Vanessa hurried outside the castle building to find Ralph and two other maids already making their way into the carriage.
"His majesty asks that I come with you to the market." She informed, her eyes shifting momentarily to look at the space left in the carriage, which will only fit one other person.
"Alright, get in." He ordered.
She raised a brow in question. "Where would you—"
"Are you getting in or not?" He interrupted her, and she stared at his ever-neutral face, wondering which was better, the king or this man here. 'At least he wasn't annoying and self-centered like the king.'
"Right." She got into the carriage, mumbling to herself, "That was easy."
The girl offered a smile to the two maids inside, and they both forced one back. The carriage door closed, and Ralph went to sit in front of the carriage along with the coachman.
