"DIE" Kiegu screamed as the tree was felled by his charge. Adrian fell from the branches of the tree as he lost his footing. He quickly caught himself with animate plants using another branch to carry himself to his next nest as he threw berry bombs below him.
It was currently a cat and mouse game between Adrian and Kiegu with Adrian quite frankly on the losing end. Adrian was moving from tree to tree and Kiegu was chasing after him chopping them down as he got closer to Adrian. Using branches Adrian quickly wrapped up Kiegu as he heard a shout from afar.
"MASTER!"
He saw Gabbie and Goblette running towards him at full speed coming to assist him. He took a quick glance at the battlefield and saw that a majority of the thugs had already been killed and the stragglers were currently being cleaned up by the goblins.
He let out a sigh of relief at this before he once again focused on Kiegu, once this Orc was finished the fight would be over. "Stay out of range of his axe, just harass him."
The two slowed down as they approached and began to circle him not nearing his axe. They did not have long ranged weapons, only their spears which if they used would put them in danger of being attacked.
Kiegu however was already in a frenzy so he could not think coherently and was attacking the nearest thing he saw. He started to chase Goblette who led him in a circle around the tree Adrian was on.
Adrian began to wrap up Kiegu with branches to slow him down. Slicing at the branches Kiegu continued to chase Goblette. He sliced sideways with his axe chopping the tree Adrian was standing on.
"Get rid of his axe! Throw your spears at his hand and I will grab the axe!" Adrian said as he pulled himself to the next tree.
Goblette turned on her wolf as she chucked her spear backwards at Kiegu, he easily swiped it away however and continued to run. Gabbie, who was waiting on the side, used this moment to charge forward on her wolf, her spear stabbing forward.
"GABBIE WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Adrian yelled as she recklessly charged in.
"Getting the job done!" She smiled as her spear stabbed through Kiegu's hand causing him to turn sideways and punch her in the ribs with his other hand sending her flying off of her wolf. Adrian didn't let this opportunity go to waste as he grabbed the axe that now fell out of Kiegu's hand with a branch and dragged it into the trees.
Now that Kiegu was disarmed he was no longer a lethal threat. The other goblins who had finished cleaning up the battlefield arrived at this time and surrounded Kiegu as they took turns attacking his rear, darting in and out.
Slowly they whittled him down as Kiegu took his last breath, a spear impaled into his chest. "Stupid Goblins!" he said as he fell over.
Adrian was exhausted from the fight and came down from the tree he was in. He felt a headache coming as the depletion of his mana was taking a toll on him. "Let's drag all the corpses back to the dungeon"
"Bring Goggu back as well, we will give him a dungeon burial." Adrian said, looking at the goblin who had died.
"Master, we made sure to keep one of them alive, so we can get information," Gobble said as he brought over a man who had been restrained.
"Good! Interrogate him, I want to know why they came here" Adrian said as anger began to fill his face. He was being targeted for no reason so he had a right to be furious.
Gobble began to interrogate the man and got the information he needed fairly quickly. He explained to Adrian that they were all a part of the lightning gang and that the leader of their gang was after his territory and wanted to take it over.
"Lightning Gang again!" He recognized the man from earlier as being a part of the lightning gang but didn't think that they were coming here specifically for him and his territory!
"We need to prepare for war, mourning will have to wait for later. We don't know how long it will be until they come back. Start setting up our defenses!" Adrian said
The man stated that there were around 150 members in the lightning gang and they had just killed 15 of them. The boss would surely not be happy and when they came back a mere 15 would not be all there was.
They brought back the corpses to the dungeon and fed them all to the dungeon for DP. All the weapons and items were eaten by the dungeon as well along with the man they interrogated.
Adrian checked his dungeon stats as he began to allocate DP to defending his town. It would be much harder as these people were not attacking his Dungeon but his town so it was a completely different form of defense.

He had quite a lot of DP remaining from what he had saved for emergencies plus what he had just made from the thugs he killed. And it was a good thing he did because he was now feeling the pressure of a great enemy! He estimated that the leader of the gang was at the peak of 1 star if not already 2 star combat power based on how strong Kiegu was.
