"Class please welcome our new student".The teacher said with a smile on her face and we all knew that bright smile can change in the blink of an eye
"Hello,nice to meet you".we all chanted the way we were taught Though we were in high school,our teacher made it her job to teach us some common etiquettes including the line we just recited
"so the new student can feel welcome".The teacher said when we asked her the reason
"Nice to meet you all".He was tall,well taller than most in this class.He had sort of a rumpled look perhaps that's his thing
"My name is maximus".He hesitantly said,he looks so cute scrunching his face like that
"your last name".The teacher reminded with that same smile.we patiently waited for his last name but he didn't say anything
"Maxim?".The teacher looked at him.He tugged her arm and motioned for her to come outside.Five minutes later the teacher came in and ushered him a seat and then started the first lesson of the day
"Wonder what they talked about".I thought to myself,I couldn't even think straight.My parents had another argument this morning and it took all of me not to just scream and run away but in a few years time that dream will soon be a reality.They fight at the slightest of things and they aren't even aware of where they're arguing.I think it was last Sunday after the church service They both wanted to talk to the pastor although mum called his attention first but dad made a fuss of it and you guessed it,they argued
"ughhhh!!".I exclaimed
"Miss Henderson,Is there a problem".The teacher stopped what she was saying and faced me
"uhm".My mind was blank,what did I do that she was staring at me,not only her the entire class
"You exclaimed".she tilted her head.My hands immediately flew to my mouth
"oh I'm sowi".I said with my hands still on my mouth.The teacher gave me a lingering look before she continued the lecture
No doubt, she'll call me after the lecture.And throughout the rest of the class my mind registered absolutely nothing
Maxim's pov
A word to describe this school huge,it was not bigger than my previous school but it comes dangerously close.The teachers were welcoming even though I've only met one
perhaps dad was right,me coming to another school was for the best,there doesn't seem to be any trouble lurking around this school.I was patiently waiting for lunch,I wanted to see everyone.I am sure news of the new kid have spread to the other classes and it's the perfect way to test how the student's body is like.The bell rung,i think this is the fifth time it has gone so this should be fifth period.But I was surprised when I saw everyone leaving the class,is there something I'm not aware of
