"Well, guess i have another reason to stick around here" Andrew talked to himself as he looked around the lake with a new fire lit inside himself.
Andrew wiped some sweat off the top of his forehead as he looked around, he had been running around to find the cause of the abundance of wolves in the area. Using this as an opportunity to test just how much his agility has improved not in the form of numbers or short dashes, but over a long period of time. He had found that at the rate he was traveling, he wouldnt doubt that he was traveling at least 5 times as fast as he normally would have.
Andrew stopped running and put his hands on his knees to take a couple of deep breaths to try and help calm his rising heart rate. Looking around with desire to kill some beasts quickly he ventured deeper into the woods away from the safety of the lake.
The forest was a lot lighter over here compared to the area around the Village area as it was a lot thinner and trees were not creating a wall to keep you out.
Many tall pine trees now mixed in with some regular maple trees as he walked forward with increasing caution, the further he got from the lake the more danger he was in for a surprise attack, the moonlight was starting to dim as the moon started to lower on the fake sky.
Andrew suddenly stopped moving as he heard the snapping of branches a distance away, it wasn't anywhere close to him but the fact that he could hear it caused his brain to crash for a couple of seconds.
'Do my basic senses increase as well? Does that mean i will eventually be able to hear anything in my vicinity? ' ANdrew had a quick thought as he lowered into a croutch to approach the source of the sound.
His theory was only further proven as he was able to hear multiple sets of footsteps shuffling through the pine needles and maple leaves as they slowly went left from where they were first heard. Andrew could hear the light panting of a couple of wolves as he neared even closer.
His DEX stat was so high now that he could croutch quietly and still move as fast as a normal human could sprint.
But the world around him looked normal as he moved towards the small pack of wolves, a large bush blocked his view of the unknown number of wolves. The shuffling of leaves slowly stoped as Andrew also stopped moving. Andrew could hear the breathing slowly stop as Andrew could tell they were now weary of him.
'Alright, lets get farming.' Andrew smirked as he launched himself out of the bush into the opening.
The group of wolves was a lot bigger than Andrew had originally predicted, as there were over 14 of them all in a group. They were situated in a large semi - broken circle as the trudged through the forest as if they were a patrol group.
The first one to notice Andrew presence was soon looking down on it's own dead body as it's head flung throught the air in a lob.
'Eyes of the impervious
Andrew now loved this skill even more as he looked at the remaining 13 the best he could. Most of them cowered as they looked into his eyes, but some of them looked at him with caution as they neared him very slowly.
Andrew ignored the ones walking towards him as he deactivated Eyes of the impervious, diving forward towards the wolves who were feared by him, which amounted to a total of 8 wolves. Swiftly ending a few of them thanks too his new boost in stats from the ice wolf.
Turning around to try and finish a couple more off before the fear status effect wore off and his chance to harvest the soul would be lost. Andrew ran forward towards a small croup of three wolves who were starting to back away for their survival. The only thing holding them back was their own loyalty to their pack.
Andrew raised his axes above his head as he neared.
'Item transport'
Andrew threw the two axes towards the outside wolves as Andrew raised his fist towards the middle one.
This was the last straw for the three of them as the middle wolf turned around and fled as fast as he could while the other two tried to follow. The outside two were killed immediatly as the axes landed into their backs causing them to fall down and slide a couple of feet across the light green grass.
The middle one seemed to hear this and let out a whine as it weaved through a couple of trees.
'God, this is really taking a toll on my mental.' Andrew winced at this as he heard the pitifull whine of the wolf who was running away as fast as it could.
Andrew let out a long sigh as he stopped chasing the one wolf who was running away and turned around to see 4 wolves looking at him with anger and pride in their eyes. They seemed to think themselves superior for not running away and they all lept at him almost in sync as they ran forward towards him.
Andrew looked around towards the two wolves who had an axe lodged deep into their back, taking a mental note of where they are before looking forwards towards the onslaught of wolves.
'Lets test out my base strength now shall i?' Grinning as he ran towards the 4 with eagerness and excitement.
One of the jumped into the air to try and land on Andrew while the other 3 split up around him. Andrew raised his hand up and grabbed the wolfs bottom jaw as it tried to maul him, holding it tight enough so that it wouldnt be able to bite his hand but light enough for it not to crush under his strength.
Andrew reeled around wolf in hand and threw it at one of the three circling him and watched them collide and roll multiple meters in a yelping mess as he refocused towards the other two. The last two wolves were looking at him with a little bit of fear and weariness, but the pride and hatred in their eyes outshone the dim shadow of fear.
The both charged at him, learning from their comrades mistake and deciding to not jump as they both approached him at such speeds that a regular human could only pray that they tripped over an imaginary root. But Andrew could only look at them and scoff at the speed, to him it was like running a race against a 5th grader. Fast enough to maybe cause problems when you underestimate them, but over all, not much to be afraid of.
Andrew watched them as they approached and decided now would be the best time to test out a couple of times. Raising his right fist he turned towards the one charging at his left side, his fist reflected in the wolfs eyes as it flashed in fear far to late as it had no time to react as Andrew slammed his fist into the wolfs head causing it to slam into the ground. A small dirt cloud rose around the wolfs head as you could hear a loud crack as it landed.
"Holy shit" Andrew could only mutter as he looked at the outcome of his punch.
But his reaction was cut short as he felt the prickle of something gnawing at his leg, quickly turning back he punched down again at the wolf who was desperately trying to bite into his leg.
Andrew once again atched in amazement as another cloud appeared from the dirt.
"Well danm, thats one way to put them out of their misery." Andrew said lightly as he shook the wolf off of his leg.
His leg had four medium sized holes that were bleeding rapidly as they stung lightly compared to previous injuries. It seemed that only the wolfs fangs managed to punch through his apparently toughened skin.
Andrew tore off a part of his now muddy brown shirt and prepared to treat the injury before remembering that he should probably wash off the wouund first as it was from a canine. Looking down at his head he noted that he should probably wash his clothes while he was at it. He lifted his arm to get a whiff, and reched at the smell.
"Holy- *cough* moly- *cough cough*" Andrew gagged out, every since the start of all of this chaos he had forgotten too do most of the basic daily things.
