Andrew looked at the now dark sky, the forest in front of him was illuminated by the splitted moonlight. His worn down shoes were sludged with blood as he trudged forward dragging his feet slowly in tandem with heaving breaths.

'Where the hell is this evolved beast?' Andrew looked at the screen in annoyance, hes been wandering around for the past couple of hours slaying left and right. He watched as he progressed through the trial, the wolves were all in small groups in random locations. With no signs of anything changing between each and every group.
[well, maybe it's on the other side of the river where you entered the trial? After all the task is not a side quest so it should be easier to reach. Theoretically of course]
Andrew listened to the voice nodding his head slowly, his feet were starting to ache a little bit from walking consistently for many hours on end.
He retraced his steps a bit to try and see if there was a quicker way back to the river, his stomach grumbled in resistance at the thought of more travel. But he ignored it, using pure motivation to push himself forward and through hunger.
The sound of water soon reached his ears as he struggled through a couple of tangled roots.
The waters white caps soon came into view as Andrew wiped some branches out of his sight. The gushing flood thundered down the riverbend.
"Well, guess that answers one question. I now know where I am." Andrew said to himself as he looked up and down the never ending flood.
It wouldnt take him long to get to the village if he wanted too as all he had too do was follow the riverbend until he found where he first met the two villagers, then just try and hope that his mind could remember all of the steps.
But thats not where he was heading now so he looked forward and took a couple of steps backwards to try and leap over it once again, but this time the bend seemed to be slightly bigger and more slanted as the water raised at certain points.
Taking a deep breath he lept over the small dropoff down to water, flailing his arms in large circles as he heard the large amount of wind passing by his ears. His eyes watered at the amount of water droplets and wind resistance hit his open eyes. Causing them to flicker open and closed.
He landed with a large flop on the other side, rolling a couple of times before stopping near a small rock that extended out of the ground. Grunting Andrew calmly looked around at his surroundings, extending his arms to push him up and off the ground.
'Well… i mean it works' He snickered to himself as he shook his head and wiped off his shirt from the crumbled needles and dirt that clung on in desperation.
Andrew looked at thre trees around him, their branches swaying their dark green needles and light pinecones.
[well, safe to say your stats are increasing]
Andrew nodded as he looked towards the river, he had jumped the river twice now. But the first time was a lot easier as it wasnt so up and down compared to this section of untamed wilderness.
'Suppose i should get this going'
Andrew turned to face forward and started up the large steep hill in front of him. Large divots were common as he had to watch his step as well as the random ledges that Andrew had to move around to continue moving up. Parts of the hill acted like stairs and others were like climbing a crumbled tree.
Andrew looked up as he was pushing himself up a small bump on the hill, he didnt feel like walking around it when it was just faster to climb up the large bump in the hill. The incline of the hill was decreasing rapidly as dirt stained his face and arms, his now slightly tanned skin was smudged in black soil as he steadied himself.
Andrew looked up at the remaining distance when he could see the sky as the hill rounded off, symbolizing the end of the incline. Cracking a small smile, he looked down and grit his feet in the ground. Pushing them out as he jogged up the remaining hill which took him about a minute as he finished in slightly ragged breathing.
Breathing out of his mouth lightly, he looked around at the landscape beyond the hill. The top of the pine trees were like a sea of green as it extended forward with a large lake in the middle. Some mountains line in another large circle around the pine trees. Like a great big nature filled donut.
Andrew looked right to see that the hill gradually continued upwards and left was the same.
'Nah fuck that, too tired for more climbing. Unless i find something interesting i wount even be touching the soil of higher elevations.' Andrew sneered at the thought of that and started to descend the giant hill.
But he paused in his tracks to look behind him. He could see the miniscule village from the top of the giant mountain which gave him a feeling of accomplishment and a little bit more motivation.
But his gaze gradually drifted upward towards the endless dirt wasteland. A dense fog now covered the view of the baron soil. But a shadow loomed in the fog and by no means was it small.
The width of it alone was big enough to cover 30 of the villages side by side. It was absolutely massive, he traced it all the way up. It was so big that even while being multiple miles away he had to crane his neck backwards. The shadow eventually trailed off, but not because it ended. But because the thick fog that eventually shaped into the artificial sky blocked it from his sight.
"What the fuck is that" Andrew looked at it with intrest, whatever it was was probably part of the dungeon so it didnt nerve him too much as he looked at it.
[potentially, but look at it this way. The fog isn't impeding on the land and whatever it is is remains right on the line between the greenery and the wasteland. So i doubt it's of any interest to us and of it's importance. But it's still damn intriguing.]
Andrew nodded in understanding, whatever it was it wasnt meant for him nor was it part of his quest.
Andrew eventually retracted his gaze from whatever it was and continued down the side of the mountain.
The shadow behind him remained still as if it was waiting before abruptly retreating upwards in such a fast motion that the air around it didn't even have enough time to fill in the spot where it originally was.
