The next day went as usual, both Alec and Michelle were busy with their respective work.
At night Alec was twisting and turning on his bed thinking about the previous day's incident. The way she indirectly blamed him for her condition.
He missed her the most at night time when he couldn't find her on the other side of the bed. Unable to sleep he went downstairs to have a midnight snack.
While on the way he couldn't help himself from going to El's room.
Alec entered and saw her sleeping comfortably clutching on her blanket.
He continued to stare at her. She turned making the blanket slip till her waist.
Alec was surprised to see her, she was only wearing her brassiere above her waist.
The red brassiere accentuated her fair bright skin.
Alec was feeling aroused at the sight of her. He had a sudden urge to have her, to kiss her everywhere, to make love to her, to cherish her and also to ravage her.
His fisted his hand hard to control his urges. He didn't want to force himself on her, he knew El would hate him if he did it. Knowing this he turned and left.
Two days later, Isobelle called Michelle.
"I looked into the events of your wedding day and something doesn't add up." Isobelle said.
"What do you mean?"
"You told me Alec Wilson came searching for his bride at the peacock point, right? Isobelle asked.
"Yeah", Michelle replied.
"Why was he looking for her, when he knew she was at the spa? He got her the appointment himself."
"What are you talking about?" Michelle was puzzled.
"Trust me El. I've looked into everything" Isobelle said emphasizing on 'everything'.
"Events that transpired that day draw a conclusion that Alec not just wanted to have a proper wedding as planned, he wanted to have you as his bride."
"Think about it, El. He could have asked for anyone to have a bride arranged. But forced Elena to do it and what choice did Elena have other than asking you? Nobody knew you substituted Elena as the bride, before the wedding ceremony, not even his parents. He spent the whole morning with you on his wedding day. Have you ever given it a thought?" Isobelle asked.
"What about finding Elena and Harry? Was that his plan too?" Michelle asked.
"No, given the type of spa and salon appointment he had made for Elena she must have been there atleast till early evening. I don't think he was aware of her ulterior motive. Besides, Elena's dad who worked at Wilson Groups was fired and asked to leave the city."
"And what about Harry?" Michelle asked
"He was thrown out of the city as well."
"Wow, looks like you've done your research well."
"There is something else, Alec Wilson's wine was spiked with a lethal Antiandrogen drug" Isobelle said.
"But.."
"But you drank it and had different side-effect."
"Ooh. That explains my headache and sickness after the wedding."
"Do you know who spiked the drink?" Michelle asked.
"Harry" Isobelle replied.
Michelle was utterly shaken up with that revelation.
"Wasn't he locked?" She asked.
"He had bribed someone in the staff that morning, considering that he had an affair with Elena and Elena was going to marry Alec Wilson, it kinda makes sense." Isobelle reasoned.
"Does Mr. Wilson know about it?" Michelle asked
"He knows you were drugged, but he hasn't yet reached Harry."
"Do you know where he is?" Michelle asked Isobelle.
"I'm trying to find out. He isn't with Elena at this moment."
"Okay, thanks for letting me know Isobelle. You are a genius."
"That I'm sis." Isobelle said with a smug smile.
Later that evening, at the Crossfire gym, Michelle informed Mark about Harry's plan. She deliberately left the parts of the day that indicated that Alec wanted to marry her.
"Isobelle has done an impressive work" Mark complimented her m.
"But we need to find and keep an eye on Harry" Michelle was suspicious.
"Have someone do it" Michelle told Mark.
"And how do you plan to pay that someone?" Mark asked her in a sarcastic voice.
"I'll pay you at the end of this month."
"In these past two weeks, you made me 'have someone' 'do something' way more times than you did in past four years. You know we have to pay those people right?" Mark taunted.
"It's different now, back then I was no one. Now I'm Alec Wilson's wife. Feel like I've to be on my guard all the time" Michelle said letting out a long breath.
"You have to be on your guard all the time irrespectively" Mark said plainly.
However, he was concerned about her. "If the marriage is keeping you on edge, Why don't you divorce him?"
Mark's question made her think about what Isobelle said today and about the time when Alec fumed that he doesn't intend to divorce her.
"Mr. Wilson made it clear he won't be divorcing me when his mother pestered me for it. It won't be easy to go against his will" Michelle sighed.
"It won't be easy for any other ordinary girl. But you are Michelle Ford"
"Say the word, and I'll see to it that Alec Wilson won't be a problem for you, not now or in the future." Mark said firmly.
"And who is going to pay for that, huh?" Michelle taunted Mark back.
"Its the same thing both ways" Michelle said.
"Seems like you don't intend to divorce him as well." Mark said in a teasing manner.
"Are you liking him, Michelle?"
"Nooo" Michelle said in an over emphasized manner.
"I hope you know that creep keeps starring at you at night when you are asleep. 'Starring' is a decent word he ogles at you" Mark teased her futher.
Hearing him Michelle was feeling shocked and shy and the same time.
"You are blushing now" Mark said.
"Its time, I'm leaving" Michelle said ignoring his words.
While leaving Mark said "Say Hi to your husband for me"
Michelle replied "Say hi to your boyfriend for me"
Now it was Mark's chance to be shocked and shy.
"You are not the only one who keeps an eye." Michelle winked at him and left.
