Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Matters

"Your Majesty, today's meeting went smoothly. The envoys who came from the country of Indonesia apparently suffered a calamity on their way to this continent so they lost communication with their country."

"Lost communication?"

"Yes Your Majesty, but it didn't take long for their fleet to reach the city of Bagaantulag and meet Admiral Pierot. There, they made a peace treaty and Admiral Pierot gave them information about this continent."

"Let's get to the conclusion Bauchis."

"Yes, Your Majesty. We have agreed to a trade co-operation between the Indonesian envoys and the Kingdom of Wachia. However, we will show the goods to Your Majesty before we discuss the price and the suitable goods to be traded with Robert, the owner of Le Campanie trading company."

"Good. Then, do you think the envoy is stronger than our troops?"

"Your Majesty?!"

"Give me your honest answer. Are they stronger than our Order of Knights?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. Without denigrating the strength of our troops, I think they are strong enough to break through and occupy the royal palace within a day."

"WHAT?! One day?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. I have thought about this carefully after hearing the words of Admiral Pierot who witnessed firsthand the show of force from the country's envoy."

"Is it really Pierot?"

"Yes, my father. They have magic weapons and iron dragons that can attack ground troops from a great distance."

"Magic guns? And iron dragons?"

"Yes, my father. Their warships are also made of iron which is very strong and sturdy."

"I see."

"One more thing Your Majesty. While on the way to the palace, I saw their iron dragons escorting our group in the air. It seems that they are putting complete protection on the envoy."

"It was the right choice for them. Being in a foreign kingdom must be very dangerous, let alone these envoys knowingly entering into the enemy's lair."

"That's how it was, until this afternoon. I still watched the flying dragons tour the palace before returning to their warships."

"Hmmm..."

"Your Majesty!"

"Yes Bauchis?"

"I actually wanted to get them to ally with us. However, after reading the agreement they handed over, any hope of an alliance with them was dashed."

"Well, you could say that allying with them is a good choice. But, can we give them something comparable to their favour?"

"No, Your Majesty."

" So be it."

"But, I hope that the trade transaction that will take place tomorrow will have a good result. A little technology from their country will definitely have a considerable impact on Your Majesty's kingdom."

"I hope so. Now take a rest, tomorrow we will meet with the envoy to discuss trade matters."

"Yes Your Majesty, I would like to take my leave."

"Me as well, Your Majesty."

After the meeting, King Bastian, Prime Minister Bauchis, and Prince Pierot returned to their respective rooms and rested. Meanwhile, Otto was seen sitting by the window. He looked like someone who was thinking about many things. Starting from the beginning when their ship was tossed around and suddenly moved to another world until now. The silence stopped when Otto's walkie talkie rang.

"Bzzt... bzzt... Laksdya? Report! This is Colonel Iwan! We found something suspicious on board!"

"This is Laksdya Otto. Continue."

"We would like to inform you that a purple crystal inside our ship functions like an energy source for our ship. When Lieutenant Colonel Seno was cleaning the bridge area of the ship. He accidentally nudged a purple crystal from a glass storage case. When the crystal fell, all electronics and equipment on the ship shut down instantly."

"Shut down?"

"Yes, sir. Somehow when the crystal was put into the glass, all the electronics came back on."

"Isn't this similar to the dungeon in those Japanese stories?"

"You mean anime, sir?"

"Yes, it is. In anime, the crystal is like the core of a dungeon. More or less, the dungeon crystal is like the engine of our ship."

"So, while the crystal is in the glass, the ship will keep moving?"

"Yes. By the way, where is the crystal located?"

"Above the ship's rudder, sir."

"Can it be moved to the CIC room?

"We will try, just a moment sir."

"OK."

Colonel Iwan and several officers immediately discussed how to move the glass crystal into the CIC room. They also included Lieutenant Colonel Seno who first came into contact with the crystal. Some of the officers suggested wearing a Hazmat suit and moving the crystal to the CIC room carefully. The rest thought it was too much although handling unfamiliar things should be done carefully.

In the end, everyone agreed that Lieutenant Colonel Seno would be the one to move the crystal. He would be equipped with Hazmat gloves as a precaution. He would also be escorted by 2 heavily armed officers as a further precaution. Prior to the move, all engines were switched off and the chiefs switched on flashlights to provide light. The route of the journey had also been secured.

