"Most likely, though we couldn't find any dead bodies... There wasn't even a drop of blood in the whole place! We searched under the snow, thinking they had been buried but we couldn't find anything either. Though we found a small makeshift grave, there was nothing under the ground either!"
You could clearly hear the anguish in the voice of the person making the report. It made perfect sense that he felt that way; the person in front of him was the second most authoritative person in the South after all.
