Chereads / Reincarnation of the Strongest Demon Emperor / Chapter 27 - High Risk High Reward

Chapter 27 - High Risk High Reward

Abaddon ran out of the plain-looking house and jumped onto the roof to see nothing but trees and plants covering the whole area around him, a creepy smile appeared on his face as he mused about his current situation.

" The system till now has proven that it's not fake or anything of that sort, that means two people are really keeping an eye on my every move right now. This world is really something!"

He didn't have any reasons to doubt the system in any way as he already saw the miracles that it can pull off.

He quickly checked how much time he had left before his temporary strength is gone for good.

' This should be more than enough if I use that technique. Well, I guess escaping this crisis unscratched isn't possible if I don't use it for a second time anyway."

His mind was running at full speed as he contemplated his next actions and the best options that he have right at this moment.

Thinking of the duo that was targeting him, he swept the area, but Abaddon saw no shadow of them. He unfortunately deduced that they were stronger than him.

Abaddon sported a wicked grin as he already began channeling his spiritual energy at full speed.

' A few seconds should be enough for me to play a game with these ants. Daring to target me huh! I'll show you how foolish your decision is.'

The martial arts that he was planning on using was the one that he got out of the Legendary Energy Dagger.

With its aid, he was able to effortlessly and easily kill off his wife of a traitor and Ben, the technique was simple to understand but extremely hard to execute.

It took a great toll on someone's body that even his previous physique which was strengthened by his emperor realm cultivation could only support a second of its usage, since using it for a longer period of time will call for severe consequences that could even cripple his cultivation itself.

Even earlier for him to kill Ben executing it, he had to only activate it for a split of a second and no more, fortunately, the kid was way weaker than Lilith and himself so he couldn't react to that brief usage of the martial arts.

Moreover, even with only that fraction of a second that was spent on that martial arts, it took a great toll on his body, which is mainly contributed to his weak cultivation and old body that's not used to spiritual energy.

At this moment, he knew full well that using it again will make him suffer internal injuries that might even cripple his cultivation if he was unlucky.

Yet, Abaddon's greed wasn't something that anyone could ever hope to come close to or even comprehend it. Since he frankly preferred to use that martial art that will surely cause him to suffer severe injuries, over making use of another temporary cultivation realm.

The realms are always balanced and fair no matter which world you are situated in, so with great power, comes great restrictions.

Thus, for him to be able to reach such speed that no one on his same level of cultivation could react to, he would have to understand and accept that it could only be used one time every month, and only for a second at best, depending on your cultivation realm.

However, even these restrictions weren't all of what was in store, as the speed that someone could generate would as well be linked to their own strength.

So, if someone was in the godly realm like Abaddon for example, he wouldn't be able to surpass the speed of anyone higher than him, so the technique was honestly mostly useless in the majority of the situations.

But Abaddon never gave any thoughts about such things, after all, he only browsed through only a fraction of the martial arts, so his comprehension of the technique is still way too shallow and still in its beginner stage.

Matter of fact, he doesn't even know the name or the rank of the martial arts he obtained from the Energy Dagger, but looking at the Dagger itself that was made of unknown mysterious energy, he believed that it was way stronger than Heaven martial arts, possibly on the same level of Saint techniques.

Even though Abaddon couldn't pinpoint the duo's power, figuring out their stage was easy. For him not being able to sense them with his current strength was all the proof he needed that they were stronger.

' At least I'll get rewards If I survive this crisis he-he-he.'

Abaddon's body turned into a dark shadow like the state he was in while massacring everyone in the village, a pair of red eyes were shining at the darkest time of the night.

Up in the sky, Ron narrowed his eyes as he scrutinized Abaddon's every movement, he appeared to be more serious at this moment that he even switched his hands that were on his back and placed them next to him.

Derek seemingly sensed that something strange was going on as he felt the spiritual energy that was being manipulated by the old man.

" Why would he suddenly come out and take that dark form again after he just went in and took a sit, father what do you think."

Derek always got answers from his father in every different circumstance in the world, so he subconsciously asked his father about what was happening right now.

" Humph! How naive, no one is currently around thousands of yards of his house except us. I don't know how or when, but it seems that he found out that we were watching him, it seems that I underestimated this old man's capabilities a little bit."

Derek felt shocked as he took a closer look at the shadow down below, it's not that he was afraid or anything of that sort since he was confident that he could squash this wicked old man without any effort.

However, for anyone to even be able to sense them was something really worth being praised for. After taking on countless jobs of different categories, no one was ever able to sense them if they didn't leak any of their aura and didn't want to be seen.

Matter of fact, they were confident that even people who were way above them in terms of cultivation level couldn't dream of sensing their existence, much less someone in their same realm.

They aren't arrogant or ignorant men, they knew full well their own prowess and limits, and for a 9th-layer godly realm cultivator to sense them. That's simply something unheard of in the entire empire.

If this news was leaked out to the public or the ruling clans, a huge storm might hit them by surprise, not cause of fear or joy, but greed. As everyone would try to recruit this guy that could sense the dragon slayers.

Which might actually look funny in the onlooker's view that didn't know much of this world, cause the dragon slayer's cultivation base wasn't in reality that strong to begin with.

Derek was on the first layer of the godly realm, while his father Ron was on the 5th layer of that same realm. They were both respectively weaker than Abaddon, yet they looked down on him and never placed him in their eyes.

Ron even never bothered about thinking of the fight, and the sole idea that was hovering in his mind the whole time was to find out the demonic cultivator's lair and rob him out of that extraordinary technique.

" It seems like he is inviting us, let's go and meet up with him."

Ron casually said as he started slowly floating down, his hands again placed behind his back after he felt no hostile aura coming out from Abaddon.

They both obviously never let their guard down, but they honestly didn't put Abaddon much in their eyes so their movements and actions were sort of relaxed.

Many people would still wonder on why and how would two weaker people could act this way, but that's a thing that can't be explained that easily, but all it could be told about this duo, was that their strength that was mainly their body, isn't something to be trifled with in the entirety of Storm Empire.

" Ohh! "

Abaddon was surprised by the physique of these people, a scene that he once saw a very long time ago flashed through his brain as he recalled a thing or two about this form.

They both had red long twin horns placed on their foreheads that faced the sky, the old man's pair of horns were thicker and taller though, looking quite imposing and giving off a slightly intimidating aura that didn't allow anyone with weak mental to stand in front of them.

Red thick scales that appeared to be way stronger in durability and resistance from the red armor that they were wearing covered their necks and hands, Abaddon even deduced that it spanned over their backs and legs as well.

' So Dragonoid exists in this realm as well, it seems that almost everything is really identical to my past realm, except that everything here is weaker and underdeveloped. '

" You have two choices. Yield or perish! "
