Once they were out of the store, both Guang Liang and Alexander looked at each other with dark looks.
Then without a single sign, both of them moved apart and went in opposite directions.
They both muttered something under their breaths as they left.
"Siscon."
"Stalker."
But even though they said these hurtful things, there weren't really any ill intentions between them.
They just went their separate ways until they arrived at portals and headed off to different parts of the world.
The city that this cafe was in was called Hunter City.
It was a new city that had been built in the middle of the ocean by the Awakener Association which was considered neutral ground between all nations. However, the main reason that it was built was to be a transport relay that would allow hunters to travel all over the world to deal with dungeon threats.
That was why most of the people that were in this city were hunters.
The station that the cafe was near was one of the busiest portal stations in the entire world, so there were plenty of people that passed by outside the cafe. However, most of the time, there were only a few people that went in.
After all, this cafe was famous in the hunter world.
It was a cafe where the S Rankers gathered, it was hard for it not to become famous.
After Guang Liang went through the portal, he arrived back at the headquarters of his guild, the Brilliant Light Guild.
When he became a S Ranker, Su Guang Liang had formed his own guild which had become one of the top five guilds in the world.
In fact, even the cafe was one of the businesses that the guild had started, but Guang Liang had completely transferred all ownership rights over to his big sister.
Since he was the only S Ranker in the guild, naturally no one dared to say anything to criticize this decision.
When he arrived at the headquarters, he was immediately surrounded by his subordinates.
"Boss Light, where did you go? There's only twenty minutes left before the raid starts!"
"Boss Light, did you take the special portal pass? You know that we only have five of those left! Each one used is one that's lost forever!"
"Boss Light, the Crimson Demon Guild wants to cooperate with us on a raid! What should we say to them?"
Guang Liang revealed an impatient look seeing them all and then like a kid, he started waving his hands to chase them off as he said, "Go and take this up with the vice guild master, that's what he's for!"
His vice guild master standing on the side couldn't help revealing a bitter smile when he heard this.
The subordinates already knew that there was no chance that Guang Liang would actually do any of this work since he was the S Ranker. He was the only true powerhouse in their guild and the one that their guild was centered around.
All he really had to do was be in the guild to bring prestige to their guild and nothing else.
Most of the work was normally handled by the vice guild master in the first place.
But the vice guild master had encouraged the subordinates to ask Guang Liang to do a bit of the work just so he could get a little break.
Unfortunately, it turned out exactly how he had expected it to turn out…
After getting rid of all those people, Guang Liang headed into the raid preparation room to prepare for their raid today.
Before each and every raid that his guild did, he had a special ceremony that he performed and today wasn't an exception.
As he sat there in the preparation room, he picked up the boxed lunch in front of him and started scarfing down the food. The expressions that he made made it seem like the food that he was eating was the most delicious food in the world.
But if anyone ate it, they certainly would have agreed.
All of the other members of the guild in the same preparation room looked at him with various different expressions, but none of them revealed a look of surprise since they were all used to this. All of the raiders coming on the raid today were veteran members of the guild, so they were used to seeing the guild master acting this way.
After he finished the food, Guang Liang felt a burst of energy fill him.
That was because the boxed lunch that he ate wasn't just a normal boxed lunch.
It wasn't just because it was a special box lunch that his big sister made for him, but rather because it was a boxed lunch that she had made with her awakened skill.
His big sister didn't have a fighting awakening skill, she had a skill that was suited for daily life. The skill that Maria had awakened was called Cook.
Normally when people awakened their skills, they would receive a rank for the skills. This would be measured by the Hunter Organization, the international organization that managed all hunters.
When Maria awakened her skill, she had it measured by the Hunter Organization and the result was that it had only been measured as a F Grade Skill, which was naturally the lowest grade possible.
But the people who ate her food knew that her skill wasn't just a F Grade Skill…
The case in point was Su Guang Liang.
Before he had eaten Maria's food, he had only been a D Rank Hunter who had a D Grade Skill. But after he ate Maria's food…he became one of the few S Rankers in the world!
