Chapter 14.
Angela has a dream where she's tied to a tree surrounded by blue water, she looks down at the water but she sees a different person as her reflection, a more powerful and stronger female that looks like her, but she could swear it wasn't her. Her reflection looked more lively, happy , chubby and refreshed. She paused for a second to notice if anything would happen to her reflection, but it was still there staring right in the face. Angela became even more scared, because she had never seen such a thing before. How can a reflection or shadow be more healthier than the person who owns the reflection?
" What the hell is this place and how did I get here? " her voice echoes as she speaks. Angela soon realized that she was in an unknown place. She looks round to analyze the surrounding .
This was certainly a deep forest like place, where no one could ever think of coming to, it was like a place of no return. There were huge trees surrounding the place where Angela was tied, her own tree, where she was hanging from was centered in the middle. The sounds of chirping birds filled the air and the dead silence that soon over took the forest after the birds were done chirping. The blue waters had a very enticing smell, and could actually draw someone into giving a good swim in the blue waters , which was so deep and could drown one because of the tension of the blue waters. The blue waters wave troubled, making an unpleasant sound. It was in need of a soul .
Angela looks round about herself, to find out that the tree where she was being tied wasn't so pleasant, and also the tree grew in the middle of the blue waters. The blue waters made her scared. She was a werewolf, and didn't know how to swim. And what if she tries to escape by using her claws to cut the rope which nailed her to the tree in a straight like form, she certainly would drown and no one would even know that she was cold dead down in the deep blue waters. She needed to find a way out of here but didn't know how to escape.
" Help! Somebody help! " She yelled out with every strength she had, hoping for a miracle man or woman to appear from nowhere and rescue her from the sudden danger she had found herself. She missed home and wanted to go back home to her friends and mother.
" Oh God! Please don't let me die here ." She sobbed still struggling on how to escape as tears run down her eyes like a flowing tap without control.
" Help please! Somebody, anybody? " Angela quietly sobs. She thought she was running mad, or maybe she had been kidnapped because she didn't know how the hell she seemed to have gotten to the deep empty forest. She soon lost hope of ever finding help. Maybe this was the end of it all, maybe the moon goddess had seen her tears and decided to make her death less painful.
Then, a chilling breeze teased her skin and she shivered, a feminine voice startled her. Angela Shrek's in fear and then starts searching around with her eyeballs, looking round everything that surrounded her, but she doesn't see anyone, she feels a touch on her shoulder and she couldn't help but scream but there was no sound coming out of her lungs, she was freaking out. What was going on, she was able to hear her voice echoing few seconds ago but now she couldn't hear a sound when she screamed.
" Please don't kill me! I plead with you." Angela's eyes looked round still very scared . Her heart pounded faster.
" Please Angela, do not be scared, I can't hurt you." An invisible feminine voice breezed out gently.
" Then show your face, let me see you!" Angela blurts out in fear. Her chest was pounding.
" I'm so sorry that you can't see me now but I mean no harm towards you honestly." The invisible feminine voice gently spoke again.
" Show me your face then and I'll believe you." Angela hopelessly blurted out. She wanted to seem not scared at all but it was a pure charade.
The feminine voice could sense fear and tension in the tone of Angela, and decided to calm her down again, still letting her know that she wasn't going to hurt her.
" Please be calm Angela, I'm not here to hurt you, if not I would have done that since the time you were here and you can only see me Once I'm risen." The feminine voice gently spoke reassuring Angela again.
" Risen" Angela thought to herself.
What did the invisible feminine voice mean by her words? Was she dead or was she joking with me and would soon come out from where she was hiding in this forest? She thought further.
And so, Angela couldn't help but continue to ask the feminine voice more questions, she needed an answer and was going to get it from the invisible feminine voice. Angela had made up her mind to find a way out of the deep forest and she must achieve that.
" I'm confused, ( She pauses for a bit to guess where the invisible voice could be coming from). Please what are you? I mean who are you and what do you mean by I can only see you once you are risen?"
Angela continues to questions the feminine voice on what she means by risen. She herself was still perturbed to what she was doing here or how she managed to get tied up to a tree in this horrible place. Last she could remember she was with her mother.
" Well, time will tell Angela and when the time comes your questions would be answered." The feminine voice gently echoes.
If there was one thing Angela despised, it was the fact that she didn't like suspense at all or enjoyed when Someone her on suspense. She wishes she wasn't tied to this tree, or surrounded by the blue waters, so she could search for the strange feminine voice that seemed to have been making her heart pound so fast because she was still scared, to know where it was coming from.
