The next day, El returned from her work and saw Robert waiting for her outside NF&D.
She got in the car and said "To the Crossfire Gym." El said.
"Miss. El, sir has asked us to bring you directly back to Alwils Villa.
El's eyes widened, before she could say anything, the car drove off.
In Alwils Villa, ignoring Alec who was waiting for her she rushed to her room.
To her surprise she saw a black dress neatly kept on her bedside desk. Alec cleared his throat standing near the door. El turned to look at him.
"My parents have arranged a reception party for us at Wilson's Mansion. Get ready, we have to be there in an hour" Al said.
Michelle despised Carolyn, clearly she wasn't willing to go to Wilson's Mansion.
Even though she know Alec wouldn't agree she had to ask,
"Can I not come?"
"Its a reception party for us" Alec said emphasizing each word.
"What part of it don't you understand?" Alec questioned her.
El lowered her head and nodded.
A couple of minutes later she stepped out of her room.
The black sleek dress accentuated her curves. Her hair was tied in a bun making her facial features more clearer.
She had light make-up on like she usually did.
Her dark black dress made her bare neck and shoulder look more fair.
Alec got closer to her and opened a jewellery box. El saw the diamond necklace. It had a light and sleek design with floral swirls.
"Do you like it?" Alec asked. El nodded looking at him.
"Wear it."
El meticulously took the necklace placing it on her neck and tried to hook it from behind.
Looking at her struggle with it, Alec held her hand and swiftly turned her around.
"We don't have all day," he said, getting closer to her ear.
He hooked the necklace and touched her nape while he was at it.
El's body stiffened at his touch. "It's time to leave." He said in her ear.
When they reached the Wilson's Mansion, they saw many cars lined up in the parking lot.
As they entered they saw a lot of guests talking amongst themselves.
"Son, you arrived," Carolyn said, walking towards Alec.
"Why is she here?" Carolyn said, looking at El distastefully.
"Why wouldn't she be, didn't you organise a reception party for us?" Alec asked.
"Who said anything about reception? I organized this party only for you."
Alec was irritated with his mother's reply. To his future annoyance El asked "Should I leave?".
"That would be wonderful", Carolyn replied.
Alec held the back of El's arm tightly, and said, "Stay" gritting his teeth.
His rough grip on her arm was hurting her, yet she didn't react to it.
Alec moved forward holding her arm,
"Meet Mr. Gustav, Alec and this is Allison, his daughter." Carolyn said, introducing Allison.
"Isn't she beautiful?" She continued.
"Why don't you and Allison have a chat?"
"There is no need for that mother." Alec said coldly and walked away dragging El along with him.
Carolyn followed them and said
"What about Sullivan's daughter, Alina, I assume she will suit your taste."
El was shocked at her words.
"What are you up to mother?" Alec asked with a stern face.
"Nothing much, I'm only introducing you to some interesting people who you might end up liking." Carolyn replied pleasantly.
She saw that Alec was still holding El's arm. "Let go of her now, she is not a child. You should mingle around."
El tried to move her hand but Alec squeezed it tighter. Seeing that, Carolyn walked away.
Shortly after, a server offered the couple wine, while doing it she slipped the tray, making the wine spill on El's dress.
"Oh, poor you" Carolyn said in an elaborated sympathetic way.
"Rene, please escort her to the washroom upstairs." Carolyn said instructing the house maid, Rene. El walked with Rene upstairs.
El glanced behind and saw Carolyn introducing Alec to another woman.
Rene brought El to a dimly lit room upstairs.
Seeing the room El had her guard on.
Opening the washroom door, Rene said, "Ma'am, you can wash up here, I'll get you a towel in the meantime."
El entered the washroom, within no time Rene put on the shower and left, locking El inside.
El was completely drenched.
She turned off the shower and searched for a towel.
Meanwhile Rene locked the door as well and hurried downstairs. Seeing Rene hurrying outside, Mark walked towards the room.
Mark is always around.
While he was on his way to the room he heard a loud cry, "OPEN THE DOOR''.
Everybody present in the mansion heard her voice, Carolyn hadn't predicted El could shout so loudly.
Alec rushed upstairs, Carolyn, Fred and a few other guests followed him.
Seeing them, Mark stopped his tracks for a moment and then joined the guests.
"Why is the room locked?" Alec asked, fuming with rage. They could hear the banging sound from inside the room.
"LET ME OUT" El shouted at the top of her voice again.
"Open it." Alec said.
Ben hit the door twice when Mark came and said
"Let me"
He broke the door open in a single blow. All of them hurried in and Alec opened the washroom door, he saw El was drenched and panting hard.
She hugged herself and shivered.
Mark hurried to her wrapping his coat around her. El held it tight. Looking at everyone around she walked out.
"Robert, please take me back home" she said with a straight face and continued walking to the door.
Robert rushed to the car before El, he opened the car door for El and she got in.
To her surprise, Alec got in as well and sat close to her.
He wrapped his hand around her shoulder and asked "Are you alright?" But El didn't say anything.
Few minutes later,
"Where were you, Robert?" El said in a complaining voice.
"Aren't you assigned to protect me? Where were you when I was locked, drenched and cold?" El continued.
Although she was speaking to Robert her words were intended for Alec.
"I'll be careful next time miss El." Robert said.
When they reached Alwils Villa, El hurried back to her room like she usually did when she returned.
