Chapter 64 - 64

Her mother didnt dare come out and pick her up herself otherwise she would be in the news that very day. She could almost see the headlines.

SECREATARY TO THE PRIME MINISTER PICKING UP DAUGHTER WHO FAKE WORKING AT POPULAR CHAIN STORE!!

On the phone call her daughter her told her everything she knew that she paid someone to pretended to be an employee.

When the door opened and her tear eyed daughters entered she didny even look at her. Alison who was heart broken hugged her mother but she was suddenly pushed away which caught her bu surprise.

"Tell me was it your idea to go to Leif's house?" she asked her voice soft but her tone harsh.

Caught unaware Alison looked at her mother blankly her body shivering in fright. She started to cry again but her mother's voice suddenly raised a pitch higher as she asked again, "Stop crying! That's all you know cry cry all the time. Answer my question."

Alison bit her lips and stammered an answer. She would never admit it. She would never admit that she was the one who came up with the idea. She would never admit that from the very beginning she was the one who called Quinn over with this plan on mind. She wasn't stupid enough to admit it.

"I I I did not. It was her idea. She was was only trying to to help me," she said before a file was thrown at her. The file struck her face before the papers scattered all over. "You still deny it, huh? You have surely grown up that you even know how to lie to me. You lied to me for a man," she said and Alison touch her painful cheek with her trembling hands.

"But mum, I love him. I swear I won't ask for anything else. I just want to be with him. Why can't you do this for me? Dont you want me to be happy?" she said as she held her mother's hand begging.

"Does he look like an object I can just go the store and buy, huh? Even if I was a god I wouldn't be able to grant your wish. He doesn't like you. He doesn't like anyone. Leif is a heart son of a bitch and you deserve better, don't you realise that. We raised you better than that," she shouted angrily.

"But I can only love him," she said recalling how sweet that man was on the phone. She wanted him to say her lips were soft. She wanted him to say I love you to her not Quinn. Why couldn't it be her? Apparently she wasn't the only one asking that question. There were two other women who were very disgruntled by those engagement photos. They so wanted to replaced Quinn with a picture of themselves.

Unwilling to give up that easily she touched the car door handle and said, "I am going to find him. I want to know why he didnt choose me."

A crisp sound of slap rang in the air that even the driver and bodyguard standing outside shivered but they didnt dare turn their faces inside.

"Don't you have any dignity and pride as a woman? Huh? How can you reduce yourself to this? Is this what I have taught you all these years? Leave this car and don't bother coming back home. You can sleep in the streets for all I care."

That threat was enough to have her sitting silently. She wouldn't fair well in the outside world. She was well aware of her own strengths and weaknesses so she obediently sat there with her back straight but her contained a trace of stubbornness. She could only behave herself for now and soon find another chance to speak to Leif.

Mrs Bach knocked on the window and the two men who were standing outside got in the car. "No need to report this to Mr Back," she said and the two men responded quickly,

"Yes ma'am."

"You top she said to her daughter and Alison was forced to open her lips and answer, "Yes ma'am."

"Now wipe your tears and snort. It's an eyesore," said Mrs Bach thankful that her husband wasn't home for the next few days. Unlike her, her husband wasn't restrained. He would offend Leif for his daughter because he held her like a precious egg that was spoilt to the core. If she sees her crying like this he might start a war with Leif whick was very unreasonable.

Alison might have agreed but she couldn't want until her father came home so she act like a baby and cry.

The mother and daughter who had different ideas in their minds drove off together and bodyguard who had watched the entire scene go down called Earl and confirmed,

"Sir, they just left. Should we follow them?" asked a man with a cetus  tattoo on his neck.

"No, report back to base," he said before he cut the call. He started the car and drove off. Five more cars followed after him as they drove away.

Quinn walked outside as stood by the pool with her mat in her hand. She laid it on the floor and placed her phone a husky phone stand while taking to her mother on a video call.

"Why do you have to do this with me? I dont want to do yoga with you. I want to do pilates," said Quinn while pressing down her wireless earphones so they wouldn't fall out of her ear.

"Soon you will be someone's wife and won't have time for me so why can't hang out with you?" Asked Amalie while stretching her arms with a smile.

"Its not like I won't have time for you," she said and Amalie continued to say,

"And then you will have children... twins maybe..."

"Mum!" yelled Quinn with goosebumps all over body. She couldn't imagine having sex with Leif. Never never... no way in hell.

"I haven't even married yet you are already asking for children. Are you okay? Are you out of your mind or maybe you stopped taking your meds," she said as she knelt down to her into a child's pose.
