Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Destiny

Rubia is a swordswoman who possessed half human blood and half-red dragon blood. She has scarlet hair, red color irised eyes with a vertical pupil like a reptile, and tan-colored skin. She has extraordinary pride when it comes to her skills and it's because red dragons are known as prideful creatures. She is the leader of their Mercenary Group named "Flaming Ember", it was named by her because no one can disagree with her decisions or they will be haunted by Rubia.

Rubia wore red colored armor which was also enchanted to boost its effect. Her sword which was a bloody red color possessed an overwhelming aura of heat that even a hard metal can be melted instantly if she used it to its "Origin Form: Inferno".

Tom is a Priest who was personally selected by the Goddess of Water through an oracle that was sent to a Saintess of the Church. He has hazel brown colored hair, cyan-color irised eyes, and a pale skin while possessing a barbarian body that even those people who met him for the first time can naturally assume that he is their vanguard due to his body stature.

Tom was a very timid guy who was also a very silent one. Sometimes, whenever the group had spare time, Tom will always prioritize kneeling, praying, and committing to her Goddess. He also wore a navy-blue colored priest robe with a golden necklace on his neck that symbolizes and represents the Water Goddess.

Grandell is a scout ranger who came from a family with a diluted bloodline of giants that has been long extinct in the World of Lebradour, The Tribe of the Giants went extinct because of the Ancient War that causes their whole bloodline started declining and also it keeps diluting through time. Grandell has a black hair color, brown-colored irised eyes, a tan-colored skin.

Grandell is a very talkative person which was the complete opposite of Tom, and the most mind-blowing part was that Tom and Grandell are childhood best friends. Whenever Grandell had some news that he knew of or something goes on in his mind, he will immediately approach Tom to gossip about it, which is quite hilarious. The rest of the group can only assume that the reason why Tom had always been kneeling whenever they have a spare time was that, he is asking for her Goddes's forgiveness in regards to Grandell's daily actions.

Grandell wore a lightweight camouflage patterned armor for the compatibilities of his scouting and speed. He was armed with a huge bow and arrow with outstanding damage and impact as a long-range attacker. Each arrow he used possessed a fatality almost comparable to a mage's "Meteor" magic spell.

Dea the Loli was the main defense provider of the group, she has orange hair color which also has the same color palette as her iris on her eyes, and also her skin had almost the same complexion compared to Tom's skin color or rather she's even much paler. She was a half-bloodied dwarf and a half-bloodied human, it's quite odd because the women of the dwarves are also hairy but less hairy compared to men dwarves, but when it comes to Dea she certainly possessed the characteristics of a human, the only characteristics that she possessed from the dwarves bloodline are the dwarves body height.

To be honest, within the "Flaming Ember" group of mercenaries, Dea was the oldest of them all, she was already in her early thirties which was quite shocking. Dea possessed a huge shield that was much taller than her and the shield was tough enough to be damaged and destroyed, she was also equipped with heavy armor that specializes in heavy attack defense.

And Lastly, Yusoph, the magic caster of the group.

He is the father of Rubick, he has blond hair, green-colored irised eyes, and a fair skin complexion.

Yusoph is a seventh-circle mage who had become independent since the time his parents died when he was just eleven years old, and it's due to an unexpected monster invasion in his old Village named Lakrus Village.

When his parents died protecting him from the sudden monster attacks it is where he felt himself being useless, he loves magic but at that specific time, he doesn't have any knowledge of any third-tier offensive magic spells yet.

Yusoph's family only has a low status within the Gran'dea continent and they are pretty poor.

The only thing his parents can afford is their daily necessities wherein they couldn't even able to provide support for Yusoph's dream of becoming an official mage.

After his parents sacrificed themselves to save their son, Yusoph lost everything, he lost his passion, family, and even his motivation.

He didn't know any relatives within their family's bloodline, and because of that, he decided to go ahead into their capital city which was Utopium.

Yusoph became a beggar within Utopium and he was eleven years old at that time.

After three years of being a beggar, Yusoph finally turned fourteen years of age.

When Yusoph just casually begs for something to eat, there's a certain someone who gave him a basket that contained plenty of foods.

Yusoph was dumbfounded when he saw the basket, he looked at the person who gave him the basket.

That person had a very smooth silver hair down to her waist, she has a pale skin complexion and what makes Yusoph became starstruck was her golden-colored irised eyes.

Yes, it was Mary.

Mary wore a white-colored dress that time that it makes her look like an angel that came from heaven.

Both of them looked at each other, even Yusoph couldn't really trust his eyes from the first time he saw Mary.

He didn't even know if Mary was a real person or not, she is just unrealistically beautiful inside and out.

"Thank you very much, my lady, I really appreciate your help in giving the poor as myself a food to eat." Yusoph said directly at the Goddess beauty in front of him.

"Please, do not thank me, I am only helping the poor with what they didn't have," Mary replied to the beggar in front of her.

After Mary replied to the beggar which was Yusoph, she decided to walk out that that place, but after taking her third step, she heard someone who gave her his name.

Yusoph saw that the Goddess of Beauty in front of him started to walk out from where he was sitting, he doesn't even know if he can saw her in the future or not.

Yusoph's heart started to beat hastily and it was because he really wanted to know the name of the lady.

He thought of so many things like "She is in heaven and I am only at the soil, she is totally out of my reach" but he disregarded all his fear and all the future impossibilities.

Yusoph shouted his name at the lady, he shouted gently "My lady! My name is Yusoph Vandalaur, can this lowly beggar know her lady's name if possible?".

Mary heard what the beggar had said and turned around to look at him and said "Of course! Yusoph, why not? My name is Mary Fredellin" Mary answered the question that Yusoph had thrown at her.

Yusoph was really happy at that time, that even his tears started to fall from his poor eyes.

Mary saw the man crying, she went back on the beggar and she asked "Why are you crying, my dear?" after Mary said this, she grabbed her handkerchief from the pocket of her white dress and started to wipe Yusophs' shedded tears on his face.

Even though Yusophs' face was very unbearable to see because of all the dirt that had been successfully accumulated through so many years, Mary didn't hesitate and she kept wiping gently her handkerchief on the face of Yusoph.

"Yusoph? You can stop crying now, or else your very handsome face will fade." Mary smiled while saying this.

Yusoph heard what Mary had said…
