Dan is really looking forward to how this situation is going to unfold. His whole life Dan always wanted to leave this place and see what is out there.. on the other side. He is not the only one though, Cauli just asked the same thing..
Cauli have some kind of Information that those othersiders need and Cauli is asking for More Power and Freedom in return. Now the Only question is What is going to be Elena's answer..
Dan didn't have to wait long as Elena's smirk reappeared. But Dan didn't like that devilishly charming smile.
"Elena: You know, I really pity you guys. For centuries you have been living in this place, with only a hope to leave this place someday. I hate to say it, But I don't think you are qualified enough to leave this place. I can agree to your other condition though. I can even give you the position of a Settlement supervisor. What do you say?" Elena said while smiling.
Cauli suppressed his inner turmoil and said in a demanding voice, "Cauli: No, My lady. I think I am more than qualified enough. You haven't seen that place, you don't know how Valuable it is. And I am the only one who can take you there My Lady. You don't have a CHOICE."
Hearing that demand Elena laughed a little and spoke, "Elena: I really appreciated your help Mr. Cauli. Thanks to your help those bastards from my rival Factions will now take my words seriously. You resolved a headache for me, But I think I have another CHOICE. You see, Sir Clome here is an Evoker and His special Ability is pretty Interesting. Sir Clome will explain you from here."
As if waiting for this moment Sir Clome came forward and pleasantly spoke, "Clome: Thank you My Lady. I will not disappoint you. Now Mr. Cauli, I will give you one last chance to hand over the location of that place. If not I will have to use my Special ability."
Cauli started laughing histerically hearing those words and replied "Cauli: Do you think, I didn't see that coming. I was sure, you will do something like this. Go ahead, Try Your Worst."
Sir Clome chuckled slightly and spoke again, "Clome: I am glad you didn't take my offer Mr. Cauli. I really like breaking a person's foolish Bravado. I am sorry but this is going to hurt you so much."
As soon as Clome finished his words, Sir Alex moved and apprehended Cauli. He tied Cauli to a wooden torture chair and stepped back.
Clome stood infront of Cauli and pointed his Index finger towards him. An ominous looking greyish wisp of flame appeared floating above his finger tip. Cauli started Flailing looking at that flame, but Clome's next words stopped him.
"Clome: Before we start, I will tell you a little about my Special ability. It is a very rare Ability called scorching truth. First, I will ask you a question and send this tiny flame inside your body. After that you will feel excruciating Burning sensation all over your body. That unbearable sensation will continue to grow more and more and more. It will only stop when you Answer the question I asked truthfully. Don't worry Though, It will not damage your body or mind in any way. So you will not die or faint the whole time. Are you ready?"
"Cauli: I am not afraid. I was prepared for this kind of situation the moment I joined hands with you Othersiders. Your flimsy deceptions will not work on me." Cauli stated with confidence.
"Hahaha.. as you wish. I am looking forward to see how long you can last" Sir Clome laughed a little and sent the wisp of flame inside Cauli's body. Although Dan is watching all this Inside his room, a chill ran down his spine. He witnessed Cauli's Agonizing screams through Nanites. But those screams didn't last long..
Barely 3 Minutes passed before Cauli gave up. With words mixed with screams Cauli spilled everything. The moment Cauli answered Clome's question, that unbearable sensation stopped. As if he woke up from a nightmare.. as if nothing happened to begin with, that sensation disappeared. But, The nightmare is not over just yet..
Cauli with a lifeless expression gazed at the roof of the underground cellar. After escaping from that Pain, He realized, he just gave up on the only leverage he had on his dreams and his life. He now lost all hope...
Elena stood up and approached Cauli. She wasn't smiling anymore and only coldness could be seen from her eyes. Her words destroyed whatever hope Cauli had left..
"Elena: If you had just answered everything as we agreed, you would not be in this situation. I would have really given you a position and power, but now I don't trust you anymore. Too bad You could have been a great pawn But; I don't like to keep any kind of loose ends. Kora give him a clean end." With those words Elena sealed Cauli's fate.
