Chapter 18 - The Third Fight

I am not sitting in the waiting room healing. My body heals extremely fast for some reason, must be another perk of the energy I got.

After everything is healed Vanessa gave me perfume to apply. After I apply an excessive amount, my name gets called.

I walk out with a sword I got from the waiting room and my opponent stands in front of me.

Announcer- This is the second to last fight and the winner of the last two fights is SEER!!! The next opponent he faces is nonother than MARGRET BLOODETH!!!!

Many claps and cheers could be heard throughout the arena.

Announcer- IN 3 2 1 FIGHT!!!!

She dashes in with a spear and I use my sword to block it, as soon as the spear makes contact with my sword the sword breaks. My mother said that if your opponent is around the same level they can't break your sword unless it was chipped or broken, to begin with. She also said if someone far stronger than you hits your sword they could break it or easily disarm you.

So she purposely used more power than 20% to break my sword and disarm me, this might be the thing they are testing me on this time.

I have to fight her with my bare fists, my mother taught me martial arts but I don't practice them as much as the bow and the sword.

I dash in as fast as I can and go for a jab at her face, but she reacts with her spear and blocks with her spear handle.

I feint a punch to the stomach and kick her legs. She steps back, but my kick doesn't reach her, and she uses the space between us to start a one-sided assault.

I focus on dodging as many blows as possible, but some still connect.

I can feel the spear dig into my skin, all the small scrapes lightly burn as the air goes into the wounds.

This is nothing compared to having my body disintegrated and the pain of losing my parents.

All I have to do is stay focused and concentrate on dodging.

The funny part is this is kind of similar to the last fight.

The more space I make the bigger the advantage she has, but I also can't approach her recklessly.

This is a bad dilemma, do I try to force my way through or be patient and wait for a small gap and capitalize on it?

Well, you've heard the phrase nothing like the present.

So I prepare myself mentally and dash in. As soon as I get into her range a flurry of jabs and swings attack me. I dodge and weave as many of the strikes as I can. A small scratch appears on my cheek while rushing in. After I get into range I throw a punch at her face and she blocks with the handle again. So I feint an uppercut and go for a gut punch. The gut punch connects and she responds with a jab to my shoulder. The jab connects and it feels like something bite my arm.

I push through the spear jab and punch her in the face, next I kick her in the side of her stomach and she reacts by shielding her side with her spear.

I use this opportunity to punch her in the face one more time and as soon as she recovers I see blood circulate through her spear tip.

The blood shoots out in two concentrated streams that look like serpents. I jump back just in time to see the bloodstream slam into the place I was standing.

After it slams into the ground it goes after me, I see the blood serpents stream open their mouths and start approaching me at very high speeds.

I jump to the side to avoid the first one and the second head is about to slam into me on the opposite side.

I bend my body backward to do a backflip in the air to avoid the second serpent.

I then realize if I just take the controller out the serpents won't bother me anymore.

So I run up to Margret and use one of the only martial arts I learned Stems of the Protea, it is 8 consecutive punches 4 on each side of the chest.

That staggers her and makes it so she doesn't call off her serpents. They both combine to make one serpent and is rapidly rushing toward me.

Right before it hits me I jump up and Margret doesn't have any time to react and cancel the move.

I look at her surprised expression right before she gets hit, the next moment it hits her and she starts smirking.

"Ohh little boy did you forget that our blood can't affect us if we are the ones manipulating it".

I have to make the most of this and while falling I try to drop-kick her.

She responds by slashing at my stomach, I use my feet to barely push off the spear, but she now made some space between us.

I use the final martial art and use protea's stigma, which causes a very fast jab with the power of a spear or sword stab for a little distance away.

Luckily she couldn't block this one and there is now a gaping hole in the middle of her chest.

She finally conceded and then went back to the waiting room with the other 3 heads.

(Inside the waiting room with the 4 heads)

Margret- "I think we should let him into Vanessa's household even if he is a human. His fighting prowess is really good and he could be a great ally in the future. We just need to treat him with kindness and make value people and places here so he will help us when the time comes."

Vereth Batcock- You do bring up a good point it would be nice for him to be on our side in case they do decide to war with us. Since he lost his parents we could all treat him like one of our children and that could cause him to like us more.

Evan- Wow you had a good idea this time. I agree but he seems pretty observant so we should also make sure to at least genuinely care for him, at least a little bit.

Elisa- Well even if he doesn't win the fight against me he proved to do better than most of our 30-50-year-old vampires. I say we should be nice to him so the head doesn't have a reason to be made or go against us. I think I would enjoy teaching him, his blood smelled so intoxicating even with all the perfume he lathered on I can still smell it. I was really starting to lose my mind, which is not a great thing just imagine if he went out of this place and we couldn't keep track of him. His blood could potentially start wars. Many people would also do anything for a drop of blood. This could lead to the downfall of our race.
