her tippy toes and slapped her on her back.
Yan Xinyi was startled and almost dropped the glass. She was very angry and was prepared to scold the person who had done that.
Only to turn around and see her bestie, Qiu Yingyue. She was relieved and took a deep breath.
"How did you get in?" Qiu Yingyue asked while Yan Xinyi urged her to lower her voice.
"I pretended to be a man's fiancee." She answered truthfully.
"Lucky you!" Que Yingyue said.
They both walked over to a table and sat down. The table had people sitting on the chairs and only two remained empty.
"Let me introduce you to my boss." Que Yingyue said as she called over a young man.
Feng Zi Mo was surprised to see the lady who had his phone. He was really curious of her personality.
"Long time no see Mei Wei Qi." Feng Zi Mo said to Yan Xinyi. Que Yingyue was surprised and whispered to Yan Xinyi's ear.
"Did you change your name?"
"It's a long story." Yan Xinyi whispered back.
After talking for a long time, a young man in black approached Yan Xinyi and said,
"Miss, where is your invitation? We have been informed you have none."
"I am one of the caterers." Yan Xinyi replied.
"Then why are you not in the uniforms?"
"I'm laying low,keeping a low profile." She answered.
The man was convinced and left her since he had no position to question Zhao Guan Yi Nuo's arrangements.
Soon, all attention was diverted to the stage where a young lady spoke in a sugary voice.
"I take this opportunity to welcome you to Zhao Ting Xin Yan's welcome party. Feel at home. "Everybody applauded thunderously as Zhao Ting Xin Yan herself went to stage and thanked everybody for coming.
She then left and songs were played as people enjoyed.
"Isn't that Yan Xinyi?"Assistant Ju Jia Yi asked as he pointed to Yan Xinyi.
"We underestimated her." Hu Le Qi said and before he could continue Zhao Ting Xin Yan approached him and held his arm as she smiled amiably.
"Hello Hu Le Qi, long time no see." She said.
"Long time no see."
"I heard you got married." She said.
"If you have heard of it then why hold my arm in public? Didn't your parents teach you anything about manners?" He inquired coldly as he removed his arm from her embrace and left.
"Hmph!" Zhao Ting Xin Yan said angrily as she stomped her foot on the ground.
'How dare you ignore me because of that woman?' She asked herself as she stared angrily on the ground.
"Nobody can take what is mine." She said as she stared at Hu Le Qi's back and held the hem of her dress in dismay.
She had met with Hu Le Qi when they were kids but soon parted ways after middle school and then found each other again at the high school basketball tournament.
Eight years ago,Zhao Ting Xin Yan was the captain of her high school's basketball team.
Her school had won competing against Hu Le Qi's girls' team and had accompanied her friend to watch the boys' match.
At that time, Hu Le Qi was the best player in the team and the most popular due to his academic performance and handsome face.
Zhao Ting Xin Yan at the match time, watched Hu Le Qi leap on the court after successfully evading his opponents and dribbling the ball while keeping watch.
Her heart pounded as she saw him stop and aim at the hoop before he released the ball in the air and it successfully landed in the hoop.
His schoolmates cheered in joy and unison. He repeatedly did the same together with other boys and the other school too.
Then again he lept on the court and stopped in the middle of the court attempting to shoot a three pointer but the ball bounced on the hoop and flew straight landing on Zhao Ting Xin Yan's forehead making her loose balance and fall on the ground.
