Chapter 36 - For My Extravagant Wife

"Ricky..are you there?" Dave asked.

"Yes," Ricky said.

"So did you find who she is?"

"Yes"

"Who?" Dave asked.

"You don't need to know and don't reveal this finding to anyone" Ricky replied curtly.

"Fine. But don't forget my payment."

"There is one more thing, knowing that she is carrying a fake identity and might be a scheming person I checked the wedding events as well, she really had no part to play in whatever transpired, poor woman" Dave sighed.

"She had different plans on the wedding day itself, there is no way she tricked Alec Wilson into marrying her unless he was smitten by her. Poor woman, she even drank the spiked wine meant for Mr. Wilson and fell sick for days".

"Also, Even Isobelle Ford has her sources investigate the wedding day events. I'll send you the details about the drug you might want to show it to Mr. Wilson." Dave informed Ricky.

Ricky was still dumb struck finding out that El is Michelle Ford.

He recollected his memories with Michelle, she was only 9 years old when she first came to South-hills with her grandmother.

Alec would always tease her and she would always run to him and say with a pout

"Brother Richie, bad Al is being mean again."

From a young age he felt protective towards her.

"Poor Michelle, left one friend at the altar, was compelled into hiding and then forced to marry another friend. Karma has been a true bitch to her" Ricky said, feeling sympathetic.

At Ford's Villa, Alec, El and Alexandra were having lunch.

"Did Michelle visit you?" Alec asked.

Before Alexandra could say anything, El said, "Yeah, she was here yesterday. She left an hour before you arrived."

"Did you see what she looked like?" He asked.

El glared at him with her brows furrowed.

Alec realised his folly, he was asking his wife about how another woman looked.

"I knew her as a child." He said clumsily.

El rolled her eyes and ignored him.

After having lunch with Alexandra, Alec and El left. El noticed the driver taking a different route.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see." He replied.

The car stopped and El looked outside. Her face brightened in joy

"It's a dog park" she exclaimed.

"I love dogs!"

She grabbed his hand and hurried inside the park.

Alec was taken aback by her excitement.

She walked through the park in glee petting all the dogs around her.

Picking a poodle she said,

"Look Alec, it's so cute."

He stood close to her and was in awe of her reaction.

'Izzy's suggestions worked' he thought.

He walked with her while she frolicked around.

"This place is literally heaven" she tiptoed and kissed him on his lips.

Alec caught in the moment, wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her closer deepening the kiss.

El blushed and whispered,

"Alec, stop, we are in public."

"If you whisper my name like this I might never be able to stop" he answered seductively.

El felt her body tense up. She kept her hand on his chest signalling him to stop.

Eventually Alec let her go.

They spent hours at the dog park. El picked up all of the tiny dogs and had her pictures taken.

"Do you want to keep one?" Alec asked.

"Yeah I do, but I'd hate to leave them alone back home for long hours."

"We'll come here often then." Alec said.

El nodded with delight.

When they stepped out of the dog park, El walked towards the car, Alec stopped her.

"That's our ride for the evening," he said, pointing at the Harley Davidson.

El eye's widened and so did her smile. They both rode to the city outskirts enjoying the ride amidst the secluded forest and hills.

Alec saw El's alluring face through the rear view mirror.

Her hair was floating in the soft breeze.

She spread her arms, lifting her face upwards and inhaled deeply.

Her eyes were closed but her calm face exuded sheer bliss. She then wrapped her hands around his waist and rested her face on his back.

Alec felt her warmth engulfing his mind and soul.

After a long ride, they stopped at a park.

Alec held her palm and stepped in. The park was decently crowded with kids running around and people chattering and laughing around.

There were also a number of couples who were walking holding their partner's hands. Alec and El strolled around the park holding hands like every other couple.

But unlike an ordinary couple, they noticed people staring at them and gossiping

"Is that The Alec Wilson and who is the woman with him?"

"I heard he is married, is she his wife?" A woman spoke in the crowd.

"I don't remember seeing her anywhere, she doesn't seem like the daughter of any eminent family" another woman spoke.

"Ignore them." Alec said

"I wasn't even listening." El replied in a calm and carefree voice.

She knew that some people and the media won't stop spewing venom against her no matter what, as Michelle Ford before or as El Wilson now.

So she had perfected the habit of nonchalantly ignoring them.

However, the issue about her family abandoning her always got her rattled.

"Come on, the fountain show is about to start." Alec had booked VIP seats for both of them for the fountain show.

They enjoyed the colourful fountain making decorative patterns along with synchronised music.

El and Alec stole glances at each other during the show. El's face turned red when he caught her staring at him.

She quickly turned her blushing face towards the fountains.

Slowly the crowd started dissipating and the music grew softer.

"There is something I need to tell you." Alec said, looking into El's eyes. El smiled and nodded.

"I.. "

El slightly raised her eyebrows getting curious about what he wanted to say

"El.."

"Yes.. go on." El said, getting more eager.

"O.."

El looked at him in a puzzled way.

"V.. "

El realised what Alec was saying. Her eyes widened in surprise but she didn't look away.

Alec continued "E.. you. I Love You Mrs. El Wilson."

Finally, He confessed his love.

Alec looked at her, desperate to know her reaction to it. He never felt so vulnerable in his entire life.

"I love you too, Alec," she said, looking intently at him.

She didn't shy or look away after saying this.

She looked straight into his eyes as if she was assuring him that his love won't be unrequited.

Her words felt like a saving grace to Alec.

Alec sat stiff at his place while El leaned in and kissed him.

In no time they heard the sound of fireworks.

The unexpected fireworks grabbed everyone's attention. Everyone was in awe looking at the vivid display above them.

The sky was filled with light and mesmerizing colours. They slowly dimmed, clearing the sky but in the next moment they heard a loud explosion and the words

"I LOVE YOU EL, -ALEC" were magnificently displayed in the form of fireworks. El's eyes were shining brighter than the fireworks when she looked at the words written above.

"You planned all this?" She said rhetorically.

"I had to end it with something extravagant for my extravagant wife"

El threw her hands around his shoulder and tiptoed to kiss his lips. Alec pulled her closer. This time El didn't mind the crowd around them.
