The room became darker then midnight after the men left and closed the heavy latch on the rusted iron door. All ten woman crowded around their new arrive that lay precariously on the dirty foul smelling ground; as she began to stir they all crowded in farther, a few trying to check for injuries. After a gentle nudge her eyes finally fluttered opened as she tried to gain some sense of her surroundings; one of the youngest and newest girls knelt down on the ground beside her quietly muttering the entire time,
"It's going to be okay. You're new here but it's going to be okay. Just do what they tell us and nobody will come to any harm."
Elizabeth kept looking around as the strange woman knelt next to her and spoke in a language she couldn't comprehend. It was the same language the old man had used when they'd first met. Upon realizing this she let's out a blood curdling scream only to have the unfamiliar woman clamp her hands firmly over her mouth.
They began to struggle as the stranger spoke again and again in the language. Elizabeth, had begun to register with the people who betrayed her. Finally she was able to get the woman off of her as she tried bolting in a random direction; only to be met with several unfamiliar hands attempting to grab onto her. She bats at them and utters a simple request,
"Just let me go home."
Only to be met with bone chilling silence at the realization that they had a major language barrier. The women turned toward each other with the same thought racing through their minds; how do we tell her, life before being sold is completely over?
Several hours passed between Elizabeth's break downs and the other women silently plotting. Pretty soon heavy footsteps could be heard descending three cracked and busted concrete steps. The women crowded closer together along the wall adjacent from the iron door; they were always in for a nasty surprise when the guards came down.
