Aurelia: Hey, good morning. When are we meeting up today? I'm dressed up already.
Him: Sorry. We can't see each other again. Aurora is getting suspicious and I hate it.
Aurelia: Oh, lover boy. She's such a drama queen:/ Just forget her now. You know, if we miss out on today's mission, we will lose everything. We are damn close.
Him: I know. I will find a way out of this, I promise.
Aurelia: Don't chicken out.
Adrian closed the text, not knowing what to reply. It was morning already. Aurora looked peaceful, sleeping in his arms. His fingers brushed her cheeks and trailed across her lips.
He beat down the urge to kiss her without her permission.
Again, he had to leave without her notice. He placed her head on a pillow and got out of bed. Then he undressed himself, went into the shower room and came out in a towel.
He dressed up in his casual outfit; a white t-shirt and a pair of cargo pants. He wore his favorite perfume and grabbed his car key, about to leave.
Not until someone stopped him.
"Where are you hurrying off to, this morning?" Aurora asked, sitting up on the bed.
Adrian didn't realized she was awake until now.
"Actually, I was about telling you. Uh, it's–"
She frowned, arching her left brow. "Work, again?"
"No. I– I want to see someone."
She twitched her lips. "The girl you've been seeing lately– Aurelia?"
He walked up to the bed and kissed her cheek. "I will catch up with you later. Bye."
"It's Stacey's birthday today," she burst the bubble, hoping he will have a change of mind.
He just remembered Anastatia singing it to his ears.
"Gush, I forgot. I will send someone to arrange for that. The day just began, there's still time," he said, walking to the door.
"Why don't we plan it ourselves? I have taken a day off at work."
"Sorry, but today is a busy day for me. I'm going to bring someone home tonight, so make arrangements for it too. Have a nice day."
How could a man not have time for his family?
"Bye," she waved with a sad face, but he already left.
This was the peak. She could tolerate every other thing, but not this.
Who was he bringing home?
Aurelia?¿
The thoughts of welcoming another woman into her matrimonial home gave her chills.
It could just be a visitor after all, she sighed as she made way for Anastatia's room. Stacey was playing with her nanny's daughter; Muna when she walked in.
"Happy birthday, jewel. My baby is three!" Aurora screamed, planting wet kisses on her face.
"Stop it, mum. You're teasing me," Anastatia pouted, chuckling.
"No, I won't. I'm so happy for you. You know, you're the best thing that happened in my life, that's why I love you the most."
"I love you too, mummy," she smiled, giving her a light kiss.
"Get ready, baby. We're throwing a surprise party for you."
"Will you invite me, aunt Aurora?" Muna asked.
"Of course, darling."
"Thank you, aunt. You're the best."
Anastatia's chest stuck out, proud. "My mum is the best mum ever."
"No. It's mine," Muna argued.
"I don't agree with you. My mum is the best. Right, mummy?" Stacey asked, making Aurora laugh at their childishness.
She smiled. "You both are equally right. Don't fight over small things, okay?"
"Okay," they chorused.
Anastatia turned to Muna with an apologetic face. "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry, too," Muna apologized and they hugged each other, giggling.
The doorbell rang, so she left to get the door. One of the maids was at door already when she got there. It was a female event planner by name Chloe Addams– the one Adrian called over, she guessed.
After discussing the interior decors and the necessary things, she left for her room. Adrian left his laptop at home, so she could access it and mail his friends an invitation letter.

He didn't even have much friends, she sighed. At least, it would save them more money. She searched through for his female contacts, but could only find one.
Kendall.
That was the mysterious lady. The same name he called that night. She needed to dig into his life and know his past.
She deserved to know everything, right?

She hoped she didn't make a big mistake.
She shut down his laptop after inviting his company employees over, then she went to the bathroom.
