I prepare a sword stance and get ready for the countdown.
Announcer: 3, 2,1 GOO!!!!!
Elisa forms a chain made of blood and the chain goes for my legs. I jump up and the chain hits the floor and ricochets toward my chest. I parry it with my sword and it bounces off my sword when I parry it. She retracts the chain and dashes at me, she uses the chain like a sword, she slashes and uses the ricochet of the chain to gain momentum and uses the speed it gained from the ricochet to attack me even more and give me less breathing room.
She then summons multiple chains, and they all rush toward me.
I react as fast as I can, I deflect all of the chains, and then she manipulates them to swing back at me.
All the chains are moving extremally erratically, there is no set course they go on because they constantly bounce off each other or the ground, added to the fact that she is manipulating the blood chains.
I try to approach her but every time the chains block my way, I can't get that close to her and every time I get closer the chains restrict my music by pushing me backward.
After several attempts, I get close to her and strike at her, the blade connects, with another chain she just created and it dissolves I jump away because at that moment chains came raining down and they all pierced the ground where I was standing.
The crowd is yelling and screaming I feel the beads of sweat roll down my face and body.
I push through the chains one more time and go in for a punch the next moment she punches me in the face and my body gets pushed halfway across the arena.
I get up and immediately have to dodge multiple chains, I dance around the arena dodging the chains and buying time for me to think of a way to win this fight.
After a couple of minutes of experimenting, I found out the spacing of the chains and how to calculate where they will go.
I start to consistently close the gap and start to slowly start to make some scratches on her. I am starting to get the timing and the rhythm down, it is ever-changing because it all depends on how much momentum they build but I am learning.
Blood flies everywhere whenever I destroy the chain, so I have to make sure as little as possible gets on me.
I don't want her manipulating me because of the blood that was on me.
I use the footwork technique my mom taught me to dodge the chains coming at me when running toward her at very high speeds.
She also wraps her chains around her hand and starts throwing fists and kicks at me when I entered her hit range.
I try to fight her at close range but her battle experience is far better, she feints a right jab and launches a chain at me, and while I am dodging it she lands a firm punch right at my core and I stumble back regaining my composure.
As soon as I regain my composure I dive out of the way of the chains aiming for my head. My body is aching from this fight. I feel light I am being put in my place during this fight.
I don't want to disappoint Vanessa. I want to prove that I am worthy of having her last name. I need to fight for the last name I don't want to lose her too. I don't know what would happen if I lost her.
She is my only support right now, If I lose her how far would I fall?
I pick myself up with new determination and I look through my memories and I find a perfect sword technique my mother taught me, it is a special way you unsheathe your sword. You unsheathe your sword so fast that it is practically an invisible slash.
I approach her yet again with flames in my eyes.
The chains approach and I dodge them with ease, I slowly close the gap and I start slashing at her.
She keeps on jumping back and side-stepping and eventually I push her against a wall.
As soon as her back hits the wall I use the technique I remembered. I get into a stance where my dominant foot is in front and I bend down and lean forward, I then whisper to myself "The Protea Stems". At that exact moment, I pull out my sword as fast as I can out of the sheath.
The sword looks invisible to everyone in the audience, no one saw him unsheathe his sword and swing it.
The next moment everyone looks surprised and happy.
The scene in front of them is something they will never forget.
The sword is right up against Elisa Silverette's neck with her hands up and seer standing there breathing extremely hard.
Elisa- I give up. The last sword slash was extremely fast I didn't have time to react to it when I reduce myself to your level. Congrats you have successfully defeated every one of us in a fair fight, I see a great warrior in you young man (whispers to him) "you also look absolutely delectable". I would prefer it if you started calling me "aunt Elisa".
