Theodore could sense that the witch was using dark magic, and one direct look into those deceitful eyes could be the downfall of any man, but he was not an ordinary man.
"What are you up to, Elkana?"
"Nothing. I promise."
In that moment, while she tried to distract the king with her movements and her words, she perfected her devious plan, which she had long come up with.
"But why won't your majesty even look at me?" She said with a disappointed tone.
He tried to make an attempt to move, but he was stuck to the spot. His eyes shifted to his legs, then back to Elkana without meeting her gaze.
Elkana finally took a step away from the king. A haphazard laugh boomed out of her mouth, already feeling victorious. She waited for a moment to confirm if Theodore could really not move from his spot.
"I have waited too long." She hissed. "Didn't think you would actually come and fall into my trap."
