Chapter 21 - Mad Slaughter

But the only problem with that and why he disliked going on a long fight with the piece of the sword, was that his body couldn't seem to be handling that infinite spiritual energy and constant exchanges for long.

He deduced that his old body will reach its limits and break down after several minutes, and that's why he went for the kill.

' Listen to me system. Power is Power, and luck is but a variable. I'll show you what that exactly means and I'll personally broaden your horizons to a bigger image.'

Abaddon's entire life was focused on getting more and more power, he never believed neither in wealth nor being extremely smart as means of trampling over one's enemies.

He ridiculed the system that gave him the mission to kill this ant that it believed in mere luck and its ability to kill him. Hell, it would even be a great success if this luck was able to injure him in the slightest.

He channeled his spiritual energy like a madman as he attempted to use his trump card. Soon, his whole body turned dark, his figure didn't seem to be physical as it moved away with the slightest gentle breeze of wind.

Swoosh!

His dark illusory figure faxed away with the wind, the swords in his hands abruptly vanished, and in the next moment, he was already standing in front of Ben.

" WARNING, WARNING. The host should immediately cease his actions or dire consequences will follow! "

The cod robotic voice of the system kept sending several voice messages with the same contents from the moment Abaddon started circulating his spiritual energy, trying to prevent him from killing Ben.

"AI-"

Just as Ben was thinking about his life so far and distant future that seemed to be non-existent, a hand grabbed at his chest.

He rushed his spiritual energy in a panic to block the attack, but a sudden dark energy messed up his control. In but an instant, the hand pierced his chest and gripped his heart.

" Doesn't matter how lucky you are. In face of absolute power, you are but a mere chicken on the chopping board."

Abaddon's voice yet again reached his ears while his eyes were wide open with shock and disbelief after seeing the creepy smile of Abaddon.

At this moment, he felt that Abaddon was enjoying himself to the fullest and nothing could make him feel better than killing someone with his bare hands.

His vision started to slowly blur as he began losing consciousness, images of his current and past life flashed before his eyes till the very moment that he took his last breath.

Thunderous explosions that shook the very depths of Storm Wind Town exploded as several bolts of blue lightning struck down Abaddon that was standing right in front of Ben.

Simultaneously, the sword instantly dismissed the barrier as it tried to kill Abaddon using its every last drop of power that it had left.

But it was too late. Abaddon already gauged out Ben's heart. Blood flowed like a fountain from Ben's chest as he heavily collapsed to the ground, his body shaking a little bit before it stopped moving after a moment.

Abaddon's figure was already nowhere to be seen after he gauged out the kid's heart and the attacks were released.

the piece of the broken sword dropped to the ground after it's new master died, while the clouds in the sky after finding no target to aim for got immediately dispersed by a sudden foul of wind.

In the dead of night, a crescent moon hung in the dark sky above Storm Wind Town. Most people were asleep, with the exception of the two seconds grade clans.

The second-grade clan that shared half of the resources around the town with the Fang Clan could be seen fleeing the town with quick and panicked steps.

Their eyes flashed with fear as they looked back at the sky that now turned calm, their backs drenched with sweat and they didn't stop even after no evident damage was made to the town and everyone was sleeping like a baby.

A little far from the Fang Clan mansion, several elderly figures could be seen jumping on different buildings as they rushed to check on their Clan head and his sons.

Worry flashed in their eyes as they just witnessed several bolts of lighting and a strange phenomenon that illuminated their backyard transpiring in their clan's territory.

Abaddon's figure was being washed by the silver rays of the crescent room as he was hovering in mid-air, he opened his arms wide as he muttered in a demonic tone.

" Let's plunder and massacre everyone and get the most benefits out of this temporary cultivation realm."

He won't back away after simply killing the target and getting his rewards, after all, a lot of resources are currently existing in this town. His heart won't allow him to give up the resources that could greatly aid him in his cultivation.

Storm Wind Town was particularly quiet at this time since almost everyone was asleep while only a minority were drunk in the bars or in their rooms.

A dark light flashed inside the houses at the edge of the town, only to leave the next second to enter another house. The previous house filled with vitality faltered and was soon devoid of life.

The dark shadow's speed was dreadful, cleaning up three houses of a dozen people in one breath. When it left, the room was devoid of life and every item that had any value was gone.

In the same manner, the dark shadow traveled all over Storm Wind Town, taking every breath of life and anything worth of value along the way. One of its two final stops was the Fang Clan mansion which had several elderly figures that could be seen leaping on the wall and speeding to the backyard.

One elderly figure saw his friend assaulted and instantly killed by a dark shadow, his dead body was devoid of any life and dried up of vitality, leaving nothing but dust that the wind took away. It then vanished out of sight again.

Woosh!

The elder froze in shock, not getting what just happened to his fellow elder, but then Abaddon's voice came from behind him," Don't be that afraid, you will follow right after."