That was because Maria's skill wasn't actually a F Grade Skill, but rather a skill that was at a level that couldn't be measured by the equipment of the Hunter Organization.
This was something that Guang Liang was only able to confirm after he became a S Ranker, but there was a grade above the S Grade that was called the Ex Grade. However that wasn't the grade that Maria's skill was at.
There was another grade that was even higher above that called the Legendary Grade, yet once again that wasn't what Maria's skill was at.
The highest grade possible, the Mythic Grade, the same level as the gods, that was what grade Maria was at.
That meant that the food that she cooked was food that was prepared for the gods themselves.
Eating this kind of food, it was impossible for Guang Liang not to reach the level that he was at.
But of course, there was a condition for Maria's food to work. It would only increase one's power until their potential limit and once they reached that, it wouldn't allow them to become any stronger.
So only those that were destined to be S Rankers or had the potential to become S Rankers would become S Rankers in the end.
After he finished off Maria's lunch box, Guang Liang turned to face his team and said, "It's time to go."
All of them nodded and followed behind Guang Liang fearlessly towards the portal they were raiding.
…
On the opposite side of the planet, Alexander Winston had also just finished the lunch box that he had bought from Maria's cafe.
As soon as he finished, his hair was filled with electricity and his eyes were sparkling as he led his team into the portal in front of him.
Without a single bit of fear, he said, "Let's do this."
All of his teammates behind him gave excited nods of agreement.
This was the reason why the S Rankers of the world couldn't help gathering in Maria's cafe.
Once they had her food, it was impossible for them to separate themselves from her for the rest of their lives.
Of course none of them ever dared to abduct her or hurt her because they knew how many different S Rankers her food had reached. If they ever tried to take her for themselves, they would face the wrath of countless S Rankers at once.
That was why almost all the S Rankers in the world had made a pact to never harm Maria. It could even be said that Maria was the safest person in the world with all these S Rankers protecting her.
But if they could ever convince her to be theirs with a different method…Say if she was to ever become anyone's wife…
Then that wouldn't break their pact.
Which was exactly what Alexander Winston had in mind.
Even as he was raising this dungeon, his thoughts were completely on how to get Maria to marry him.
…
"The Brilliant Light Guild was able to raid a four star dungeon this afternoon and they finished it in record time. It's said that the guild master Light single-handedly fought…"
"The Royal Guild cleared out a four star dungeon this afternoon and prevented a possible dungeon break in Dubai. The Thunder God held an autograph signing event right outside the closed dungeon after…"
Hearing these reports on the news, Maria couldn't help shaking her head and giving a sigh. But at the same time, she couldn't help revealing a happy look.
She was happy seeing her little brother helping people with his powers like this.
Also even though Alexander annoyed her with his wedding proposals each day, they were still close friends, so she was happy to see him doing his part to keep the world safe.
But then she turned off the TV in the cafe and turned her attention to cleaning up. It was already getting late and she still needed to prepare some things for tomorrow morning.
But before she could get to the cleaning, the door to the cafe suddenly opened.
There was a person in a black cloak that came in. This person gave off a very eerie feeling as they stood there, but Maria faced them without any fear.
She wasn't even surprised to see this person coming into the store this late at night.
All she looked at was the drops of blood that came from the hems of their cloak, falling to the ground. She couldn't help shaking her head and saying, "I just cleaned that floor…"
The cloaked person said in a muffled voice that made it hard to tell if they were male or female, "Sorry, I didn't notice it."
Maria waved her hand and said, "It's fine." Then she looked at the black cloaked person with a worried look and asked, "Are you alright?"
The black cloaked person said with a nod, "It's not my blood."
Maria just gave an "oh" before not asking any other questions.
She went to the counter and pulled out a boxed meal for the cloaked figure. The cloaked figure gave her the exact amount for it before taking it and turning to leave.
As they left, Maria said from behind them, "Take care out there."
That person waved their hand behind them before disappearing into the night.
If the S Rankers had been there to see them, they would have definitely recognized this person.
This black cloaked person was a famous…or rather infamous person in this world.
They were the Assassin King, Wu Qing.
The world's greatest killer for hire.
