Five days before Izik met the Acolyte Tri Radha, Izik woke up late. To be fair, he got in bed around 5 in the morning so it was only fitting for him to wake up a little over after lunch. Though he had been asleep for a number of days, he couldn't help but still feel exhausted. Clearing a dungeon was more physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausting than he expected especially if you were thrown in it without your consent.
His green eyes squint on the window flashing before him. Pushing himself to sit down, he read the details of his /Daily Quest/. Izik was already planning to do little training. He was planning to continue how he had always trained himself before in hopes to raise some of his stat. He didn't expect that he will receive a Daily Quest for it.
Smiling, he jumped off his bed and washed his face. Grabbing his training clothes, he changed. The appearance of a Daily Quest only gave him more motivation, not to mention if he did what was asked of him, he'll be able to get 200 gold coins and that's not just any amount of money.
Izik had also been thinking of ways to raise his gold coins now that he will need them more considering he had been eyeing certain items from the shop. Wasting no time, Izik did some stretches that he learned years ago that helped to prepare his body for all the training he'll be doing. Once he was satisfied with his little stretches, Izik left the house and began his run.
His house was in an isolated land that had been known to the people of the town as private. No one really went to that part of Forvi unless they were not from the town or they got lost. Izik was unsure if the whole land was still registered under his father's name. It's not like he cared or anything however, if it was still under his father's name then he doesn't know whether to get pissed or be grateful that all these years his own damn father left him alone.
The possibility that his sponsor was his own father or mother did cross his mind several times. The sponsor he has doesn't really send him letters. It's not like he or she never sent one, it's more that it's rare and most of the letters he received were limited to one or two sentences without any sign-off. There was no name nor seal. It was done on a clean blank paper that doesn't give him a single clue as to which house or family his sponsor belongs to.
The only clue he has is the handwriting and it's not like he didn't try to find them in Bizevau but he knew that he wouldn't really find his sponsor in Bizevau.
Izik would like to think that if it was any of his parents they would have sent him some long coy letter explaining themselves and maybe telling him that they were sorry and that they love him still. His memories of his parents were not as clear as the years go by but as far as he remembered, his father was a proud man. He would always brag about everything he had or accomplished no matter how worthless they were. His mother was somehow similar. She was talkative and she and Izik could talk to no end even when Izik was barely able to form long sentences and his pronunciation was not the best.
With that knowledge, Izik was sure that none of his parents was his sponsor.
'Maybe he or she will appear at my graduation.' Izik thought as he continued to run.
Graduating from Bizevau was not an easy feat. The entrance examination was brutal. For Laics, they would usually take a three-hour long examination on various subjects while the other designations had to take some kind of aptitude test that will determine the level of their skill. And since the academy was dormitory type they couldn't just accept everyone who wanted to study in Bizevau. Every year, they only open their doors to 50 to 75 students for each faction.
A lot of noble families wanted their children to enter Bizevau. To them having kids that study in Bizevau was something they could brag about in salons and tea parties. The school fee was also something that no commoner can afford. Izik was flabbergasted when he learned how much a year in the academy cost but he also kind of understood why. The buildings were topnotch, every facility was fantastic. The food was delicious and the dormitory rooms, especially the solo ones, were spacious and well-designed. Everything they needed was on campus. Not to mention it also has a portion where they can even shop and eat in small cafes and restaurants.
If he will think about it, Bizevau had the right to charge that kind of money with the perks and facilities they offered. Not to mention, their professors were all prominent and guaranteed to be experts in their chosen fields.
Izik remembered studying like no other. Reading books as much as he can and paying people to be his tutor with the money his sponsor sent him. His sponsor sent him new clothes and shoes when he was about to take his examination. It came with a simple letter that says nothing but 'Good luck' on it.
Breathing heavily, Izik slowed down to a walk as soon as he remembered that Bizevau has a policy in which you will need to take an exam before every school year. If you failed it, you are not going to enroll for that school year. The very thought left a sour taste in his mouth. He mentally noted that he needed to study.
His eyes darted to the window before him.

"Hmm," Izik let out a pleased hum seeing how the window was helpful in keeping track of his progress. Taking a deep breath, he began his run again. Once he was finished with his run, he was back at his place for some water and a few more stretches before he went to the backyard and continued with his Daily Quest.
The sun has already set when he finished his Daily Quest, he lay on the cold wooden floor, staring at the ceiling of his house before he finally managed to get some strength to get up and take a bath and change his clothes.

He couldn't help but smile the moment he saw his level going up and so was his stat. Somehow he was more excited about that compared to the gold coins he received. Deciding to earn more attribute points, Izik didn't use them to level up his skills yet. Instead, he just grabbed his robe and some money before teleporting himself near the entrance of the town.
As he was already hungry, he just went to the first restaurant he saw and ordered himself food. He would have to update his research on the right food to consume in order for him to build strength and muscle but for now, he would just help himself to some good food.
After eating, he left to do a bit of grocery shopping. He knew he couldn't buy a lot considering it was already evening but he would need to at least have a bit of food supply back in his place. Once he was satisfied with what he bought, he went to a flower shop.
"Two bouquets of white roses please," he told the young lady in the shop.
"Coming right up!" She began gathering the roses. "Would you like me to use some special paper? We also have some silk ribbons available!" she offered with an excited smile.
"Please do," Izik replied roaming around the shop and checking on the remaining flowers.
"Don't worry, I'll make them look pretty for you!"
Izik didn't bother replying and just gently touched a leaf from one of the plants in the shop. He blankly stared at the flowers before him while the lady work on wrapping the roses.
"Whoever the lady you are going to give them is lucky! Did you know that white roses meant loyalty, purity, and innocence?"
"No," Izik lied.
"I'm sure the lady will appreciate it! She must be beautiful for you to choose such a gift!" Izik understands her excitement. Roses were expensive as they don't really grow in their area so they had to be imported from other towns. And among the roses, one of the most expensive was the white one. "Here you go!" The young lady showed Izik the bouquets. They're beautiful. "She'll be so happy seeing them!"
"Let's hope so," Izik smiled as he paid for the flowers. He also left a bit of a tip for the young lady's enthusiasm. As soon as he left the shop, he turned into some narrow alley and teleported outside the town where the cemetery was located.
Izik shut his eyes tight. There were times that he still get a bit dizzy from using the skill that's why he was using it as much as he can in order for him to get used to the feeling. He was planning to train with it so he could use it more efficiently in combat.
Letting out a heavy sigh, he regained his composure and walked his way to two new graves. It wasn't hard to spot when it was teeming with flowers still. Stopping in front of the graves, he saw a wreath that has an insignia of the Soleil. Izik tried his best not to feel any resentment but just as he thought, sometimes, it was easier to blame someone than to blame oneself.
Placing down the bouquets on each grave, Izik let a pained smile paint his lips, "I'm sorry." He wondered how many times had he said the same words.
"I'm really sorry."