Angela wasn't ready to back down as she spoke to the feminine voice again, to clear her curiosity and know who it was, where or what it was that spoke to her .
"Please, help me understand what you mean by when you are risen, I….
Before Angela could finish her last sentence the feminine voice interrupts her.
" Patience holds the key to unlock several unanswered questions. Be patient child, soon you would know everything."
The feminine voice slowly faded out leaving Angela to ponder on what the voice had said and what it meant.
The feminine voice had spoken few words to her and some were in parables, but there was a lot of meanings from them which she was yet to understand. She gave a glance at the blue waters and still saw her reflection, staring back at her, which was still looking more powerful and stronger than herself.
Tears dropped from her eyes because everything was looking like a crazy puzzle to her. Firstly, how was she brought in here? Or how did someone manage to tie her to the tree?
" Help me please.." her voice grew weak as the tears soon clouded her voice preventing her from shouting.
As she was still thinking about the conversation and how she found herself in this strange place tied to a tree and surrounded by blue waters, she suddenly feels a soft sensation brushing on her hands and suddenly she wakes up.
"So it was all a dream." Angela thought to herself . She was quite amazed at the fact that all this while, she was tied up to a tree, surrounded by blue waters, having a strange encounter or conversation with the feminine voice was all just a nightmare.
" It felt so real" She muttered quietly, blinking her eyes twice to be sure.
" Once I'm risen you would know everything." Those were the words still ringing in her head. She was still trying to figure out the meaning of what the feminine voice had told her in the dream.
After so much thought of what could be the answer to her questions, she lost hope in ever finding the true answer. But she was grateful she had left that horrible place.
" It was just a dream." She said.
Angela found herself resting in the bosoms of her mum, Becca. She looks up to steal a glance at her mum, who was still rubbing her hands, while staring at the continuous beeping of the heart rate machine.
" Becca." Angela slightly calls her mothers name to let her know that she was now awake. Although she felt a bit weak, but was very aware of her surrounding.
Becca is so relieved that her only daughter is alive. she hugs Angela tightly, kissing her cheeks and forehead like she had won a Werewolf competition. She tells her how she almost lost her and thought she would never wake up, Angela is confused and asks her how long she has been asleep.
" A week my love! You have been asleep for a whole 7 days." Becca replies immediately.
" What! A week ?" Angela blurts out in shock. She didn't seem to believe that the fight could have made her go so unconscious for 7 whole days, which means she must have been tied to that tree unconscious for days before she got conscious of what was going on and finally woke up.
" Yes! Angela. I thought you wouldn't wake up because your heart stopped beating at a time." Angela's mum replied. Becca began to look for the right words to apologize to her daughter, she hated the fact that she had encouraged her only daughter to fight her.
" What happened to me ?" Angela asked her mum to know why she was asleep for a week. Her inquisitive self could never hide whenever she was in need of answers to a question, now sitting up to face her mother, looking her in the eye.
Becca gazed at her daughters beautiful face, she had suddenly forgotten how big of a lady her daughter had grown into. Sure she was still slender and looking tired due to the suffering she had gone through, but she was still so beautiful and her eyes glowed and looked pitiful.
Becca began to feel guilty for pressuring her daughter to fight. She was still fragile, after everything she had been through in the hands of Leo miller .
" Angela, I'm deeply sorry, I shouldn't have forced you to fight."
"I know it was so absurd and sudden for me to do so and I'm deeply sorry, I even abandoned you in the forest I was just preparing you for the future I'm really sorry dear" Becca eyes started to tear up as she spoke to her only daughter, she just couldn't believe she could do something like that, her protective instinct had taken control of her motherly instinct and now she regretted it.
Her conscience continued to prick her so bad that no matter how many times she apologized to her daughter, she still felt there was a need to apologize more. What if Angela had died from the fight, what would she have done? Several thoughts trailed Becca's mind .
Angela felt sorry and didn't want her mum worrying over her. She knew her mother was still feeling guilty about the fight they both had, but she had forgiven her and would like to continue the fight.
"Its okay mum, I would want to continue the fight." She forced out a smile, to calm her mum's nerves and to stop her mother from crying.
While Angela was still deep in an emotional discussion with her mum, someone rushes into the ward room where Angela was and screams her name in shock.
" Angela!! You are awake."
