"excuse me ma'am".I call her out before she leaves
"Yes,do you have any questions on today's topic?".she asked, putting all her things in her bag
"well no but I was wondering if I could talk to you on your indifference towards the class".I hesitantly said, twiddling my thumbs
"My indifference??"
"Elaborate".she folds her arms and stared at me waiting for my explanation
I took in a huge breath and let it out
"Well..you just come to class and teach,you don't bother to check on those sleeping".I explained
"of course...A teacher's job is to teach and a student's is to learn"
"so I don't care how they learn or if they learn as a matter of fact".she said and then left the class
I returned back to my seat feeling downhearted
"So much for trying".I mutter to myself
I look beside me and I saw her staring at me..The new girl was staring at me
"uhm,can I help you?".I asked and she just turned her head forward
Well,no plans today so home here I come
Leyla's pov
"what do you mean she rejected you?".I ask,This was a first no one has ever rejected us
"Not to worry Leyla, perhaps she didn't understand".
"yeah maybe".I said as I shrugged it off
"Try harder tomorrow".I said
"yes".They replied together
"Leyla,are you in here".I hear maxim's voice from the hallway
"who was in charge of keeping track on maxim?".I look around
"you didn't place anyone on maxim". Bri said
"oh shit,I forgot".jeez,I've been letting thing slip my mind lately
"quick hide,he's coming ".I shove them under the desk
"Leyla,are you here".He called out again
"yes babe ".I calm my nerves
"oh there you are".he walks in,he has a presence that everyone knows so he's very bad at hiding
"what are you doing here?".He asks,looking around the class
"just wanted to take in some air".I lie
"But I'm done.. let's go".I lean on him
"oh ok".he said as he ushered me out
Sorry for the short chapter,The next few chapters that will be published would be about Leyla and maximus.The class representatives and how they fell in love
