In a world where he was summoned by mistake along with the Hero, he was angry at the people who has summoned him. He wanted to avoid fighting and live a peaceful life and thus he asked those people to send him back. Even if it was not possible to send him back, he at least deserved a peaceful life here. But Instead, he was ordered to become a servant or serve as a soldier in thier army.
They offered him the lowest of the low position after seeing that he had no [ Class]. Even that was not enough as those people ordered an assassination when he left the palace. He was angry and determined to take revenge.
However because of his powerlessness and because of a person like Bushche who at least tried to be nice to him. He gave up on that revenge a long time ago and wanted to start a new life here while getting stronger so that he would not be forced into anything ever.
He left Bushche's mansion because that person, no matter whether or not was a benefactor to him, was also an ally of the imperial family. Dave didn't want the pity of someone related to the people, who had caused him the trouble, to begin with.
He met Oscar, a man who allied himself with Dave for the sake of earning profits, and recently met people who could have become his friends. But now, Despite having the option to run away and live his own life, he chose to fight.
Fight for people who were strangers to him, for people who don't even know him properly. He was going to save those arrogant kids who ordered him to kill him, he did know the reason until he remembered the words of a certain person.
He had told him that, He saved him because his faith would never allow him to abandon someone who needed his help and when only he was able to help.
These words of Bushche, resonated with his ideals as well, Dave would help anyone who needed thier help. Just because he knew that he was capable of saving them, he felt reluctant to abandon them.
Those kids may have been arrogant but they are still kids, being naive and arrogant is not a sin.
Dave now, understood why they acted the way they did back in the capital. They needed as many people as possible to help them survive against the people who were after them. He also understood one thing, when someone is driven into a corner they would do anything to save themselves.

Dave was about to reach the town square, where he last saw those kids. While running he saw that the streets of the town were empty, and houses were burning, people had already escaped to a safer place. Still, he explored the area carefully for any clues as to where he can find those kids.
He was impressed by his physical capabilities as he continued to run at a speed that he never thought he was capable of achieving. In less than five minutes he reached the place near the town square while keeping an eye out for any possible threat.
He climbed on top of a building that gave him a clear view of the area. However, suddenly a fireball came toward him, and he saw that he was already spotted by an enemy. Luckily, Because of his defense stat, he survived the attack but his clothes were burning.
He quickly activated his [ Invisible shield] skill to defend himself. The person fired another shot of fireball at him but this time the attack missed and was blocked by the shield.
Dave took out a mana-replenishing potion and regained his almost exhausted mana. He jumped from one roof to other towards the enemy who was already calling for help from others. He saw three people wearing black hoods, the other two also fired the same fireball attack.
' Do they all have the same skill?' Dave wondered.
He took out a dagger and ran toward them, in just a matter of few seconds he closed the distance between them and himself. The three were caught in surprise but tried to defend themselves by engaging in hand-to-hand combat.
One of them delivered a spinning heel kick toward his head but the shield blocked it. The others also tried to attack but before they could do anything Dave punched one of them in the abdomen with all of his strength, which sent that man flying to the other end of the roof.

" Run! We have to tell the leader about him." One of them shouted as he decided to run after seeing what happened. Both of the remaining men ran in separate directions.
Dave threw the dagger that he had in his hand to attack one of them, which flew at a great speed and pierced right through the head. Seeing that the other person tried to run faster but Dave already caught up too fast. Grabbing him and then slamming him on the roof.
The man wasn't dead, he was still alive and unconscious just as Dave wanted.
" Tell me who are you people, and why are you attacking this town?" He questioned in a threatening tone of voice however the man had already bitten his tongue after sensing that there was no way out and was about to die.
Seeing that Dave didn't waste his time and broke the neck of that person to at least gain a unit of death energy.

These people weren't that strong for Dave whose every physical stat was around 4.
Even if these people are level 5 or even a level above they must have only received 1 stat after every level. Considering an average person starts level one at 1 unit then if they had distributed only 5 or 6 units their stats might not be as impressive as his.
" Skill activate [ Mark of Death]" Dave spoke, and once again felt a similar electrifying sensation spreading throughout his body. He quickly checked his stats, the energy randomly boosted three of his stats. Now his [Strength], [Speed], and [Defense] were at 5, and his [ Endurance] was at 4 units.
' I guess, this can also be the reason why I didn't run away.' A smile filled with excitement appeared on Dave's face upon realizing this.
