Chapter 34 - Poisoned!

But just as he approached Ji Min, two extremely deep voices raged over from the distance.

"You dare!" They said in unison as the assassin frowned.

"Fork! I totally forgot about these two." He cursed as he looked ahead and behind.

"Sheet, they're approaching really fast!" He added, as he glanced at Ji Min and grinned evilly.

He then whipped out a hollow dart and stabbed it into the open wound on Ji Min's arm before a black bottle appeared in his other hand.

The moment he uncorked the bottle, a dark purple smoke fleeted of its mouth before brushing past a leaf just beside Ji Min's face.

Ji Min watched the leaf begin to shrink and crumple before turning to ashes that blew away with the slightest breath from his nose.

Just as he was about to scream.

Bang!

Ji Min felt the other organs that hadn't swapped positions earlier follow their predecessors whilst all the air that could bring out his screams came out through his four orifices.

The assassin then pumped his wounds full of the poisons, as Ji Min's thirst for oxygen ensured that the poison spread through his body very quickly with each breath he took.

Ahk!

The poison was fast-acting, and Ji Min began to feel like he had acid for blood and lava for other fluids; an unprecedented level of agony tugged his consciousness past the line of death and back a few times.

The assassin realized that the poison was working, but just to be sure that the kid would never smile again, he brought out a pill and shoved it into JI Min's mouth, before fisting him for a third time, causing the boy to finally lose consciousness after swallowing the pill.

"Little Min!"

An anxious masculine voice screamed over Ji Fang appeared just after the assassin vanished.

Ji Wang, on the other hand, flew around the area on his sword as he searched for the masked assassin they saw earlier, but not even a whiff of his presence was left behind, and it was as if he had never appeared there.

Ji Tang arrived afterward, and upon realizing what had happened; he quickly ordered Ji Wang to go and gather every physician that was within their town as soon as possible and bring them to his villa.

Then he told Ji Fang to tighten the security around and within the town, and also prevent no one to leave or enter except Ji Wang and the physicians that were coming with him, whilst he simply carried Ji Min and anxiously rushed back to his villa.

Every single member of the Southern Ji Family could sense that something bad had happened and the air within the entire town was so tense that it was almost palpable.

It was almost like someone would choke if anyone tried to inhale the air in the atmosphere or would be charged with treason if anyone dared to breathe too loudly.

About four hours later, Ji Wang returned with five physicians from the neighboring clans and even sent for the Royal Physician of the Xiao Family who was luckily close by as well.

Then after several hours of checking Ji Min's condition, none of them came out with smiles, and they all seemed to wear hateful expressions as they approached Ji Tang to explain the situation.

Apparently, Ji Min had been fed the 'Meridian Melting Pill', which as its name suggests melts the entire meridian network of its victims into a puddle of harmful liquid which then goes on to slowly poison the victim from within.

If that was all, then it would have been salvageable, but once the Royal Physician gave the result of his diagnosis, the entire Southern Ji Town descended into a deathly silence.

In addition to the destroyed meridians, Ji Min was also said to have been inflicted with a disease called; 'The Tranquil Poisoning'.

The disease symptoms included; experiencing frequent delusions, regular all-around body pain, regular loss of consciousness, regular cramping of the entire muscular system, and random organ failures, especially at midnight, and all of these were just to name a few.

The poison cocktail contained more than thirty different types of venoms, and the mentioned symptoms only pertained to three of them.

"Fang, I want him alive!" Ji Tang ordered as Ji Min's first uncle; Ji Fang nodded before slightly muttering to himself.

"Zap Steps!"

Boom!

Lightning snaked across the area as strong wind flapped the clothes of everyone present.

If one was to look at the spot where Ji Fang had been standing a moment earlier, one would only be able to see two charred footprints.

"Master Li, please save him!" Ji Tang clasped his hands with a bow as the Royal Physician hurriedly held him up out of respect.

There was no one within the empire who didn't know what Ji Tang had gone through in the last decade; they knew if they were in his shoes, then they would have laid waste to whoever caused them such grief even if it was the royal family itself.

But they all knew it was the emperor's condition of raising a grand elder-level talent that was delaying the inevitable revenge conquest that the entire empire had been anticipating for seven years now.

But the revoked patriarch was too shrewd and simply began to target any talent that ever came out of Ji Tang's loins.

On the one hand, it was a very clinical tactic; but on the other hand, the entire empire knew blood will flow like dams on the day Ji Tang finally manages to raise a grand elder-level direct descendant.

Master Li; the royal physician closed his eyes as he ran through the results of the diagnostics in his mind once again; the poison had almost spread all over Ji Min, and his veins had already begun to bulge with a strange color.

His veins were purple in some places, red in others, and finally black in some other areas of his body. "I know someone who has cured this poison once." Master Li said with a sigh.

"But the problem is that he loathes visitors and is very greedy." Master Li added as he shook his head in pity.
