Descending the stairs, Lucinda's heart kept thudding rapidly, as she grasped her gown with her fist tightly. She could feel her head spinning around as the sounds of the music kept frightening her. She wasn't scared of danger, she was scared because she was leaving her family with an unknown creature to a land that was prohibited for humans. Would she make it? Why did she have to leave? Well, her angel told her that it was for the better. She had to leave anyway. There was no place for her here. For the first time, her devil within was quiet.
On the last step to plummet, her eyes caught sight of the innumerable guest, drinking, eating, and dancing. Her eyes broadened in shock. It was like all the whole villagers were invited to the party.
"Finally the bad luck in our land Is leaving" Lucinda veered around as her eyes caught sight of the man who talked. Her heart clenched slowly as the desire for her to leave this place was getting stronger.
