Everyone in the venue clapped their hands while Chantal was on the floor looking at the man in front of her.
Mateo caresses the edge of his lips while grinning, "Too excited to the point that you haven't changed your dress?" he said while looking at the sitting Chantal.
Chantal didn't know what she was going to feel when she started to feel disgusted, the man in front of her offered her a hand but she didn't accept it and stood up with her weak knees.
Roman, Chantal's father laughed at the scene that his daughter has created, he clapped his hand while meeting Chantal, "you two seemed to be close, did you meet each other before?" he asked while also looking at Mateo who was standing straight from kneeling.
Chantal's heartthrob hard as she looked at the man that was behind them as her father waited for the young man's response, Mateo cleared his throat and smiled, "No, I don't know your daughter but unlike any other woman she's unique. A strong independent woman."
"You thought your daughter well Mr. Miller! Especially on how to act in front of a man." Mateo glared at Chantal.
Chantal knew he was talking about last night and looked the other way as she felt her cheeks blush.
Roman chuckled at the thought felt moved and hugged Mateo, "Thank you for your kind words Mateo, but for now, I should have my word that my daughter is not easy to deal with."
Mateo smiled brightly, "I'll try, and even if it wasn't easy I couldn't give up easily without a fight."
Roman appeared to be a happy man as the guest was looking at the commotion that only the three people on stage knew, Chantal was listening to the conversation and she felt like she was being sold by her father, she looked at her father raising a toast and Chantal did nothing but hold her waist and shake her head.
"A toast!" Roman smiled, "A toast to my daughter Chantal and Mateo Harris's wedding!"
Chantal let out a sigh of frustration and her gaze went to Mateo who was just looking at her, Chantal paused for a while and rolled her eyes at him.
Chantal walked towards Roman with a stern face, "Dad we need to talk."
Roman continued to smile in front of the guest and said, "Talk to me later! Can't you see that we have guests?"
Chantal clapped her hands slowly while smiling, "Talk to me or I'll ruin your little engagement party by letting them know that I don't know what was going on."
Roman's face suddenly turned cold and held his daughter's arm, Chantal just joined her father with annoyance on her face.
Roman stopped behind the big curtails and turned to his guards, "Take Miss Chantal to a room."
"But dad!"
"If Miss Chantal was naughty enough, tell me immediately! I'll send her—abroad." Roman turned his back and as soon as the curtain opened a smile appeared on his lips.
Roman went to where Mateo was standing, someone was whispering something and as the blinds were closed by 2 people, Chantal saw a glimpse of Mateo smirking at her.
Chantal continuously stumped her feet to vent her frustration, "Jerk!" she shouted but it was not heard because of the loud music coming from the dance hall.
---
Chantal was bored and had been walking around a room where the guards had put her, she felt distressed and uneasy.
When she reached the room she was surprised to see that there was already lingerie ready on the bed it was suspicious to look at but that's what she was wearing when she went to sleep.
So Chantal came up with the conclusion that she would stay another night in this hotel.
Chantal was so annoyed when suddenly the door opened, revealing her father with a hint of redness on his face. Chantal looked closely at her father and saw that he was not drunk yet.
"What is the meaning of that announcement? Why didn't you even warn me, dad?"
Roman sat on the sofa supported by his cane, "Why? Am I not allowed to have the wish to have grandchildren?"
Chantal started to pace and looked at her father in disbelief, "You should've waited for me to decide, you're not a God!"
Roman stood up and was about to slap Chantal with the back of his hand when he was surprised that Chantal didn't even flinch, the old man let out a sigh.
"I don't know what else to do with you and think of it as a way to straighten your path. Mateo is a nice guy! I'm sure he'll take care of you."
"You should've married him instead if you think he was that great." Chantal bluntly said to Roman.
Roman just stood up and had enough of the blabbering Chantal was giving him. Chantal crossed her arms in front of her not seeing her father go out of the door.
The surrounding remained silent after the door opened again, Chantal was so pissed, "Just let me be, dad!"
Chantal turned and the mood of her heart started to change, she started to feel fear, "What are you doing here?"
Mateo walked towards Chantal until the woman in front of him looked up at him, "You're father told me that you needed someone to fill you up."
Chantal looked at Mateo's moving jaw that accompanied the opening of his mouth, "Was he this handsome last night?" Chantal asked herself while looking at Mateo's long eyelashes, thick brows, freckles, and high bridge nose.
"Fill me—up?" Chantal asked when she came back from her awe.
"Yep! That's right fill you up. I'm just wondering why I have to do that?"
Chantal's brows met when Mateo leaned towards her and their faces were inches away, "When I already did that last night."
Chantal's face was red and started to feel irritated, "You!"
"You were the one who provoked me last night! You probably put something in my wine! You have no shame!"
Mateo chuckled and looked at Chantal's lingerie, "I didn't do anything. You were the one who started to beg me for that."
Mateo walked towards Chantal until Chantal couldn't walk another step more and realized she was pinned on the wall.
"Fuck!" Chantal shouted from the back of her head.
Mateo held the lingerie blazer and flashed his deadliest smirk, "Aren't you trying to provoke me again?"
