CHAPTER 54 – His True Identity
"Just now, I was reminded of my mother."
Pearl's brows snapped together, understanding his pain all too well.
He did not need to cry it out or voice out his hurt more than this before she knew it all.
He must have hurt to suffer this way, she thought and it ached her even more. He did not deserve this.
They didn't desrver this but life was cruel to this point.
Pulling her hand from his, she lifted up on the ground and threw her arms around his neck as she enveloped his body in a big hug.
A soft gasp escaped his lips from her action. Even though a hug wasn't what he expected, who was he to complain?
"Pearl."
"Shhh, just stay still and stay with me," she hushed him.
Her hand moved to his silky sliveriah white hair and entwined her fingers with the strands as she patted his scalp.
"There, there, there. It's okay."
