The next day, Alec was at Wilson's Mansion, when he heard Alexandra's phone ring.
Since she was asleep, he decided not to disturb her and went ahead to cancel the call. He saw the caller ID, it was Michelle calling her.
He received the call instead of cancelling.
"Hi grandma" he heard her sweet and elegant voice,
"Hello, grandma ,are you there?" Michelle kept asking.
"Grandma Alexandra is asleep" Alec replied softly.
Michelle stiffened when she heard his voice from the other end.
"Uh okay" she said and hung up. Alec noted her number.
Fortunately for Michelle, she was using another number with an untraceable phone that Mark had given her.
Alexandra who was only resting her eyes, easily woke up when she heard Alec's voice.
"I'm sorry grandma, I didn't mean to wake you up." Alec apologised.
"It's fine, child. I was meaning to speak to you about something." Alec nodded
"Michelle wants me to move into Ford's Villa here in South Hills." Alexandra said.
"Okay, will you be staying with her?" Alec eagerly asked.
"No, she does not stay in South-Hills but she'll be visiting me frequently."
Alec nodded at her reply.
"I'll have Ben arrange for everything."
"No need, Michelle will have everything arranged there."
Alec nodded, he said his goodbyes and left.
Alexandra informed Michelle that she'll be moving the next day. Knowing this Michelle asked Mark for help.
"I'll pay you for everything once I get my salary for this month. But, everything has to be arranged by tomorrow evening." She told Mark.
As soon as Michelle left Nora Fabrics and Designs, she accompanied Mark to Ford's Villa.
Mark had arranged some helpers to clean and arrange the place.
He had even brought the things Michelle asked him to get, including the old Ford family portrait.
All of them were so busy in preparing the villa for Alexandra that they didn't notice it was late at night.
"You must go now, I'll take care of the rest." Mark told Michelle.
Seeing the time Michelle agreed.
El was driving her own car she had bought previously. She didn't have Robert or any driver accompany her today.
When she returned to Alwils Villa, she saw Alec waiting for her at the door.
El knew she was in deep trouble when she looked at him.
He had a fierce intimidating aura around him.
She carefully parked her car and stepped out walking towards the door.
Alec stood at the same place without moving.
El felt the silence between them was strangling her so she decided to break it
"Alec.." she said softly.
Alec grabbed her chin tightly and raised her face.
"This is why you wanted Robert off your back? So that you can loiter around late at night, huh?"
He fumed and tightened his grip on her chin.
She whimpered under the pain, "Alec please."
"Where were you?" He was seething with fury.
"I was helping a colleague move." She said as she struggled.
Alec loosened his grip on her chin but didn't let go.
"Why didn't you inform me?" He asked her
"You could have called me." She replied looking into his eyes.
Alec was speechless when she said this. All this while he was waiting for her, so furious with the fact that she was late that it didn't occur to him to call her.
"Why didn't you call me?" She asked again.
"Inform me the next time you go somewhere unusual or rather just come back on time" he said ignoring her question.
"I'm not used to it Alec, most of my life I've been by myself, I can't change the way I live overnight." She said firmly
"Besides, Do you inform me when you are late? Don't I call or text you then?" El questioned him.
Alec was speechless again. Noticing that he didn't say anything, she moved his hand away and walked in.
Alec stood still at the same place.
'What just happened' he thought to himself.
Alec was baffled with the fact that she had turned the tables on him again. Something that no one else was able to do.
He recollected himself and rushed after her.
When he reached the room, he heard her showering inside.
Few minutes later she stepped out wearing her pyjamas.
Alec was waiting for her sitting on the edge of the bed.
He saw her, her dusty face from when she returned looked more clean and bright now, but she had reddened marks around her chin. He felt guilty looking at it.
El ignored him and climbed on the other side of bed.
Alec held her hand before she could lie on the bed. He moved his hand to touch her face.
To his disappointment, she squeezed her shut in the anticipation of pain.
His heart constricted when he saw her reaction.
He stopped himself and said,
"I'm sorry".
El slowly opened her eyes and saw him.
Knowing that he felt guilty, she pouted and laid herself down facing her back to him.
"I'm sorry El" he apologized again sweetly unlike his usual nature.
However, El didn't react.
He laid close beside her and hugged her from behind.
She moved to make him take his hand back. She kept moving repeatedly. Contrary to her wishes, Alec was having a different reaction to her movement.
Getting close to her ear he said,
"Stop moving," in a seductive voice.
"Or I won't be able to control myself."
El stopped moving immediately, her cheeks turned a deep shade of red hearing his words.