The Burly guy who stood silently all this time behind Elena finally moved. He approached Cauli and put his hand on Cauli's chest. A lucid brown Aura covered kora's hand and a tremor ran through Cauli's body. Cauli's didn't even notice when his heart stopped.
"Dan: Qualified enough? What kind of qualifications do I need to leave this place? Although I don't know that prisoner.. I can somehow understand his longing." Dan said looking at the lifeless eyes of Cauli.
"Legacy: It was expected. He knew a lot of Elena's secrets. There is no way He will be spared after going against her." Legacy replied.
Giving orders, Elena left the room. Sir Clome, sir Alex soon followed after her, leaving only the Burly guy named Kora and Cauli inside the underground cellar. Dan also ordered Nanites to follow after Elena.
Through the Nanites Dan could see Elena enter a brightly lit room. The room have all kinds of expensive looking furnitures and antiquities giving it a rather Luxurious feeling. Thanks to Nanites Dan could see everything happening inside this room perfectly.
Sitting on a luxurious couch Elena took a sip from her glass. Sir Alex and Clome sat on the opposite side facing her. Enjoying the after taste of her wine Elena praised,
"Elena: I appreciate your help Sir Clome. Without your help this whole thing wouldn't have been so easy."
"Clome: It is my great honour, Lady Elena. Now that we have the Location, we can proceed with our plans with out any further problems." Stated Clome smiling a little.
"Elena: Yeah It's already been a month since I came to this place, I don't want to delay this matter any longer. Oh! Another thing, Today a guy named Dan caught my interest, Sir Clome I want you to Investigate him." Elena said looking at sir Clome.
"Clome: A Guy? Caught your Interest?.... Oh Great Lord of Love! Finally, Lady Elena decided on a partner. Please grant them your eternal blessings. May they will live happily ever after." Sir Clome prayed like a grandpa raising his hands towards the sky.
Hearing his words Elena Flared up and rebuked in embarrassment "Elena: It is not like that, Uncle Clome. I am not interested in him that way. Earlier Today that guy named Dan performed a weird move unlike anything. It seemed like some kind of Martial arts technique but I am not sure. When I asked him about it, He answered, It just Happened on its own. How Absurd. A 3rd Transformation Weakling like him was able to divert a move from me using that technique. Sir Alex was there as well. He also witnessed it."
"Alex: Yes. As Lady Elena said that move was far too advanced to be considered just an accident. But that guy also said He never practised any kind of Martial Arts Before. When he said that, I didn't sense a hint of Hessistation from him. Either he is really telling the truth or He is one heck of an Actor." Sir Alex stated confidently.
"Elena: Yeah. He could be a hidden Blade from my rival Factions or maybe even from other Houses. That's why Sir Clome, I want you to Investigate him." Elena stated her concern.
Clome remained silent for few seconds. After putting together his thoughts he answered in a amused tone, "Clome: Lady Elena, I think that guy named Dan might be telling the truth. He might have done that move accidentally."
"Elena: What? And Why do you think that?" Elena asked in confusion.
"Clome: Because, there is no point. First, Why anyone will ever hire a weakling to assassinate a person of your level. Second, If he really is an assassin, what kind of idiot reveals his skills Infront of his target. So He might be telling the truth, My Lady.
"Elena: Then, How do you Explain that Fluent move of his. You don't think that's just a coincidence right." Elena asked with confidence.
"Clome: No, My Lady. There's no such thing as Coincidence. But he might have done that move Instinctively. I think he had a early eruption of his special Ability. A very very unique one at that." Sir Clome said with a slight smirk.
"Alex: stop building up suspence Clome. Tell us about that Special Ability."
Sir Clome smiled and answered, "Clome: The Ability I am talking about is... *ULTRA INSTINCT*"
Dan watched all this with a stupefied expression. Although he learned about a lot of Elena's scheme, but thanks to a certain someone he got dragged into a conclusion out of his expectations. But he is glad, A very kind person just created a perfect Conclusion for him.
As they say... It is more FUN to arrive a Conclusion than to JUSTIFY It.
