After thinking for some time Nameless finally takes the contract and read it through line by line so not to miss anything.
The contract although has many clauses it boils down to below conditions,
1. The Cube and its information are strictly confidential and must not be shared in any way with others.
2. The infighting amongst members of Cube should be avoided when they are born in same world and is forbidden when they are on a mission from Cube.
3. The orders of the Administrator are inviolable.
4. You can't leave once you joined.
5. Mission from Cube is optional with high return rewards, but if a mandatory mission comes up you have to do it.
6. All your personal rights are reserved and you can make your own decisions unless it violates the Cube's Security or Profit.
7. Once you form the contract, 30 % of your mana will be taken up by Cube as operating cost. [changeable]
And rewards,
1. You will gain a Personal Assistant AI system which will crater to your needs specifically created for you.
2. Depending on your level you can use all the facilities of the Cube. [System level is same as your personal level].
3. You can choose your transmigration option in our specially designed Gates.
4. You can choose a wide variety of skills from Cube's library suitable for you even after your transmigration through shop function.
5. Since you are always connected with Cube Network you can raise your own request on Cube's request board and get help from other members.
6. By Connecting with Cube, YOU CAN BE IMMORTAL! Whenever you are nearing death in your world you will be summoned back.
After reading through the contract Nameless closed his eyes and was in deep thought, After being sitting still for an unknown amount of time he finally opened his eyes.
"This is too good to be true" he said "so why give this much advantage to someone, to me?"
"Well, we can't give this chance to anyone in truth no one, you, me and the others we are selected by the cube itself. Those who has the capability to become a God"
"God as in God, who created everything and all Powerful"
"No, God as in Powerful and have authority over his domain"
"So I can become a God, How?"
"Sorry, I can't give you more information, without the contract" said Saint Lucas with a grandfatherly smile. "I know you are confused by all this but if I have a say, you can choose what your instinct points you to, when you became an Ethereal you are becoming a superior race connected to the Universal Order, so your instinct is mostly correct since it is influenced by what the universe believes you want to become"
"What is Universal Order?"
"Huh? Yeah, it's like the combination of Laws with which Universes Operate. There's a myth that it's conscious so everyone calls it Universal Order"
Saint Lucas said and a couple secs later he continued
"But no one has confirmed on it yet, so you don't have to worry about being manipulated, because if it's true Universal Order will be a supreme most being, It won't take time in manipulating us, who are like ants to it" he committed with a smile.
"What does it mean by Administrator's order is inviolable?"
"It is what it is exactly, Administrator is the only one who can monitor the workings and functions of the Cube so her orders are at times Cube's orders which means we have to fulfil at any cost since without cube we won't be existing"
"What exactly is Cube?"
"You can consider it a mythical object capable of anything, alright, If you want to know more you know what to do"
Both of them looking at each other trying to make the other feel pressured.
And Of course, Nameless have to give up since he lacks both experience and power.
"So how to sign this contract I don't even known my name"
"Ha ha, it is a soul contract with the Cube you can just place your hand over the contract and say I accept the contract"
Nameless did as was told "I accept the contract". Once he said that he accepts it the contract glows up and created two copies one went into Nameless and one disappeared.
Along with the contract lots of information poured into the Nameless's Mind.
Now he understands what Cube is and why the need for secrecy. The Cube is a mythical device created by different supreme beings of multiple universes to rule over the Chaos Ocean and to make multiverse travel possible. But it triggered the wrath of Universal Order and killed all the supreme beings. The cube which already awakened its consciousness used the situation and escaped into the Chaos Ocean, wanting to no longer be a tool but to become an independent universe.
To make it's wish come true, the cube is now offering mortals with great capability a chance to become God's in return for snatching the mana and mythical treasures from other universes. But the information is not whole it was only the general information on the Cube and its facilities along with System guide and some know how do to things no major information was shared.
Nameless gave Sage Lucas with a questioning look to which the old man replied back with a smile "I guess you got the starter info package, as you have just joined as a new born Ethereal you a Level 0 rookie and got your system starts with Level 0, the more you increase the level of the system the more features you will get."
"You would have that info also in the package, please check it later. Now let us get going. Since you have signed the contract with me as a witness you will be my ward. So let's go to my place for now"
Sage Lucas waved his hand making a big glowing circle pulsing with violet light appear around them marked with multiple runes and they disappeared into light particles.
In a mountainous place filled with fog, two persons were moving forward deep into the fog. They were none other than the OldMan Lucas and Nameless.
"Don't worry it's temporary. Once you reached a Saint rank you will get your own space"
They waked into the mountain filled with maze and fog until they reached a clearing with a castle and a small mansion, "The castle belongs to me and the mansion is your seniors he's already a stage 9 mage, once he becomes a saint he will move out. He's in a mission once he comes back you can get some tips and tricks from him on the different worlds. Pick an low level world for your first time, remember we have the most is Time".
Once he finished his speech he just disappeared into smoke.
Leaving just Nameless alone, he moved through the fig looking for a suitable location far from the castle to set up his home for now.
