I stepped away from the woman to call Ryan; he was the only one who could help me find my wife. I glanced back at the woman and there was something off about her but I couldn't point out what.
"Hello?" Ryan answered the call right away. He really is the friend in need to whom I can always turn for help.
"Peral is not here," I informed looking around the place, one last time to see if she would come from any room, but there was no one coming. My eyes landed on the fire alarm and the hanging wire.
"She left with her friend" Ryan replied bringing me back to him, I heaved a sigh, and looked back at the woman and she was still staring at me, making me want to go to her and ask her what her problem was.
"Text me where she is," I order disconnecting the call. This woman was making me believe she knew something, and there was something that had happened here.
