Chapter 7 - chapter 7

Its been one and a half years since Merlin has been teaching Sirius magecraft. The last six months were used as practical as Sirius went out and played the role of a roaming knight, getting rid of bandits ,helping with construction and other tasks.

In a tavern absolutely filled with people was a white haired half incubus who was currently in the process of trying to get into a woman's pants. "You are just lovely Lady Henriette! There's no other woman I would rather be with than you!"

"Oh why thank you Sir Merlin, you are dashing yourself! Say....my father will be having a party late tonight why don't you come so we can get to 'know' one another better." She said seductively.

"Thank you. I will be sure to see you there."

After the young woman left Merlin went back to drinking whatever he was before. Then a red robed man dressed eerily similar to Merlin sat next to him. He had a red robe that looked identical if not for the coloring and black pants and shoes. On his hip, covered by the robe, Was a sword with white sheath that had red on the end and mouth. The sword had a red grip and cross guard.

"Still digging your deep grave I see." No one was alerted to this man. Not the people sitting at the tables behind, not the people sitting in the stools next to him, hell not even the bartender knew he was there.

"You know....You would be an excellent killer my dear student." Then the man lifted his hood showing a adolescents face, only reason he could pass for man with the hood down was he was 180 centimeters.

"Just saying that, if it weren't for the fact you taught me in-depth magic I would cut you where you stand."

Merlin waved his hand in annoyance at being reminded for the umpteenth time. "Yeah yeah save me the spiel. I'm sending you off to the hut that Artoria is staying at with her adoptive family."

"Sir Ector and Kay?"

"Yeah those two. You'll be heading out today, right now in fact." Merlin said when he opened a window and saw the position of the sun.

"Ok, just let me grab my things from your tower and I'll be on my way. You don't have to show me the way either, I know where Sir Ector lives." Then, with the bounded field still up, he pulled his hood up and left the tavern to gather what little belongings he had.

Merlin shook his head as he left. "Kids these days just don't know how to show gratitude." The he chuckled. "Show me Sirius Wilhelm, show me if you will break fate or if fate will break you..."

In front of a nice cottage with a stable and farm stood Sirius. He was honestly nervous, if he was being honest. The knight that owns this place is renown throughout the land and not to mention that the previous king, Uther Pendragons daughter was also living here.

'No pressure. I mean I've been able to conversate with Vivian and Merlin all these years and one them is akin to a nature god, the other is a magnus who can look into the future.'

Then he knocked and waited patiently. Who appeared was a 'boy' with golden hair tied in a bun wearing a leather tunic. 'Whelp, guess we're meeting the future big players right off the bat...'

"Nice to meet you, I am Sirius Wilhelm. I am looking for Sir Ector. Can you call him for me?" The 'boy' nodded and dashed off for the man in question.

When 'he' returned a man standing over 200 centimeters tall that had a body jam packed with muscle, Sirius was a little intimidated by the fellow. "Are you that lad that Merlin spoke of?"

Sirius nodded and Ector led him inside to a table where they sat down to talk. "So you've come to serve Britain?"

"I've come to serve the future king of Britain, or queen in this case, as an advisor along side Merlin. I've just been sent a little early so as to build a trusting relationship with her." Sirius responded.

"I see..." Ector muttered as he caressed his greying beard in thought. "How about you duel my son to see where you stand as a knight and mage. Merlin told me you knew how to use a sword and magic."

Sirius nodded and left with Ector to the sparring ring while Artoria went to grab Kay.

When she got back, Sirius was swinging about a normal sword, nothing fancy. 'So that's the apprentice of Merlin and adoptive brother of The Lady of The Lake. He does have a weird feeling about him that's for sure....'

Artoria was in thought when Kay, her adoptive brother, and Sirius squared off in the ring, swords at the ready. Kay looked at Sirius sword in doubt and questioned him just before the spar. "I thought you used a sword crafted by The Lady of The Lake? The one that is called Arcane?"

Sirius shook his head. "If I use that during a friendly spar then you can say goodbye to your life and about eight kilometers of farmland behind you."

"...You underestimate me-"

"I don't." Sirius interrupted with the shake of his head. "It's just you are a trained 'knight', you do not know the art of magecraft so you can't counteract that specific sword, it is a divine construct after all." If he was to travel with this man in the future then it was better to build a strong trust between the two.

"....Alright. Father I'm ready." Then Ector looked at Sirius, who gave him his approval as well. Then they charged one another both going for a overhead swing, to which Kay one in the battle of strength. However Sirius used that momentum to flip back, planting his hand on the ground and stabbing rock spears at Kay who defended with his shield.

Then Sirius ignited his magic circuits, reinforcing his borrowed sword and physical attributes. When he dashed forward the vacuum that was created via movement was not subtle.

BOOM!

Kay was launched into the air even though he defended with his shield to limit the amount of force to his body. Sirius didn't stop however, and launched himself into the air with the earth to slash at Kay while he was undefended, which worked.

"Ugh!" Kay felt a pain from his right shoulder to his left waist. The cut however was shallow and only a trickle of blood was seen from the cut. When Kay landed he was greeted by Sirius slowly falling like he was a feather.

"How are you not dropping like a log right now?" Kay couldn't understand, even if you told him magic.

Sirius looked at him and stated. "I am lowering my weight temporarily and increasing my air resistance, though it eats up my mana like ants eat food." Then Sirius turned toward Ector. "Good, right?" Ector nodded and Sirius turned to Artoria giving her the greeting that would mark a great friendship.

"Sup, name is Sirius Wilhelm." This was the first true meeting between one that would be the tragic king of Britain and the lost boy who would go on to challenge fate itself. This was the meeting between the future legendary 'king' Arthur and Knight of Mystery, Magus of Secrets, Sirius du Lac Wilhelm.