After everything was ready, Lieutenant Colonel Seno brought the glass display containing the crystal and the three men immediately proceeded to the CIC room where CIC personnel were already on standby to receive the crystal. The atmosphere inside the ship was very tense, because they were all worried that the crystal would explode and sink the ship if given the wrong handling.

10 minutes passed, the crystal was placed in the centre of the CIC room. All crew members had returned to their respective positions. The ship's engine was switched on and checked to see if anything had changed. After the inspection was completed, the results were made into a report and reported to Admiral Otto.

"So that's it, wait a minute, can someone else also bring the crystal?"

"I think so, sir. But, if the crystal is taken outside the ship such as outside the Bridge room, the crystal will disappear slowly. Fortunately, the crystal will not disappear if it is in a glass."

"At least we can know the advantages and disadvantages of this crystal."

"Yes, sir."

"Notify the other ships immediately. And prepare a report for each ship immediately!"

"Yes, sir!"

Following the receipt of the report, Colonel Iwan as the Temporary 9th Fleet Leader immediately ordered the other ships to check and move the crystal glasses to the CIC room. For KRI Irian, it was the same, but the crystals were slightly larger than the others. Then, the results were put together into a report and notified to Otto. However, because it was late at night, Admiral Otto postponed the report until he returned.

The next day, the weather was very sunny with birds chirping here and there. A servant was walking towards someone's room, he was surprised that the person he was going to wake up had already woken up first, especially since he had prepared everything he was going to wear.

"Sir? You've woken up already."

"Yes, if I may know, where is the bathroom in the royal palace?"

"Oh, follow me."

"Okay."

The man was escorted by the servant to the royal bathrooms. There, Prince Pierot and King Bastian were already soaking in their morning bath. The servant simply opened the door for him and closed the door as soon as he entered. The man quickly prepared for his bath and entered the palace bathing pool.

"Good morning Admiral Otto."

"Good morning Your Majesty Bastian and Prince Pierot."

"What is the matter that I was invited here?"

" Nothing really, we just want to give the best welcome to the envoys of the neighbouring countries."

"Oh, I am very grateful for the hospitality Your Majesty has prepared for us."

"Admiral Otto."

"Yes? What is it Prince Pierot?"

"Well, actually our kingdom is in an unfortunate situation for us. Are you perhaps able to help us?"

"Not at the moment. According to our treaty, we will not attack anyone unless we are attacked first. However, I myself can at least provide assistance in the form of thoughts and strategies from our country."

"Is that so?"

"Of course."

"Butler! Bring me our military map!"

After the butler gave the map to Prince Pierot. He immediately explained the current situation in the disputed territory between the Wachia Kingdom's vassal, the Republic of Kolomih and the Kingdom of Asfelia. Currently, the Republic's Chem region was surrounded by the troops of the Kingdom of Asfelia. The comparison of combat power between the Republic's troops and the Kingdom of Asfelia is too large. The Kingdom of Wachia had 3,900 soldiers who were in the city of Pachacaria as reinforcements for the Republic forces. Meanwhile, 5,000 Republic troops were near the border to prevent any attacks from the troops of the Kingdom of Asfelia.

Based on intel reports from the Republic of Kolomih, there were at least 8,000 - 9,000 Asfelia Kingdom troops near the city of Chem. This was probably because the distance between the capital of the Kingdom of Asfelia and the Kolomih Republic was not too far. However, they were still not sure where their base was so they marked the enemy's possible location with a double rhombus shape. In the event of a direct attack, the Republic's forces would be quickly outnumbered before help from the Kingdom of Wachia arrived.

After several considerations and war simulations, Admiral Otto advised the Prince and King to make a massive attack on the Kingdom of Asfelia through its land and sea territories. However, due to the unstable political and economic situation of the Kingdom of Wachia, only a few regiments of troops were mobilised against the troops of the Kingdom of Asfelia. Therefore, Admiral Otto suggested preparing a few small regiments to invade Asfelia's territory, while some of his main troops were deployed to assist the Republic of Kolomih's troops. Meanwhile, they also predicted some enemy tactics that would come out in response to the Wachia Kingdom's initial invasion of the Asfelia Kingdom. Most likely, the troops of the Kingdom of Asfelia will invade the city of Chem and will attempt to return the territory controlled by the troops of the Kingdom of Wachia.
