Jolting back to reality, I got startled when I heard a holler outside. Now, I didn't know if I was just to heed orders and feel nonchalant about what was going on or if I should go out and see what was going on. Oh shit! This is war. What can a girl like me do? I can't just sit here!
"Back off, Phan!!" King Blagden hissed and then, the man chuckled.
"Sorry for disturbing your journey, but we are on a mission," Phan said as his gaze flew to the carriage. King Blagden hissed as he grabbed the man's collar.
"Who sent you?" He asked as he looked deep into the man's eyes compelling him to spill the truth
"King Herald" He answered and then, King Blagden used his claws to slit his neck. The man fell dead. Compelling all of them at once won't work out! They are damn two strong and much for the five of them to handle.
Knowing my dad was behind this sudden attack, my heart clenched. What more did he want? Wasn't he happy that I was leaving?
