The book had the title "Foundation of Mages in the path of Magic".
Mary looked at where her son had been pointing his index finger, and she saw his husband's bookshelf with almost twenty books that have been arranged in a horizontal position perfectly.
She went near the bookshelf where her son had been pointing his little finger and she looked back at her son.
Mary grabs a book and said "Is this the book you wanted to get, Rubick?", Rubick shook his head sideways.
Mary grabbed another book and asked Rubick if the book she was grabbing now was the book that Rubick desired.
Rubick shook his head again in sideways.
"No… Mama" Rubick said.
"Tat… wa…Mama" Rubick added while pointing his finger in that specific book.
Mary grabs the book that was placed on the eleventh order starting from the right, "Is this the one, Rubick?" Mary asked Rubick.
Rubick happily nods his head and said "Yet Mama! I lap yu Mama!" Rubick hurriedly runs towards his mother and hugged her mother's legs.
Mary looked at the title of the book that her son desires.
She saw the Title of the book and read it "Foundation of Mages in the path of Magic", she didn't know if it was just a coincidence that Rubick really selected this specific book or not.
Mary looked at Rubick and said, "My little baby, do you want to become a mage?".
Rubick acted like he didn't know what his mother had been telling him, in fact, he felt a little scared because in the sense of 'what if his mother already knew that he selected the book specifically without any coincidences?'
Rubick decided to act innocently in front of her mother, so he made his decision into an action and said "Mej…? Mama…? wat…it…mej mama?" he directly said to her mother and additionally gave her a puppy eyes as a sign of his curiosity.
"Well, my baby Rubick, mages are those person like your father, they have the ability to create a phenomenon and they can bend concepts and something unbelievable to the naked eye," Mary gave an explanation to her son when she saw the curious look on Rubick's little eyes.
Mary wanted to scream and cry at her inner consciousness because she didn't even know if she gave the correct information to her curious son.
"' Yusoph, I'm sorry, I'll be soon becoming a failure mother of Rubick. I can feel that he now desires to become a mage and it's because of what I've told him."' Mary said inwardly through her mind.
"Wow…! Papa… bogsh… bogsh?" Rubick replied to what her mother had told him and he acted firing a spell.
"Mama…? Rubick mej… bogsh… bogsh…" Rubick said to Mary while devilishly smiling within his soul.
Mary heard what her son had told her and she just gave Rubick a very sweet and lovingly smile, but within her soul, she was screaming and shouting while saying "Yusoph! I just told you earlier that I felt our son wanted to become a mage, and see? I'm not mistaken! If you only hid your books silently this would never happen!".
Mary couldn't just reject what her son had wanted to become.
She doesn't have any hatred for Rubick if he would like to follow his father's steps, it's just that, she's not a mage herself, how can she teach her son about magic?
"So Rubick, you would like to become a mage like your papa, Right?" Mary asked her son and her purpose was to know her son's definite answer while listening attentively.
"Yet…Mama, Rubick want…like…Papa." Rubick said to his mother without any hesitance and of course his soul began celebrating because of the question his mother had thrown at him.
"Okay, I got it Rubick." Mary replied to her son's answer.
"But first, before we read this book, I need to teach you the letters and numbers and how to read them, you got it Rubick?" Mary said to her son.
"Letas…Nabers… Reat? Yet Mama! Pleat" Rubick replied to his mother and he can feel his mother's aura of determination which was a good sign for him.
Actually, Rubick wasn't able to read the whole title of the book.
Rubick had been observing what his father had been reading in the past three years while he is having a chance to be seated on his father's lap.
Rubick really tried to follow what his father had been reading.
Unfortunately, self-learning regarding reading was a very difficult task for him.
He just memorized and familiarized the letter combination for the word "Magic" and "Foundation" that he saw in the book and heard from the mouth of Yusoph.
When he saw the book on his father's mini bookshelf with a title that contains a word "Magic" and "Foundation" thirty-two days ago, he knew that it has a connection to his path of learning these magical arts.
Starting from the day that he saw the book with that title indicated, Rubick can only take a glance at the book so that he can make sure that the book would not be gone missing or be replaced by Yusoph in another location within their household.
The duration of Yusophs' recent task that they had received was fifteen days and it was about protecting a certain person traveling from one of the capitals in the Gran'dea continent named Utopium to Grangeren which is also another capital within Gran'dea.
Fourteen days had passed and Mary was quite shocked at the huge improvement in her son.
She was in disbelief status for the past few days and it was because of her son that could quickly grasp, absorb, and use the eighteen letters and also the same with the number system.
She could not imagine a three-year-old child would be able to learn and apply all of those knowledge in just fourteen days.
Right now, she can only watch her son read something from the book she had given to him for the main purpose of practicing and improving his reading skills.
"Yusoph, I don't know where I went wrong from the very beginning. I don't even know if it's my own mistake or it's just that, our son was born a genius for him to become like you." Mary's deepest thoughts within her mind and the cause of this were none other than her son, Rubick.

Another day had passed and they finally finished and completed their mercenary task.
Yusoph's group of mercenaries was composed of five different professions. They have a swordswoman in their group named Rubia, a bodybuilder man who's also a priest named Tom, a six-footer tall scout ranger named Grandell, a frontline tanker, vanguard and attack receiver named Dea which was a loli, and lastly, a very handsome magic caster on their group named Yusoph.
