After an hour, Alec heard a phone beep.
It was her phone that he had kept with himself.
He took it from his pocket and read the message :
"Paragliding reminder, be here in five minutes. No refund in case of absence."
The message reminded him of how firmly she said that she had to return in two hours.
How he had planned everything so that he could have her but fate played a wicked game.
"I'll still make her mine, no matter what" Alec said to himself. He took out his phone to call his bodyguard.
"Ben, Where is she?"
"Miss Elena went back to her room in 3rd floor"
"I wasn't talking about her, ''
Alec said in an annoyed voice.
Understanding Alec, Ben said
"She hasn't left her room and she is by herself".
Alec took his phone and saw the footage on the fourth floor.
Alec didn't want anything to go wrong so he had made all arrangements from obtaining the camera access and setting up signal jammers to stationing guards in and around the Hamspearl hotel.
Yet he feared that things might go wrong like it did before. He decided to check up on her.
When he reached her door, he felt hesitant to open it.
He gathered courage and opened the door. He was again surprised at the sight in front of him.
She was sleeping peacefully.
He was amazed looking at her sleeping face.
It was filled with tranquility.
"While everything is in turmoil, you manage to sleep peacefully"
He touched her face, he moved his fingers very delicately to the forehead near her scar, he then touched her soft cheeks and closed his eyes hoping for things to go according to his wishes today.
Stroking her hair he said
"Sleep well miss, it is indeed going to be a long day." He then exited her room.
Elena was relieved when her friend agreed to get married to Alec.
But, with every passing hour she was growing anxious again.
"Only two hours are left for the wedding ceremony to begin and she hasn't yet come out of her room", Elena said nervously.
She could no longer wait and went to visit her upstairs before she could open the door her friend opened it herself.
Elena let a sigh of relief.
"The wedding in is two hours. I'll have the dress and the make-up artists sent to your room, alright?" Elena said in a helpless and gloomy way.
Her friend only nodded.
She tried to keep herself calm and not think about anything.
After an hour and a half, she looked at herself in the mirror.
The white wedding dress made her look like an angel from heaven.
The intricately done makeup accentuated her facial features.
Seeing herself in a wedding dress she asked to herself
"Is this karma?"
She continued standing there looking at herself.
Her face was completely expressionless. As time passed fear creeped in her mind.
The sight of fierce and ruthless Alec appeared in front of her.
She began to tremble at his thoughts.
"It's time" said Elizabeth, standing near the door.
"Everybody is waiting for you." The bride only nodded and headed towards the wedding hall.
Elena was waiting for her at the corner of the hall, and she gave her a bouquet made from white and light pink roses.
"Thank you," Elena said.
The Wagner: Bridal chorus started playing and the bride walked down the aisle on her own.
As she headed closer she saw the groom and he looked back at her.
With elegance she got closer and stood beside him.
She noticed that Alec was wearing the cufflinks which she had chosen for him.
Alec turned to her and she did the same.
"What is your name?" He asked in a cold voice.
"E..El" she replied.
"El?" He raised his eyebrows in confusion.
"Just El," she said.
"Nice meeting you Mrs. El Wilson" Alec said with a smile on his face.
Alec eyed the wedding officiator to begin the ceremony.
"We have gathered here today to unite Mr Alec Wilson and Miss El in the bonds of holy matrimony."
"Do you Mr. Alec Wilson take Miss. El as your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, till death do you part? "
"I do," said Alec firmly.
"Do you Miss. El take Mr. Alec Wilson as your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, till death do you part?
"I do" El said, looking at Alec.
"You may exchange your rings" The officiator said.
Alec had arranged a wedding ring for her and himself. Elizabeth handed Alec's ring to El. They exchanged their rings. The crowd cheered for them.
"By the power vested in me by the State of Arydalle, I pronounce you Husband and Wife".
"You may kiss the bride," the officiator said.
El's body stiffened when she heard the officiator.
Alec leaned closer to her and softly brushed his lips against hers.
"I'll devour them one day" he whispered to her.
El's cheeks turned into a bright shade of pink hearing his words.
