Chapter 7 - Shattered Secrets

As Daede neared the rocky ruins of what seemed to be a small temple of sorts, he gawked at the fact civilization existed outisde Earth.

He knew logically, the odds of life existing beyond Earth was 100% possible and very realistic considering the number of planets and stars Human's had discovered back home.

However, seeing it was different.

The temple like structure had four main obelisks with a semi roofed hall in the center. It was worn down and one of the obelisks was destroyed while the others had severe damages.

He was surprised to see they still stood even in this barren land that seemed to have fought off a corruptive fog.

Nonetheless, his curiosity was peeked. This was a legitimate sign of advanced civilization and on a planet that he had no freaking clue about. Which made the experience so much more exciting to Daede.

"What a sight, sigh." He admired the structures and the runic like language that ran their surfaces.

He neared towards the middle and saw another structure there, a small obelisk that was wider and shorter. It had a center piece that seemed to be glowing slightly but there were minor cracks alongside its smooth edges.

"Guess even aliens can have OCD." Daede laughed internally at his remark as he noticed the sophisticated architecture of the destroyed temple.

He neared the center and as he did he suddenly felt intrigued as he felt energy coming off from the center piece.

"Hm? This thing must be pretty legit if it can still produce energy after what the rest of this area experienced." Daede mumbled.

Seeing was really something and with seeing, the vices any conscious being would have would be revealed in certain situations. Especially this one.

"To touch the shiny piece in the middle or not to touch the shiny piece in the middle. Ah! The questions, can they be answered?" Daede thought out loud as he neared the center piece.

Seeing the intricate designs and vein like pathways on the Obelisk at the center, Daede knew but he didn't know exactly what he knew.

"It's clearly important." Daede thought and continued to ponder.

Do remember, our geek may be a geek but he had ascended to the high ranks of space jelly-ness with his measly human experiment so it says quite a bit about the man/ball of jelly consciousness at hand.

As Daede turned on his investigative side, he noticed that nothing else seemed to be important besides the center piece and not touching it seemed redundant in his situation.

"Even if I list the reasons to be wary of this thing, it doesn't change the fact I'm on a barren planet, saw the ultimate fighting championship with actual universal contenders, and finally, got totally lost.

I better touch the shiny thing. Who knows?" Daede muttered as he moved his ball of self towards the shiny piece and gently stretched a tendril of his being towards the shiny centrepiece.

What neither he nor anything in existence knew at that moment was something very worthwhile laid within this orb, a last remaining remnant of a time long forgotten, left on the shattered remains of a once thriving planet, though unfortunate, had somehow wrought a complete exile and destruction of itself.

For a planet to end up in a turbulent space within the cosmos hidden. Within its turbulence but also imprisoned from leaving its exile something truly proportionate to the consequences must have been done.

And for this accursed place to be their home, with destruction running rampant on its surface without care for its existence and none to bear the pressure of its inevitable destruction, it made no sense for it to even remain a planet.

Yet this planet continued to exist within its prison in space.

Truly a wonder of creation.

"Poke"

The Orb:"..."

Daede:"..."

The Planet:"..."

And then nothingness. The void trembled as usual and the universe continued its course. Terrifying beings roamed and bugs reproduced.

However, what once was, disappeared...

The turbulent planet, its occupation in space, everything as though it was but a mirage.

Time was truly relative in space. The universe could bend time and space at will for it is part of itself. With its will being executed. What once was no longer is yet what should not come to pass, passed.

[... As such some time passed ...]

In a distant dimension of space, forever parts of a whole one couldn't even begin to fathom, a meteor hurdled through the quiet tides of space.

Creating its own final spark as it continued its course to who knows where.

Such happenings is what led to such a mystical place to live in, the universe. Daede, our young psychopath from Earth, had just woken up or at least that was what he felt like he had done. He hadn't been unconscious in a while so he was fearful immediately.

"Huh? What the hell just happened!?" Daede looked around and he noticed he was restricted from moving.

What was even weirder was that he realized he was inside the shiny orb and once he adjusted his consciousness he gasped and went silent.

A couple of extremely slow minutes passed.

"My little Earthly self's adventures are a little crazy..."

He could not believe the craziness he was experiencing since he had left Earth. Every moment is one catastrophe after another yet he couldn't be happier for a moment as he finally understood what the shiny thing was.

"I got a new body baby!" Daede yelled for joy at the weird satisfaction he had from now being inside the shiny thing rather than floating jelly.

Human things...
