Third person's point of view:
The sound of police vans blaring their horns echoed through the serene neighborhood as they screeched to a halt in front of a modest house. The commotion caught the attention of the residents, and a feeling of unease settled upon them like a suffocating cloud.
Kendall Campbell, a young lady with matted hair and fear etched across her face, rushed hastily to the door, clumsily putting on a facade of composure. The officer's firm knock reverberated through the silent corridor, sending shivers down her spine. Tentatively, Kendall opened the door, her eyes widening in surprise and dread as she laid eyes on the uniformed figures standing before her.
The lead investigator, Detective Markson, stared at Kendall with a stern expression, his eyes cold and devoid of emotion. He wasted no time and delivered the shocking accusation, his voice laced with a mix of authority and accusation.
"Kendall Campbell, you're under arrest for the murder of Miss Kayla Lee and the abduction of Mr. and Mrs. Garcia."
Confusion gripped Kendall's voice as she stammered, utterly taken aback by the sudden turn of events. "W-what are you talking about? I didn't do anything!"
Detective Markson's piercing eyes bore into her soul, as if attempting to extract the truth from within her. He shook his head, dismissing her feeble attempt at innocence. "Don't play innocent. It doesn't suit you. The evidence is stacked against you, Kendall."
Behind her, a man emerged from the shadows, his exhaustion evident in his worn-out expression. Mateo, Kendall's baby daddy, had arrived just in time to witness the unfolding chaos. His face contorted with anguish and desperation as he realized the magnitude of the situation.
"Mateo, don't let them take me," Kendall pleaded, her voice trembling with desperation. "I'm innocent. Please, we need to do something quickly if you cherish our dear Kadmiel. Remember, he's all we've got left."
Tears welled up in Mateo's eyes, his heart torn between her blackmail and the fear that engulfed him. He took a deep breath, determined not to let Kendall bear the weight of her crime. "I'm sorry to say, but they're doing their job. One thing I'm sure of, Kendall, is that I won't let them blame you for someone else's heinous act."
The tension escalated as the officers grew impatient, their commanding voices demanding action. "Move it!" they ordered, their authority leaving no room for protest.
As Kendall was forcefully escorted towards the waiting police vehicles, her eyes locked with Mateo's for one last moment. Their unspoken bond conveyed trust, and the unyielding belief in her innocence. Determination ignited within him, promising to uncover the truth and fight for justice.
The doors of the police van shut with a resounding thud, sealing Kendall's fate for the time being. The horrid allegations shrouded her in darkness. Yet, amidst the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerged, as Mateo vowed to tear down the accusations and prove her innocence, ensuring their son's future remained untainted.
