Chapter 9 - Buried undersea

The tides rang about the beach shores.

The breath of life surrounded the shores alongside its salty atmosphere.

Vibrant life swam within the waters as vibrant life grew on the land.

Yet, within the depths of the seas. Lie a menace to be. Slowly growing within its shiny surface, lay a beast whose blissfully dormant.

A year passed. Peace reigned in the seas and the evergreen lands.

The arrival of Daede left unnoticed within the realm.

Daede, however, was torturing himself. The poor masochist.

"The blobs of information" that lay within his shiny body were a headache and a half to resolve.

An entire foreign language. No reference. An eternity of mystery for any normal researcher.

Luckily, Daede was lucky. His idiocy either truly resolved his issues, or he truly died and this is his Heaven. Consciously he knew not. But he believed he succeeded at least in sending his soul and mind somewhere new.

A multitude of factors had determined his fate and he may only have known of a few of them. Though the ones he knew at least did lead to the current events.

Daede was proud of that fact. No matter what, he was still the cause of the following events. Without his choice to do the crazy teleporting, with no scientific skills of any sort, he wouldn't be on a foreign planet with a hidden codex of a foreign civilization.

"10/10 my exit from Earth. At least Earthlings could be proud of him if they ever knew of his exploits. Ha! Christopher Colombus? Tsk tsk. More like Daede the Legend... hmm Daede the beast? Na... Daede the excellent. Hmm, I like that one. Sigh... let's get back to the task at hand." Daede was thinking out loud like he usually did the past year.

The solitude was a little hard without something to keep him occupied and learning about the ruined civilizations' "blobs" were the only available resource he had.

He noticed a few traits in his new "shiny body". He was able to sustain himself somehow due to a minor pull his shiny surface layer was naturally causing as though the element it was made of naturally reacted this way with various environments. Though it was a theory to Daede, it was worth noting.

Another finding was that his consciousness was sharpened and strengthened throughout his journey.

It almost felt like he had caused a chain of voluntary events that led to the Universe letting him get a shot at existing beyond his young life on Earth.

The key points he understood of this effect were the damage his whole being took on the initial "jelly ascension" as Daede calls it. The recovery from the massive ocean of jelly from which he ruled a small sector dubbed "Space Jelly-dom". Finally, it was the fusion with the shiny rock.

"I am sure to the universe, such occurrences are hardly a matter of concern. An eternally moving space from which unknowns pop up all the time. Sigh... what a mysterious place we exist within." Daede marveled every day at the mysteries of the Universe and its existence and his existence within its existence. It was the type of thought that brought his mind wonder and joy from the pure feeling of discovery it presents you with every day.

His learning ability was directly promoted due to the fortuitous increase in conscious power and focus he was able to wield. The Jelly from his dom was quite the supplement to his consciousness and so was not sleeping for literally the... the entire time.

He had also discovered that there retained a small portion of the jelly he originally arrived with that was still coating him and the outer exterior of his mind within the body.

The curious changes were all searched for and studied by Daede. If there was one key point he had as his saving grace from insanity was that there was always a plan within his mind that he would try and achieve no matter the cost. As you can see, a sacrifice of leaving behind his civilization, a sacrifice of his entire fleshly human body, a sacrifice of risking his very existence for this slim chance at a greater life beyond the stars.

His will had driven him into a corner of its own making and a crazy and completely batshit unsafe corner as well.

Though, he survived. We don't know how and it remains a mystery to all and especially himself. Just like a baby born without really requesting it. It just happens, that baby grows and becomes a person and we aren't really sure where that person came from aside from what we already know but beyond that where their soul was created to how is it incubated, we remain ignorant.

After all, since the process is a visible process, creating artificial life is possible as long as one understands the knowledge behind its existence and execution.

Knowledge is really the key that can open any door. One that is ignorant of matters, cannot affect the matters in which they remain ignorant. At least beyond the superficial "effect" causality creates.

If you understood space like the back of your hand and it's every working and intricate fibre as though you were born with the knowledge then you could bend and warp it to your whims.

The reason behind such power is that since the subject of space itself can warp and bend as they are characteristics of space, then if you knew of its workings and the corresponding knowledge that it contains. Then by grasping this knowledge you can use it to make space bow to your whims. As you become its master and are no longer forced to remain within its rules.

It's like the difference between just owning a computer and knowing how to use your computer.

Daede used all his efforts and newly gained processing power to thoroughly study the only piece of knowledge he has.

It took weeks for his super-powered human consciousness to create some sort of reference with certain bits from the stored data. He was lucky as well that some data even contained image-like representations.

As though an archeologist digging for buried remnants and studying their history until they can translate it into understandable pieces of information.

It was a tedious process but Daede was without any resources but the knowledge he gained within the destroyed lands and he didn't even know how to explore beyond his body so he was really without choice and he knew that there should be something that could maybe help him in there.

As such the past year of gruelling work left Daede a little bothered but from the progress, he was making he knew he was close to fully deciphering the language at least a little as the content was slightly confusing to fully digest.

Such complex and detailed data being studied had also unknowingly affected Daede's conscious blob as it ever so slowly was refining itself under the intense pressure of translating an entirely foreign language without any assistance or reference available.

Certainly, unknown to himself, a language as ancient and mysterious as this one.
