The Metal Spikes had mutilated his feet very badly and the flames were burning all the air inside. It was not wrong to say that Dave was in a very difficult situation right now. He activated the [ Invisible Shield] skill once again when he saw the cracks appearing because of the metal spikes.
Just how many times can these people use their skills, and what could be their level and stats? Dave had no idea and for the first time felt his confidence in fighting alone wavering. This time the invisible shield skill covered the ground below his feet as well, at first he thought he would not be able to move if he used the shield, below his feet but he did a little experiment.
Since he was able to shape the invisible shield however he wished. He imagined it covering every part of his body, the metal spikes were rising continuously from the ground and damaging him and the shield. However, he managed to endure the pain because of his stats even if he still felt a sharp pain.
After finding an opening he jumped out of the flame tornado but instead of getting out smoothly, once he touched the tides on the walls of the tornado he was thrown outside with a spin.
" He came out! Attack him." This time the flame user Blaze attacked with a fireball. Dave was lying on the ground after that terrific fall, the ground flared once again as the fireball blasted the area but due to the invisible shield it didn't burn.
However, unlike before Dave suffered serious damage because of the fall and after the shock of the wall. Iron drank the mana-replenishing potion and once again he was ready to start the barrage of spikes.
" I will not let you get me again!" Dave shouted as he gathered all of his strength and jumped onto the roof where the person responsible for the Iron spikes was standing.
Iron swung his heavy sword while Dave was coming towards him. However, he miscalculated, and the attack was missed because Dave had closed the distance with a terrifying speed. He punched straight through his stomach, Iron flew back but still managed to not die instantly.
He quickly raised an [Iron wall] once he saw that Dave was already coming for another attack. Dave stopped in his tracks and from behind a fireball attack came.
" Fine, if you want to die first then it's better," Dave spoke as he turned towards Blaze.
" Careful he is at least Level 10!" Iron shouted but his voice couldn't reach Blaze, he couldn't even breathe properly without feeling pain, shouting like that would mean hell.
Dave jumped from one roof to another and chased after Blaze who was running away.
" Enough running! Now die!" Dave spoke once he caught up with Blaze. He grabbed the back of his neck, and one of his hands, and then jumped up lifting Blaze with himself. The chase ended with Blaze being slammed into the hard ground.
" Still not dead!" Dave shouted as he kicked his enemy's head. With a kick, he pushed Blaze's head into the ground, again and again kicking until he received a notification.
[ You have gained 1 unit of Death Energy]
His body felt a throbbing pain, Dave had a deep wound on his feet and various internal energies because of being thrown out by that fire tornado and after suffering the shock of the fireball blast. He felt his feet hurt every time he moved but he endured it somehow.
But just as he was about to move toward where Iron was, he got another notification.
[ You have received an Item]
The shock didn't end there...because the next second something even more surprising happened!
[ The Item Flame Blesser is consumed by (???)]
" What the hell?" He shouted, " I received an item and then it was consumed by that weird item, I didn't even click the [Yes] option anywhere."
Dave was left confused by what happened and didn't even realize that the other enemy had escaped. Iron was nowhere to be seen and had escaped while Dave was busy with all of this.
' How did I receive an item? and Why was it consumed by that mysterious item?' Dave had too many questions but no time to spare thinking about the answers.
He found the trails of Iron escaping from the scene and followed at full speed. Soon he was able to spot him, Iron wasn't running very fast because he was hurt by the full force of Dave's punch before. He didn't even have his great sword with him that he was using before.
According to the direction where he was running Dave guessed where Iron was headed. Thanks to Emily who showed him around the town, he knew that Dave was running towards the government office in the town.
' Have they taken over that place? Seriously...The government office of all places? How?' Dave thought.
' Were the guards not strong enough to fight against these terrorists?' He wondered if he would be okay fighting against them, seeing no use in stealthily chasing after Iron he ran faster and quickly caught up with him.
He kicked iron on his back, making him fall forward.
" Please don't kill me!" He shouted when he turned to look at Dave.
" Why? Why shouldn't I kill you?" Dave spoke as he grabbed Iron by the color and looked directly into his eyes.
" I - I am an Elite member of the infamous Black Dawn Organization, if you hand me over to the Authorities, you will get a big monetary reward." Iron started to blabber the information that Dave had tried to get from other terrorists but was unsuccessful.
" Ok, if you answer me a few more questions then I will not kill you and hand you over to the Authorities," Dave smiled as he had finally found someone among this terrorist who cared more about his life than some sick loyalty to an evil organization.
