Chapter 5 - Darkness In Trials

As I woke, I noticed that shadow let me use him as a pillow, his fur Grey and black, surprisingly soft and smooth. I get to my feet, and stretch shadow walked beside me, saying, "so master I know where the elves are here." But there is a problem that will try to kill you as soon as they see you. Trust me when I say they will see you before you see them. Well, you heard the goddess I need there help to restore the balance of darkness and light. Shadow looks at me says so your going to be the goddesses future husband, and I look at the shadow puzzled by the question, and I see his wolf like mouth grinning. Yeah, I guess so. Are you against it? Shadow grins even more and says no. All monsters are born from the goddess of darkness, so she's like our mother. What I'm trying to figure out is whether I should call you master or papa shadow laughs. I spit out the water I was trying to drink and said, "Just call me master after I get enough to drink, we will start heading towards the elf village.

shadow leads the way as we travel through the thick forest. I hear the noises of all sorts of animals, birds, and creatures. As we get closer to the destination, it becomes silent, and shadows' hair raises up and says master we have trouble and growls viscously. As I saw him in light, he looked a lot scarier than he did last night. I hear big branches and bushes being and comes charging through was an earth bear. It stood on its hind legs and gave a loud ear piercing roar. The bear stood to be close to 10 feet in height and about 4 foot wide. I pull my dagger. In a hurry after it slams on all fours, I could feel the earth shake under my feet. I notice the stone plates all over its body trying to figure out a weakness.

Then, the earth bear charges forward with no fear what so ever. Shadow runs, then jumps on the side of a tree, then jumps off just quickly as he lands on the back, then bites the back of the earth bears neck. Shadows teeth sink in drawing out blood, but the bears neck is too thick for anything lethal. The bear stands again, twisting and turning hard roaring in pain while trying to shake off shadow. I make a quick decision to shoulder tackle and stab the bear at the same time, not really knowing what the outcome would be. As my shoulder comes into contact with Bear, it barely pushes him. Then, as I try to stab, the bear turns, and I hit stone hide. The earth bear swats me back and flies on my back like I was paper. As I sit up, I notice the earth bear has shadows hind legs in his mouth, and with one big twist, the earth bear threw shadow against a tree. I heard the yelp of pain as shadow slammed against the tree, nearly missing a branch that could've impaled him. I extend my right arm from the elbow to my fingertips cover in black purple flames and a purple flamed serpent. The serpent coiled around the earth bear while the earth bear swings its claws around as they pass through the flame. The serpent shows its fangs and then quickly strikes the earth bear between the neck and shoulder, bursting into a pillar of dark flames the bear roars in agony as it tries to charge at me.

Out of nowhere and arrow flies from behind the earth bear and hits where shadow bit the back of neck from and the arrow head slightly sticks out from the front of the neck bear drops in a flaming heap. An elf woman wearing a turquoise tunic and tan leather pants jumps into view. She had long silver hair side bangs braided and used to hold her ponytail. Her figure was perfect hourglass and her thighs were thick, and her chest was surprising, big and perky. She intensely looked at the flames covering the earth bear, and she gave me a piercing look. She walks over to me, but I'm so stunned by her beauty that I didn't notice that she swings her bow and knocks me out.

Shen then lifts me over her shoulder and carries me away. Shadow sees me being carried away as he gets up and starts to follow the elf girl from a safe distance. Rushes of memories of the horrible night run through my dreams as I see the soldiers and priests crucify my father over and over. The pound and screams of the nails being driven into him with each hammer blow. The king slitting his throat to make sure the deed is done, and I get stabbed and restarts again until I finally wake up in an unknown barred room. I get up to take a look around I call to shadow he responds I'm outside the elf village you were captured a taken into the village I'm glad your still alive I thought for sure you would be killed on sight just for being human. I may look human, but now I'm an apostle. I'm more of a demi god of vengeance. shadow then tells me that there is no way for him to get in the security is to tight in the village. So my only choice is to wait. I could melt the bars, but if I do that, it would make it harder for them to trust me. I don't even know if they're gonna listen to me.
