Izik let out a groan as he twisted and turned on the bed. Fluttering his eyes open, he was welcomed by the annoying window flashing against the unfamiliar ceiling. Shutting his eyes tight, Izik focused on reigning over the pounding of his head. He could no longer feel the pain he had when he got out of the dungeon. He could guess that he was healed by an Acolyte. Forcing himself, Izik sat down and tried to push down the pain he felt.

"Where am I?" he muttered weakly, his throat parched.

Green eyes looked all over the room. Izik doesn't know where he was but he was sure he was in some noble's house because the room was big and filled with furniture that he wouldn't be able to afford. At least not yet.

The room was dark and the only light came from the full moon outside that spilled through the huge windows. His eyes darted to the huge bed he was currently on. The mattress was softer than the one he has in Bizevau. The covers were all made of quality silk and he was graced with numerous pillows.

As soon as his stomach growled, he knew the reason for his headache. He needed to get food and as much as he has to thank whoever took him in and healed him, Izik also knew he had to get out of there as fast as he could. Clicking on the claim rewards on the window, he was directed to his new skills.

Just like that the pounding of his head was gone but the growling of his stomach was much worst. Izik let out an exasperated sigh. He wished he could purchase food and drinks from the shop but as far as he could remember there wasn't anything like that in that shop. All of it has been items that he could barely afford.

The new skill window also popped up

[ Active Skill πŸ—‘οΈ ]

[ HEAVENLY FIRE

β†’ A basic attack skill that allows the user to summon and control the heavenly fire. ]

That piqued Izik's interest. Does that mean he could control an element? If so, then that does mean that he's a Hunter and not a Guide. A Hunter with elemental magic. Taking a deep breath, he concentrated, imagining the flow of mana in his body. At this rate, he would have to go back to Bizevau earlier than planned so he could use the training facility and the library. He had to properly know how to use his mana. It was like he was a kid fumbling all over the place and relying solely on his instincts.

Letting out a long sigh, he opened his palm before him and imagined a small fire. Izik nearly screamed the moment a small fire appeared above his hands.

"Woah," he muttered, breathless.

The fire was not like anything else that he had seen. It was more of a light yellow color and it gave off some sparkle. It almost look like water that was sparkling because of the sun. It reminded him of the embers that floated around Xanthe when he closed the dungeon.

The fire was beautiful. Now, he understood why it was called Heavenly Fire.

Taking a deep breath, Izik concentrated to make it big. The fire flared strong, lighting up the entire room. He couldn't help but smile as he commanded it to be smaller and made it follow his finger that he swayed around. Unsure how to extinguish it, Izik imagined the flames retreating and somehow it worked. Satisfied with his skill, he then checked on his profile.

The last he remembered was being on level three. He guessed because he finished the event, he was given enough points that made him reach level 5. His eyes then darted toward the designation.

"What?" he was in disbelief, he was sure he was able to use his mana for something else and he even got himself an attack skill but why was his designation still Guide? Was there a mistake in the system? Shouldn't he be a Hunter instead?

Deciding not to think too much of it, he moved to the attribute points. 10 wasn't much but it was sure enough to help him upgrade certain skills. All of his passive skills level up whenever he leveled up, which meant he could focus those attribute points on his active skills.

Izik scrolled down his profile.

He let out a hum staring at his stats. They all increased significantly much to his delight. He started with either 2 or 5 on the stats and now he managed to increase all of them by at least 10 points. He still got a long way to go but it was a good start. If he trained more or if he got himself inside a dungeon, he'll get more chances to increase his stats.

Scrolling up, he clicked on his passive skills.

"I thought I have to level up Heavenly Body," He muttered. "Well, that's less work but also, it's a very useful skill as it is." Izik was satisfied with his passive skills but he was definitely looking forward to reaching the maximum level for each skill.

Going back to the main window, he clicked on his active skills.

Izik knew he was not going to be a Guide so he didn't bother upgrading his guiding skill... yet even when something in him told him that he may need to upgrade it. Maybe one of these days he will but for now it was nowhere near his priority. He never wanted to be a Guide in the first place. Izik then clicked on yes as lights surrounded him.

A window popped up congratulating him for upgrading his skill.

Letting out a sigh, Izik jumped off the bed and scoured the place for a pen and paper. Luckily, he found some in one of the drawers of the bedside table. He wrote a simple thank you note before he changed into his clothes that were folded neatly on one of the chairs.

Based on how they had the time to not only wash and dry it but also repair it, Izik was most likely out for a couple of days. Most likely 3 days. He turned to the door hearing footsteps coming. He saw the door handle shake a bit. Izik then quickly activated his teleport skill with his house on his mind.

Before the door could open, Izik almost fell face-first on the floor inside his house. Taking a deep breath, he walked to his study to grab his school's given pocket watch. It was already 3 in the morning and god, he was hungry. He doesn't even know if there was any place that would offer him food at this time but grabbing some coins, Izik teleported himself somewhere before entering their town.

He barely hid his excitement seeing how it looked the same as if there wasn't a dungeon that ripped through it days ago. The thought of the dungeon brought back memories of Rina and James which Izik quickly shook off.

Luckily, he found a small pub that was still open. Ordering as much food as he wanted, Izik began stuffing himself while thinking of the ways he could test his skill. Tomorrow, he would have to find a way to enter dungeons but before that, he had to go to an Acolyte for a re-assessment. He sure hoped that his assessment will give him the result he wanted and needed.

After eating, he decided to take a walk for a while, admiring the stars and the full moon in the cloudless sky while totally being unaware of the chaos he left in the north mansion because of his disappearance.
